You have now heard the firearm go off four times.
The two goblins left move 20 feet forward and shoot their bows again. The larger charges Niversal. The two goblins shoot their bows and they all hit their mark. The larger creature slashes with its great axe and downs Niversal but not before he acts.

This ugly creature resembles a twisted shadow puppet’s silhouette, a wild thing of flared black and brown fur whose pelt juts out from its body at freakish angles. The crouching shadow’s ears are large and floppy, draping shoulder-length, adding to the creature’s unnatural shape. Its eyes are too big for its head. Tremendous milk-white ovals loom on either side of the thing’s wheezy pig-like nose. Its panting mouth is filled with bristly needle-teeth spiderwebbed in disgusting strands of yellowish saliva, all vibrating to the tune of its wheezing breath.

During Combat Bugbears do not enjoy protracted fighting and seek to down a foe and slip away as quickly and quietly as possible. They favor hit-and-run tactics when the situation allows, striking at the most vulnerable point or member of a group.
Morale A bugbear is not foolish enough to fight to the death, as that would preclude it from menacing others at a later date. It usually flees if reduced to 5 hit points.

Jon looked at the morning star as it changed to fit his grip. Nice he decided, swinging it a little and getting a feel for its heft and weight.
As Zaidel used his magic to heal everyone he focused on the young lady, using Mending on the damaged parts of her clothes. It wouldn't be perfect but at least she'd be covered, clean and comfortable.

"You good, Zaidel? Looks like that last bit of magic took your breath away?" the big man asked with mild concern.

Daniel is caught by surprise when he suddenly burps as Zaidel channels. Quickly putting two and two together, he picks up the pace and gets out of range before the next one, not needing any healing himself.
He does shoot the cleric a Look, though.
When the next gunshot sounds, he looks concerned. "Should we pick up the pace? I mean... I guess we can't rush the kids, and we need to be gentle with the rescuee, and... okay, maybe we can't rush."

Round 9
The orc pulls out a bag on his belt and throws it at Niversal. The sticky mixture inside splatters over Niversal's helm, chest, over your weapons, finally your legs. Still being in the stream you are not rooted in place, autosuccess. The arrows bounce off the armored hulk doing no damage.
ranged touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
3d20 ⇒ (17, 8, 14) = 39
The group taking double moves to get here see the fight of Niversal versus an ugly thing in leather armor and a great axe in one hand. Also two goblins 40 feet away shooting arrows. Jean and the goblins are likely still 200 feet behind the group. What do you do? Niversal is 30 feet away from the group, the 'orc' is 35 feet away and the goblins are 70 feet away. First person to post is in the front of the group, then the next person is likely 5 feet behind. Other factors remain to be seen like when Jon goes instead of others. I will address it once people post their actions just know you might be even further back. I will edit the map when I get a chance.
Or if that is too complicated you all double move and are on the bank of the stream 5 feet away from Niversal. With the other option if you have range attacks you could still attack.
A creature that is glued to the floor (or unable to fly) can break free by making a DC 17 Strength check or by dealing 15 points of damage to the goo with a slashing weapon. A creature trying to scrape goo off itself, or another creature assisting, does not need to make an attack roll; hitting the goo is automatic, after which the creature that hit makes a damage roll to see how much of the goo was scraped off. Once free, the creature can move (including flying) at half speed. If the entangled creature attempts to cast a spell, it must make concentration check with a DC of 15 + the spell’s level or be unable to cast the spell. The goo becomes brittle and fragile after 2d4 rounds, cracking apart and losing its effectiveness. An application of universal solvent to a stuck creature dissolves the alchemical goo immediately.

Daniel can't help but make a disgusted face at Zaidel's idea of a good time, though he tries to make sure the cleric doesn't see it.
When the group turns a corner and he sees an... orc? Figting a construct of some kind? He looks to the rest of the group.
"I'm guessing we're not on the orc's side here?" he asks. "Uh... Jon? You healed up enough to fight?"
Assuming the giant says yes, he twists one hand while tapping Jon with the other, calling on the knowledge of magic that was somehow crammed into his brain to speed him up.
Using Haste from the Time sphere, giving Jon +10 to move speed, +1 to attack and AC, and the ability to make an extra attack during a full attack

"With a little luck, yeah," Jon replied, eyes widening a little as the power of time flowed into him. Positive energy made him feel jumpy, twitchy like he had too much life in his bones. This felt more like shotgunning a dozen energy drinks at once and could feel his heart beating like a hummingbird's wings. Without the magic controlling it all, he could only imagine how fast something like this would tear a human body apart. Or a giant body.
Given the situation, Jon wasn't sure, even with the boost of speed, that he would be able to close the distance fast enough to help. He moved forward as far as he could, his usual limping gait comical at such a speed, but the giant lump of earth he grabbed and hurled at the combative orc was somewhat less so.

Jon is able to get within reach of the goblinoid. Swinging and missing even with the boost. Daniel and Zaidel were in front with Jon behind them.

Davin opts to hang back with the gobbie children, as Jean rushes ahead to blitz their foe with lightning. He notes the newcomer looks like somebody he knew from earth, but couldn't quite remember who.

I was herding the goblins until we hit the cave mouth and I see Niversal in need of aid. Round 10
The orc creature turns its back to the construct and runs into the forest. The goblins see this and flee into the woods as well.
Acrobatics: 3d20 ⇒ (9, 16, 9) = 34
They all scamper off without slipping on a rock or snagging a root. [Ooc]If you follow them you need to make an Acrobatics check DC 8 or have some troubles and lose 30 feet to difficult terrain.
The tanglefoot bag of sticky stuff simply entangles Niversal fully and it won't get dry to break free for about a minute or two.

Round 10
Locke catches up to Jean and the young goblins. He looks bloody again. He simply states, "I finished off the stragglers. Jean fly I will take care of them in your stead." He even puts the knife away.
| GM Wolf |
Niversal is entangled but not stuck in place, though the sticky stuff does make the construct move at half speed. The stream made sure of that. Jon gets an attack of opportunity on the creature as it flees. The fletcher's daughter loudly says, "My name is Angelica Delathor, please don't get hurt!" She stays behind Davin and Daniel.
What do you guys do?!

Davin sighs dramatically. "If those two are hellbent on dying, I'm not going to stop them." He says, in response to Zaidel and Jean rushing headlong after their *fleeing* enemies.
He turns to the young woman they rescued. "Well met Angelica, name's Davin. Pleasure to properly meet you. Your father will be thrilled to see you're alive and well." He says pleasantly to the fletcher's daughter.
Spotting Locke emerging from the cave, he intercepts his friend before he reaches the goblin children. "Should clean up first, so you don't spook the kids, and the girl." Davin says quietly, attempting to keep his voice low so he's not overheard. He'll offer to use Prestidigitation for cleanings.

Round 12 ish
He nods, and once the spell is done he says, "Thank you, so where did everyone go? Hey Universal, you want some help with that goop? It probably be best if you just drop into the stream."
"Oh wow! That was fast, then again we have finished quite a few quests and are about to kill a whole... well maybe I shouldn't finish that statement but you know what I mean he lightly punches Davin. Hey, do you think I should go help them? I can use my muzzle and scent out those who are hiding? You could too if you turned back into that dire wolf!" I am not sure who is still around.

On the plus side: level up.
| Daniel Newell. |
"Agreed!" Daniel shouts in response to Jon. He lets his spell lapse as he also turns back to the children and Angelica.
"Though admittedly, if anyone is fine on their own it's probably the dragon... do you know, uh..." he trails off as an important question occurs to him. "Can we bring up... a character sheet, or anything? A status?"
Distracted by the thought, it doesn't occur to him that 'Davin' is a name he's heard before.
Niversal

Niversal uses the river to clean the goo up off the construct and then pops it open and sets out his weapons and cleans those from top to bottom and says for those who missed me before I am Niversal. Thanks for the assist, I was tapped out at the end of that fight. The construct regenerates but I could use some healing.
