OH WAIT BONEFACE! I REMEMBER! DIDNT YOU USE TO BE THE BRAT OF WHATSHISNAME? YOU KNOW, STUPID BOTTOM FEEDING ORKUS WORSHIPPING BALOR WHO GENOROUSLY DONATED HIS LUNCH MONEY TO ME IN BALOR HIGH SCHOOL? I MEAN, I GET WHY YOU BECAME A LICH AND STOPPED BEING A HALF BALOR! I WOULD BE ASHAMED OF THAT HERITAGE AS WELL!
Shouts Eriths Echo.
F+@# me I am going to get super nuked. Says Erith.

Anorak laughs at Erith.
That bag of bones may want to marry you now! Probably been talking dirty to old dust breath this entire time!
heading to orthopedic appointment today so post later once home.

Thip moves away from the dhampir. At this rate, he was going to run out of bolts.
Pretty sure I go before Mike, so no advantage.

Eliora Riese |

Eliora growled as Acererak tried to get away. Like a coiled snake ready to strike, her muscles tensed before launching herself into the air to grab his ankle. Her hand clasped his bony ankle with an iron grip and then she swung her sword upwards in an arc empowering it with divine energy.
She has two attacks so she'll grapple with the 1st and stab with the 2nd - if I understood what you posted in the discussion properly. She uses her longsword 1-handed anyways

F!*# F%** F%$! I dont want to be hit with that spehre again
Erith pretends to cower, but stays within 10 feet of the sphere and 30 feet of her echo (and nobody else I hope)
Mathematically, this is probably possible, especially if Eliora uses the rest of her move to drag Mr. Bonyface around. In absence of a 3d map (not that I would expect one lel) its hard to do though. I think the sphere is one of his least damaging things, so I would rather he burn actions at that!

I am guessing my Concentration check failed and Paly is no longer Flying?
Anorak looses his concentration on the ongoing Fly spell. The bronze smiles meekly. He then decides to try to get within 60' of the old dry and dustbuster looking antique.
He then casts Sunbeam at the dusty dried prune-looking, but prune lovers get mad at that comparison, so we don't use it officially, asshat.
Sorry Paly, but since you aren't flying anymore...
Constitution saving throw DC 17 Radiant damage: 6d8 + 5 ⇒ (5, 1, 5, 3, 5, 8) + 5 = 32
Undead and oozes have disadvantage on this saving throw.
Starting to make me upset.

From over Eliora's head, Acererak grimaced as Erith took everything he dished out, and remained standing. As arrows continued to pepper the lich, he again shielded himself. Thip, however, was getting the hang of his opponent, and three of them pierced the skeletal wizard.
Angry, but not yet afraid, the lich rolled guano and sulfer between his palms again, he muttered, "I'll burn you out like fleas, one by one, if I must." He threw the roaring ball of fire at Thrip, hoping to end the archer for good. The wash of heat blew his robes around, and singed Eliora's hair.
fireball damage on Thip: 8d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 5, 3, 2, 1, 2) = 23 Ugh, horrible damage!! Dex save DC 23 for half
Erith's echo unleased a devastating attack, three of her blows carving deep chunks from the withered body. To add insult to injury, she insulted him while she injured him. Acererak's eyelights flickered in recognition. "I thought I recognized that voice. Say goodbye to your vessel, Roegan Joe." He sent another fireball whistling in the opposite direction, directly at the Echo Knight.
fireball damage on Erith: 8d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 5, 4, 1, 5, 2, 3) = 30 That's a little better. Dex save DC 23 for half.
Mike's spiritual hammer slid harmlessly off Acererak's head, but her holy bolt slammed straight into his chest, radiance burning flesh and cloth alike.
Acererak almost paid back her excellent aim with yet another fireball - his ire was up and he was greatly enjoying the rapid-fire fireballs. However, he wanted to get rid of the Balor-lover first.
fireball damage on Erith again.: 8d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 5, 4, 3, 1, 1) = 23 Oh come on!! Dex save DC 23 for half.
He then felt a hand close around his ankle. Kicking ineffectually at the paladin, he was unable to dislodge her. Fortunately for the lich, she was unable to aim well while dangling, and her sword swing went wild.
athletics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12 haha nope
It was then that Anorak sent a beam of pure sunlight blazing through the chamber. Unable to dodge with the half-orc hanging from his leg, he took it full on, and it burned away at the already charred area that Mike had just burned.
dex save at disadvantage: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 31d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 hahaha nope nope
Ugh, he's not looking too good.
The lich responded instinctively to being blinded. He knew the next few seconds could go very badly for him. He wasn't quite ready to give up - revenge could still be had - but it would cost him.
Acererak wished for maddening darkness.
The entire room was plunged in complete and utter darkness. A horrible cacophony of shrieks, gibbering, and insane laughter filled the chamber, seeming to come from all sides at once. It tore at the mind, damaging the sanity of all who heard it.
Blinded, flying out over the lava, he knew he would be unable to shake off the paladin's iron grip. However, he didn't need to. Sinking down, all he had to do was dip her into the lava.
Unless somebody can think of a way out of this, that's lava damage: 10d10 ⇒ (1, 6, 3, 8, 9, 9, 4, 3, 5, 3) = 51
Erith's echo will get an AoO when he flies away at disadvantage
At the start of your turn, roll 8d8 psychic damage, then Wis saving throw DC 23 for half damage. The effect is 60' radius, which is more than enough for the entire chamber.

![]() |

Wis DC 23: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 148d8 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 8, 7, 4, 8, 4) = 37 7 hp damage after temp.
Anorak winks at the dirt nap ready bag of dust.
Your ugly when your mad.
He hits the dirty old man again!
Constitution saving throw DC 17 Radiant damage: 6d8 + 5 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 3, 5, 2) + 5 = 29
Undead and oozes have disadvantage on this saving throw.

Eliora Riese |

Psychic damage: 8d8 ⇒ (4, 4, 2, 7, 7, 5, 4, 2) = 35
Wis,DC23, Aura of Protection: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 7 + 2 = 24
Eliora has no reaction spells so she has nothing to help her against being dipped in lava and so between the psychic damage and lava damage, even with the temp hit points, I think she's gone
Damage: 54-51-17 = -14
It's been fun :) Good luck!

Thip "Try not dying" Bowmann |

I guess later is now!
If I understand the rules correctly, truesight sees through magical darkness.
"Oh no! I'm firing blindly at the voices!" Thip says unconvincingly.
Also: Battle master fighter maneuvers only activate on hits. So I think I still have two uses left? It's time for a desperate maneuver.
Thip flies directly above Acererak. Then he unleashes a final barrage of bolts. There was a reason he had burned through the lich's legendary resistances. It was in preparation for this moment. The first two attacks that hit will activate the pushing maneuver. He has to make a DC 18 strength save, or be pushed 15ft directly away from me, into the lava. (Also adds another Extra Damage: 2d10 ⇒ (8, 8) = 16 onto the two bolts.
Bolt: 1d20 + 15 + 1d4 ⇒ (1) + 15 + (1) = 17
Bolt: 1d20 + 15 + 1d4 ⇒ (10) + 15 + (3) = 28
Damage: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Bolt: 1d20 + 15 + 1d4 ⇒ (14) + 15 + (1) = 30
Damage: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Bonus Bolt: 1d20 + 15 + 1d4 ⇒ (20) + 15 + (4) = 39
Bolt Crit: 1d20 + 15 + 1d4 ⇒ (19) + 15 + (1) = 35
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 2) + 9 = 13
[ooc]I hope this works...cinematic, and we get to avenge the fallen member! Maybe we'll get enough XP to res?

Michaela "Mike" Dornslagdam |

I can even save Eliora if I could see her. Healing word brings her back to conscious. There is no negative hp in 5e and if I heal her before she fails a death saving throw she can weeble wobble for quite a while. Once positive I can then banish her until we can get a more permanent solution.

Erith "Beerfiend" var Emrys |

dex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 YESSSSSSSSSS
dex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
As if temporarily benefitting from Roeganjoes fire resistance, Erith takes suprisingly limited degrees of damage.
Erith takes 38 points of damage, with 30 of these being taken up by her temp hp barrier, putting her to 20.
Need to get into discussion
wisdom: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17 nope
psychic: 8d8 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 2, 5, 4, 5, 3) = 28 there go the freshly reaquired temp hp i guess.

Roeganjoe the Balor |

My "Vessel" is still there, she is too hot for your fireballs! Clever of you to cover her hotness, and your brittleness with that ugly spell though. You didnt expect it to affect me did you? That reminds of that pathetic farce when your dead tried to hit me with a fireball. The things I did in return ahahaha
Erith, focus, think of the last time you took psychic damage, think of how you will take such pleaseant damage again, all you need to do is win! Speaks a telepathic, melodic and concerned sounding voice to Erith.
Well Vivi, you once said that when I fall, you will be there to catch me? Serious Succubus Promise yes?
Oh, Ohhhhhhhhhhh The voice answers to her as she lays out her plan.

Michaela "Mike" Dornslagdam |

I don't know what's happened, lol. I do need to do this however.
Will vs DC 23: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Psychic: 8d8 ⇒ (8, 5, 5, 4, 1, 7, 7, 7) = 44 Not enough to get through temp hp.
Mike tries to rid the area of the supernatural darkness.
Dispel magic: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 Nope!

Eliora Riese |

Woot! Not dead!
Would it be possible to get a summary of what happened and who did what this round so I can figure out what Eliora may be able to do?

What, is this not all totally clear?
Acererak cast Maddening Darkness and started to float out to the lava and Eliora let go and dropped back to the balcony.
Thrip is trying to fire and push Acererak down into the lava, unless he changed his mind about that, but I don't see any reason why that wouldn't still work.
Erith missed an AoO, but I don't think I have an action from her yet.
Mike tried to dispel magic and failed.
Eliora - waiting for her turn.
Anorak - succeeded on his Concentration check, but firing into the dark. He needs to roll a d100, and will hit Acererak on 51-100.

Erith "Beerfiend" var Emrys |

I was waiting on his concentration rolls to maintain darkness after Thips barrage.
Erith moves her echo to where she heard the sounds of the lich being hit, and noted that these got closer and closer towards the Lava.
She then swung wildly at the Lich from above.

If he makes concentration, 1 attack hits, bonus attakc probably too but he can block it via shield.
If he fails, Eriths attack first 5 attack rolls are 1 (miss) 17/18/20/17 (which all hit, one via crit) for a crapton of damage.

Not sure if her darkvision sees through the magical darkness but even if it does, she can't reach him
Eliora reluctantly lets go of her quarry when it became evident that she couldn't weigh him down and he was heading back over the lava. She punctuates her displeasure with a roar of frustration.
She then takes a few cleansing breaths and forces herself to focus on her goddess and channels her divine power through her body to disperse a piece of it into the others.
Casting Crusader's Mantle: all friendlies within 30ft of Eliora deal an extra 1d4 radiant damage to attacks that hit

I spent all weekend trying to figure out how to wrangle my way out of this, but came up empty.
Annoyed that the paladin had let go before he could get her out over the lava, Acererak at least was no longer hindered by her weight. Before he could get his bearings, however, Thip flew overhead and unleashed hell. Even with his magical shield, the lich could not prevent all the arrows from finding their target, and somehow this time he found himself being driven away by the brutality of the attack.

In the darkness, they heard a scream of fury, then the sizzle of something burning in the lava. "You may think you've won, but I have time on my side. Your grandchildren shall feel the wrath of my reven...."
The sounds faded away, and the maddening darkness lifted. A few scraps of cloth finished burning in the lava, and the chamber was silent once more.
Well damn. That was just too devastating for him. Well played, Thrip.
Thanks everybody! Not only didn't I get my TPK, I didn't get a single kill. Turns out making decisions for the ultimate evil lich is something I need to work at. But it was fun trying! Acererak is going to be so mad when he regenerates in: 1d10 ⇒ 8 days. He'll definitely think twice about building a doomsday device over lava again. And you know Roeganjoe is never going to let him live it down.

Michaela "Mike" Dornslagdam |

*Golf clap*
And seriously don't build something over a lava pit unless you absolutely need to. Rookie archvillian mistake.

Roeganjoe the Balor |

As the father so the son! Also, the toothpick dispenser just won an all expenses paid 1 week trip to Alyushinnarra, 3 scrolls of death ward and 3 scrolls of restoration included, anyone who f**+s with him, non-consensually, gets a date with my vorpal suplex!
Ahahaha, that wont even cost 2% of the money I made with betting on the mortals!
Shouts booming voice out of Eriths Echo.
Suddenly, a incredibly attractive (even for a Succubus), regal looking, Succubus appears in front of Thip, holding a wand of Clarion Call in front of him.
Congratulations Sir Toothpick Slaughter! You have just made me even richer then I already was, and cost 3 demon lords a lot of money, but dont worry, Lady Nocticula also ran a sizeable profit betting on the mortal murder hoboes so you will likely be fine! How do you feel about this? And what is your actual name? Literally millions of watching Demons want to know! Where you aiming for Mr. Boneys arse on purpose? Because I could have sworn that all your final arrows hit just that spot!
Without waiting for his answer, she lets the wand telekinetically levitate in front of him, and suddenly teleports in front of Anorak.
That was a creative use of earth to mud! I for one will be rearranging some of my own doomsday devices! Also, I think I was dating your current mental co-host but I may misremember. What inspired you to this hilarious idea?
As another wand of Clarion Call telekinetically hovers in front of Anorak, she appears before Eliora.
Well Lady Paladin, while you may believe your contribution to have been limited, do not forget that you stopped the Lich from Yoinking Sir Toothpick slaughter and killing everyone, so great job! If you could undo one of your actions, which would it be?
Another wand of clarion call flies before Eliora as the Succubus reappears before Mikaela
Do you know that, technically speaking, we are now married on account of Lady Erith being one of my consorts? I look forward to deepening our acquaintance, I always had a soft spots for competent support characters, so you as well get the same deal that Sir Toothpick Slaughter got, although whoever messess with you gets a date with my 10-finger-of-death-special spell! Oh, and you must tell me more about the state of Neo-Las-Vegas, it sounds just like my type of place!
Finally, she appears before Erith, blows her a kiss, which for some reason fully heals her, opens a portal to the Abyss behind Erith and spartakicks a flabbergasted Erith through it. Saying Time for some more enjoyable psychic damage! before moving through it herself.

Thip "Try not dying" Bowmann |

"I can't believe that worked..."
When Thip turns to the demon, there's a slightly panicked look on his face, until he remembers that Thip isn't his real name, and he'll probably be fine.
"Names Thip, I'm called that because that's the sound my crossbow makes, and I think it's a nice noise. And I'm planning on either going on honeymoon, or finding a divorce lawyer, or possibly both, depending on what everyone else wants."
As Thip hovers away from the wand of Clarion Call, he calls out to the others, "Anyone want a scroll of death ward?

Liliyashanina |

Alyushinnyrra is a great destination for both Honeymoons and finding divorce lawyers, let me assure you this good Sir. Just be careful with signing things pretending to be autogramms.
As a projection of the regal Succubus reappears in front of him, cleary doing something with her tail that was not part of the projection.
Prudent of you to keep your name secret, you passed the first intelligence test! Thip hears the same melodic voice in his mind, as well as Erith making happy noises in the background.
I do happen to be an information broker of some small repute, and you now qualify for the relatively big boy leagues in terms of interesting adventurer assignments. I will contact you via Erith-chan, once I am done fully expressing to her how glad I am of her victory. Given your marital status you are of course welcome to join in, the portal is still open :). the voice continues speaking in Thips head.
