The group heads up the stairs cautiously.
The staircase opens onto a grand hall of polished obsidian and red marble. The walls are decorated with reliefs of a gleaming brass city, a massive sandstorm scouring a desert, and a horde of fire elementals descending on a city full of terrified humans. Rivers of slowly bubbling lava crisscross the floor, all streaming out of an elaborate altar at the far side of the room. Atop the altar sits a squat golden idol, 3 feet tall, of a bull-headed man, its arms raised and its hands holding a large thorned sword and a huge battleaxe. The idol’s eyes glow a deep crimson. Lava flows impossibly fast out of the bull-headed idol’s open mouth and down its torso, fanning out from there into rivers on the floor. Behind the altar, an obsidian relief of geometric forms stretches from floor to ceiling. Smoky forms flit across the relief ’s surface, their fiery eyes staring out at the room.
The cult’s leader and self-appointed prophet, Hafshi Al-Moloch, toils away in the Lava Temple to keep open a portal to Malebolge.
On the next level, the group is able to mostly spill into the room before noticed, but due to squeezing and the lava coursing through the floor it is a tight fit before spreading out.
Thanks to their reflexes and their warning from the dwarf below, they are all able to move first.

I'm pretty sure that the Havoc trait adds 1 point of force damage to your damaging spells, rather than turning them all into Force spells.
Boomy leaps over the lava on springy roots, rushing to confront the cult leader. The angry spirits of the Mana Waste accompany him.
Acrobatics 10 (12 with rage up) means auto-passing any Jump checks needed to get over the lava.

Katswiri eyes the rivulets of lava warily, remembering the time she tripped and fell into a similar sized stream of water. She chooses to stay on the far side, gesturing as a boom of sound blasts into Hafshi from the side.

The group closes in but the cultist deftly dodges the first swing of a longsword but doesn't have the balance to avoid the quick rapier of Tabar. However, the pain wakes her back up in time as two rays of energy pass close by.
The booming sound causes her to wince in pain but she keeps her wits as she prepares to retaliate.

Hafshi is sweating but not from the heat, she steps back away from the group and casts a spell to defend herself.
She takes the time to avoid the enlarged Claremguard and a wall of fire erupts around Hafshi. THe flames are so thick that vision of Hafshi is blocked and the entire room is filled with even more immense heat. Tendrils of fire reach out the those on the other side.

Begin casting Silence. With a 1 round cast time, it will go off right before Katswiri's next turn. I drew the silence area; no spells with verbal components will be able to cast in there or sonic abilities.
Also GM, Communal Protection from Fire blocks 84 damage per person; it was a 4th level spell, so Katswiri had to get it at Caster Level 7 (which is why she needed a caster level check to cast it). It only wears off for a subject when that subject takes the full fire damage.

Sorry, my health has been failing and the weekend I was down for the count. One could carefully step through the room over lava but the wall is thick enough that crossing it in any manner will burn you. Luckily the group is all but fireproof for now.

She fights against the suffocating pressure of the silence spell and jerks away from hammer and blade, but only for a short moment before Carlin sends a barrage of missiles colliding with the cultist's jaws. She falls limp over the dais where the idol sits, a small portal into a fiery realm swirling at its center.
A MM is enough to put her out of her misery.
As the clamor of battle fades away, and in a few moments the wall of fire itself turns to a shower of sparks before disappearing completely, the group can focus again on their goal of the idol.

Katswiri is a Lore Oracle, and her most stand out ability is to more or less automatically succeed at three out of combat Int based skill checks each day using her Focused Trance ability. She spends standard actions for 1d6 rounds (which usually precludes combat use), then gets to make a check with a +20 circumstance bonus. Her natural divination ability also usually is used to get two skill checks with a +10 competence bonus, for helping to guarantee a few important non-int skill checks. She can also effectively cast Divination 1/day with a 1 minute cast time to get general advice on the adventure. I usually flavor all these abilities as either omens or visions of the past or future, as Katswiri is a seer.
In addition to her limited use abilities, she can act as a face with a good diplomacy and reasonable bluff check, and is trained in every int based skill, so can handle a lot of skill checks even once her limited use abilities run out.
In combat, she's less exciting, mostly acting as support with buffing and healing. She's got a -4 initiative modifier, so is almost always last, and is carrying a medium load and medium armor so isn't very mobile. She usually casts sound burst or heals people depending on the situation, though can also do mediocre melee damage with her mace. She gets CHA to AC and Reflex saves in place of dex, so does have a pretty good AC though.
Katswiri has the deaf oracle curse, so she cannot hear. Mechanically, deafness:
--Causes her to automatically fail all perception checks based on sound
--Gives her a -4 penalty to initiative checks [Reduced to -2 by her curse's level 5 ability].
--Gives her a -4 penalty to opposed perception checks
--Makes her immune to language dependent spells and abilities, audible bardic performances, and some specific spells or situations (like the stun on sound burst)
--Would give her a 20% spell failure chance for casting spells with verbal components, but her curse gives her the silent spell metamagic on all her spells for free with no level or cast time increase.

More recently, she has purchased magical Spectacles of Lip Reading, which have made it much easier for her to understand those around her without needing ideal conditions (she just needs to pass a DC 0 perception check, modified by distance and conditions as appropriate to understand someone as long as she speaks the language they are using). Most of the time, lip reading is sufficient to allow her to function pretty well, but occasionally events will require some help with someone repeating information or explaining things, like when she runs into intelligent talking objects or there are loud noises out of sight that need to be responded to.
Katswiri keeps a visual journal of her adventures, where if she has the opportunity, she will paint pictures of various important events or interesting people/scenery/objects that occur during the mission. Its mostly fluff, but it's fun, and its how she does her reporting for the society. All of the mission paintings are described in her profile; perhaps she'll have a chance to share some stories with you Papa :)

What do people think about moving Claremguard and Papa to the middle or back of the formation?
Katswiri can frontline if need be though would prefer not to if feasible due to her low initiative. I think we might want to try and get our people playing up out of the front at the start of combats though to get a little extra protection for them. If Boom or Tabar don't want to be in front, Katswiri can take one of the slots.

Òxọ́lé is designed for melee and will lose some effectiveness from the second rank, but he loses even more effectiveness if he is out of HP before he gets his first turn.

Boom Sticks is probably best in the 1st or 2nd rank. He's primarily a reach fighter, but also loves to make BOOMs with his firearms and can do so in melee range. Since he has ranged attacks he can go almost anywhere in formation but mostly his ranged attacks are low damage.
Though this is an early scenario, some of those can be pretty wild in terms of encounters. We have the advantage of 6 PCs in a scenario written for 4, but the lvl 2s are of course at greater risk. Probably better to have more hp at the front.

Here are the chronicles. That took way longer than I wanted but I couldnt really get my PDFs to let me edit them. RPG Chronicles saved me once the scenario was fixed.

I have similar problems. Google Drive cannot preview the files. The chronicle does download, but then it cannot be opened.
I did not receive my player boon yet either.
