Even grappled by the tentacle, Anorak was still peppered with bolts by his ally. All four found their mark, leaving the wizard bleeding profusely.

But even without it, she won't be a problem much longer."

Eliora, realizing what had happened to Thip, fought her way past the tentacles. rough terrain, this costs 20 feet of movement. Using her prayer bead, she focuses on the archer, willing him to come back to his right mind. Thip feels the compulsion end.
I don't think I got the rest of Eliora's action?
"You like to play with fire, hairy one?" Acererak spits at the dwarf. Rolling a pinch of bat guano between his fingertips, Acererak blows on it from breathless lungs, and hurls it at the northern balcony. A fireball explodes over the lava, ratcheting the heat up to lung-searing levels. Fire roars over all four of them. Mike's crates and boxes begin to burn, and the cauldron becomes red-hot.

Anorak feels the tentacle start to pull him towards the lava, and the burned and impaled wizard magics himself further up the stairwell.
The Soulmonger, the atropal, and the tentacles finally vanish beneath the lava with a final hot burp.
From where he stands on the south balcony, Acererak takessome fur, a small shiny rod, and three silver pins from a pocket. His hands surprisingly dextrous for one without visible muscles, he rubs them together, creating a large spark in his hand. Drawing back, he pitches the spark at Eliora. A bolt of lighting flies across the steamy chamber and crackles into her chest. From there, it splits into three smaller arcs, which fly towards Thip, Anorak and Mike. His split and withered lips peel back into a satisfied grin, and he then walks over to the other side of the small balcony.

Free of the domination, Thip turns his crossbow once more to the lich. Realizing the arrows are coming his way, Acererak waves a hand in a circle around his body, and a dome of light briefly appears around him before facing away. Reaction to cast Shield. The spell does the trick, and three of Thip's arrows are deflected and fly harmlessly off to the side. One, however, finds its mark in the undead's bony shoulder. Seeing Anorak and Eliora working together to get her to the south balcony, Thip uses his magical boots to start flying across the lava, hoping to stay close to the paladin.
Erith's foul-mouthed Echo reappears, and the Knight directs her attacks through it. Again, only one of the blows finds its mark, the rest deflected by the protective spell.
Mike, her enchanted objects falling into the lava below, shakes off the burns and the lightning, and calls upon her deity. A bolt of holy energy arcs across the lava to strike the lich directly between the eye, blowing a hole in his skull and rocking him on his feet.
A somewhat surprised howl of pain came from the lich. A look of something akin to respect passes across his withered feature. "Not without skill," he mutters, as if to himself. Snapping off a piece of skull that was hanging in front of his eye-lights, Acererak takes a bottle of thick brown liquid and pours some onto the piece of bone. He tosses it over the lava, and it flies partway across, to hover in the middle of the chamber. It rotates for a moment, then bursts into an explosion of brown, muddy sparks. They dance in the heat-wash of the lava for a few seconds, then zoom unerringly to the five living souls in the room.
Each of the adventurers feels the impacts, and feels pain and lethargy wash over them. The focus their will, trying to fight off the attack, but not all are successful. The brown sparks burrow out of their flesh again, leaving small, bleeding holes, and fly back across to Acererak. Wherever they land upon him, he regenerates a piece of himself that had been previously damaged.
Within you, the trickster gods cry out in pain, as their spirits are torn into pieces. They can only give you 30 temp HP now

Seeing that the bridge the paladin had been about to leap on had vanished, Anorak grants Eliora the gift of flight, and urges her onward. Needing no further encouragement, Eliora flies swiftly over the lava, landing on the south balcony to strike two vicious blows, both carving bloodless chunks from the lich's body.
refresh steal life?: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Yep
Acererak hesitates, deciding whether or not to use on of his spells to finish one of the adventurers off for good. Instead, he decides to capitalize on the injury he's already caused, and keep it up before the trickster gods are able to bolster their life again. Repeating his action from last time, he uses his small components to create a bolt of lightning.
Seeing the archer moving towards him, but currently conveniently positioned about 30 feet away from everybody, he targets Thip with his spell. Hitting him, the lightning arcs to all four of the other party members, striking them, despite their attempts to dodge out of the way.
