I have marked on the map the obvious route, but if someone could move you all there to confirm, I will move on. Wanna be 100% sure that's the way you wanna go. :D

![]() |

Leaf, I have no more slime, but you'll be the first I call if I get any more.
When we get to the courtyard, someone should run around to see if the statues try to get in the way. I won't. Because they'll likely attack me first.

Uthkosh waves to stay back a few paces as he leads the way out.

Thank you.
Hard-packed dirt marked with chalk lines creates a small track around most of this open yard. Within the loop of the track, a cleared oval provides a space for other types of exercise. Outside the track, statues stand on opposite sides of the yard, each posed in mid-stride, as though about to reach the finish line of a footrace. In the corner of the schoolyard grows a picturesque maple tree.
As you make your way out, you notice an additional two statues that you hadn't noticed before. (adjustments)
Exercise and physical education activities occur in the academy’s schoolyard on a rotating schedule. The statues are of former Pathfinder agents, though the names of the agents and history of the statues aren’t known to any of school staff. The statues are approximately six feet tall and articulated, allowing their arms and legs to be repositioned in the phases of the gait cycle. The schoolyard is currently clear, as any exercise equipment is stowed in the storage shed.
As Bela starts to investigate the statue, they suddenly come to life! White moves towards him, and smashes past Bela.

In fact, even with the chips flying, it does not give any. It very much looks and feels like a statue!

Bela plumbs the dark recesses of his mind, looking for hidden information about the statues.
He then grabs a scroll from his satchel and moves towards the wall.

![]() |

Bela is puzzled by these statues. They totally seem like nothing but statues. However, while they are not animated object of any type, they seem more like a magical hazard. As such, he thinks that one could use Athletics to hold back a statue, Crafting(T) to break it by exploiting a flaw, or Occultism(T) to dispel the planar energies that animate it.

![]() |

would I be able to retcon my actions based on that knowledge? If so, I would use occultism and grab a scroll and not move. A reminder I am also wearing the clay amulet from the students.

Thanks to Leaf, Two-Eye, and Uthkosh, you learn The statues’ shoulders have jagged claw marks in them. A creature that can reach the statues’ shoulders has been moving them regularly. It took just a spark of latent energy to send them across the schoolyard.
