I suggest we continue to Ms. Harisara's room, since some of us are almost there. Casey suggests, wanting to get inside for no reason other than she doesn't trust the statues.
If necessary, she will do thieving things to the door (but as this is a school, doesn't expect that will be necessary).
None of our notes refer to there being anything unusual there

![]() |

You don't find statutes like this on the high seas, Two-Eye says with a snort. Not unless they're being shipped elsewhere, leastaways.
He strides back into the school and checks out the door, opening it when the rest of the party assembles.

Bringing everyone near the two at the door
This room is notably cluttered with small baubles and minor magical knickknacks used to teach the basics of magic. Several desks contain sculpted clay figures.

Two-Eye steps in to have a look around.

When nothing springs out to attack folks as they search around, Uthkosh says, "I am going to find the next source of danger. I will call out when it is found."
He then moves to a door on the opposite side of the hallway and opens it.
Moved Uthkosh beside the door he means to open

![]() |

Bela, did you want to change your exploration mode?
The party does not find anything more in the room. Seems pretty boring.
Uthkosh moves across the hall, and throws open the door. Colorful posters wallpaper this room, illustrating flora and fauna from across Golarion. A pet tortoise sleeps in a small terrarium in a corner of the room.

![]() |

Deciding that speed is better than caution, Uthkosh quickly moves about the room. He scans it for anything more dangerous than the turtle and, should nothing spring up, moves to the door to the south and repeats his process.

Dining tables and chairs are arranged in neat rows, providing ample space for group meals. Storage cabinets sit below the window overlooking the grounds.

You all find a basket of hundreds of gift-wrapped cookies from Dulethre’s Delights, a local bakery, that has a sign reading “Please Take These!” pinned to its handle.

![]() |

So, for some reason, everyone except Uthkosh is still in Ms. Hirasara’s Classroom. Did you want to be elsewhere? If so, please move yourselves.
On the teacher's desk in this room, dictionaries and thesauri stand in neat, right-angled stacks. A board near the window displays posted student compositions and poetry in a variety of forms.

![]() |

Casey realizes she's hungry as she peers around the room and decides she might have to take one of the pastries. She's too distracted to notice much else.

![]() |

Uthkosh notices that a disproportionate number of the compositions seem to incorporate snake or serpent imagery.

![]() |

Why did it have to be snakes Looks at everyone else. Someone was going to say it!
Are there snake demons or deities which might be involved here?

The mushroom of doom enters the room, looking under the student desks.

"If you've all searched these areas, I think we've only got the outbuilding left," Uthkosh says to the group. "Give me a sign and I'll lead us there."
Have we done a broad search through all the rooms? If not, I think we should do that before heading to the outbuilding.

![]() |

Bela attempts to remember what he knows about serpents and other herpetology matters.
Lore check for snakes and serpent iconography?

![]() |

Nothing comes to Bela's mind. There is a lot of serpent imagery in the prose, but no common threads other than that.

![]() |

Uthkosh leads the group to the outbuilding, shield at the ready. Once there, he opens the door and steps in.

![]() |

Would you like me to do any checking of the door first? If he opens it before Casey can say this, then she just follows along. She is quite ready for a fight The interviews did say there should be something inside, and a light flickering.

Aren't they cute. We should leave them alone. You know, unless they're evil and demonic.

Bela's eyes go wide as he stands motionless. The room fills with webs and wisps of aether whirling in and out of focus. Bela sees a glimpse of the future; every future; all crashing into themselves. Purple and indigo motes explode and melt around him. Finally a pale spindly hand reaches towards him, palm open holding a small fetish with copper pieces for eyes.
