Not sure about next scenario though. Didn't we think about it previously? Before we start Protactorates Petition?

I'm open to anything. Do you have a list of possibilities? Stell has only played a few scenarios so far.

I asked around and we can apply your Salvation's End Chronicles to your first level PCs with monetary reward suitable for level 1-2 instead of 3-4. That will make you guys level 2 and we can play the First Mandate which kicks off the Scoured Stars Arc properly.

Whether you want to take the Salvation's End chronicle at first level or not is a decision for each of you to make individually.

I'll have to do some creative RP if we do the First Mandate, assuming that introduces the events in the Scoured Stars. I wrote into Stell's background that her parents were Starfinders on the Scoured Stars adventure. She was motivated to join the Starfinders hoping to get news of her parents' fate and possibly help rescue them, or at least recover their bodies for proper burial and closure.

I could fudge her background such that she joined the Starfinders at the same time as her parents, but did not get chosen for the Scoured Stars mission. Some of the RP from earlier missions assumed a different timeline, but that shouldn't affect anyone in this group.

Looking forward to it and to leveling up to 3rd.

The First Mandate takes place after most of the Starfinder fleet is trapped in the Scoured Stars.

You guys have been awesome with your roleplay and the way you've found all the secrets of Tanbantria. You've made some very shrewd deductions from the evidence.

This bit with the coins is the last very minor thing. If you could all post just to indicate whether your report is for or against extending protectorate status to the copaxi.

It's been fun. A nice change of pace from high combat encounters, especially for an envoy/operative character like Stell.

Thundergun reports as neutral as possible. Although there is a tiny affiliation. So I will vote for extending protectorate although additional cultural research and interventions are advice.

Claim to Salvation Chronicles can be found here. Let me know if they need changes. Past history would indicate at least a few mistakes, so check carefully.

So...what exactly do we do with these Chronicle sheets again? Society Play isn't something I'm very familiar with.

The chronicles are your confirmation of participation in this game. They record your success (money, experience) and sometimes some kind of relationship with specific NPCs (this may come in handy later, sometimes years later in other scenarios). The main idea of SFS is that we can play the same character at different tables with different players. But everyone is on an equal footing, defined by the rules of the SFS. Everyone started from the first level, they also accumulated chronicles and so on. When you play a scenario for 11-14 levels and everyone who is gathered at the table has characters who have passed 30+ games, this is a cool experience. But, the main thing in SFS is the constant acquaintance with new people (players), while preserving your favorite character, his story and progress. I hope I explained ))

I am reporting on the Paizo site. At least I tried when I posted your chronicles. I was going to check at lunch to see if I was successful.

Yes, Claim To Salvation has been recorded on the Paizo site. At least it is showing up under my sessions, so I imagine it's also recorded in yours.

I'm at the end of the term, which means grading and prep for next term takes precedence for a bit. Will post soon.

Ditto the holiday well wishing everyone. Hope joy is high and stress is low.

Stell will be leveling up with the credits from the chronicle for Protectorate Petition. I will work on that during my vacation week.

I'm neutral on more players. If the party is well balanced, then 4 is fine. If we could use someone to fill a necessary role like healer, then recruitment is an option.

I think we can handle it if at least 3 out of 4 players gonna be relativelly active.

Although we gonna lack of some skills as Wis-based - we generally have Tech + Rogue + Face which is fine.

I'm inclined to agree...though it would be nice to have someone with experience in the spiritual side of things...

I'll probably add another level of operative to Stell to improve her melee effectiveness.

I'm going up to level 3, so you don't have to worry too much about combat encounters. I still don't hold the punch very well, but I will start to cause significantly more damage (+6 per shot).

Reviewing my chronicles, I realize Stell should have been 3rd level this whole time. I'm trying to contact the GMs of some of the other games because my chronicles in the form of pdfs got corrupted and need replacing. It mainly affects my credits available, so I've done the level up decisions and just need to update the Paizo profile and Stell 3.0 will be ready.

She's taking another level of operative, which gives her Evasion and an operative exploit called Lightning disguise. She can gain the effects of an alter self spell for a few minutes with just a standard action.

For her 3rd level feat, she has Versatile Focus (Small Arms), which gives her a +1 to hit with small arms. She also has at least 1 rank in all skills, with Bluff being her strongest skill.

Happy New Year! So much going on at the end of last year, I'm glad we had the break. The company where I work was bought out. Had to do a bunch of paperwork, pick new insurance, etc. And then had the inevitable rush job before Christmas, rescuing someone else who had messed up a job. And then was surprisingly busy with family things after Christmas.

But I'm feeling good. I hope you all are too, with good prospects ahead and some enthusiasm for rebooting the campaign. This game has been really great from my perspective; I've enjoyed it immensely thanks to your excellent role-play and creativity. And thank you for your patience with my pacing of posting.

Stell has Weapon Focus (Small Arms) already. It is a prerequisite for Versatile Focus.

Then versatile focus gives you +1 with all the weapons you're proficient with.

When using my phone, the second slide and subsequent slides are often not apparent, but can be reached by the page counter in the lower left corner.

I haven't set up a new game thread yet. But I will.

Three scenarios = 3 experience points = level up in Starfinder. So Idir should be leveling up. In addition, you've collected reputation, boons, fame (or acheivement points), and money. Your chronicles tell you how much of each.

Boons are special abilities or perqs that you might get for each scenario. Reputation points 'unlock' special boons, services, or favors that your faction can provide. Fame used to be how those boons or favors could be purchased.

Fame got a little more complicated because in the middle of 2022 SFS switched from Fame to Acheivement points. I haven't used Acheivement points yet, so I'm not sure exactly how they work, but you do 'spend' them to buy boons, services, and favors.

Money is easy. You can use it to buy gear. There are limits. You can buy -
1. Equipment listed in the Starfinder Core Rulebook with an
item level equal to your character level + 1.
2. All equipment listed in sanctioned Starfinder content with an
item level equal to your character.
3. Any equipment listed on your character’s Chronicle Sheets with
an item level equal to your character level + 2.
4. All items and services purchased with Fame.

The Starfinder Society Guide has more information.

New game thread for the First Mandate

Entered the data. GM, please note that I set Sense Motive +2, but this is only if I had telepathic contact with the subject, otherwise it's 0.

I'll be fine with the four of us. In sfs scenarios, there are usually encounter simplifications for 4-players party.

So it turns out I had a brain fart and didn't even level Idir up to 2nd level, so now I've gotta do two level ups. Derp!

EDIT: Okay, I think I've got everything updated level-wise for the most part. I'm unsure of how many boons I can have again. I'm tempted by the Copaxi Linguist Slotless Boon, but does that mean I have to give up the Marked Field Agent one? And there wasn't any fame specific to any particular factions, right? Just the ones we're specifically aligned with personally?

You should all be at level 2 at the beginning of this scenario, except Stell Z-Lin . Clebsch73 brought her to the game with some pre-existing experience.
