GM Hmm |

Hello Everyone! I'm GM Hmm, a quirky but fun GM.
Welcome to my Tier 7-8 table of Fate in the Future! I hope that you all will enjoy this weird little story where the Pathfinder storyline is intermixed with the Starfinder storyline that we will be pursuing during Outpost. Specials tend to be fast-paced so let's get to know one another.
1. Who are you bringing to the party? What do you do? I love to hear a little of character backstory, personality and mechanics.
1b. Any weird character stuff I should know about?
1c. What has been your character's favorite mission so far?
LOGISTICS
2. Are you alright with a fairly fast pace of 1-2 posts a day?
2b. Real life happens to us all. Do you have an up-to-date botting spoiler on your character sheet?
2c. Are you okay with being botted or potentially botting others?
3. What general time zone are you posting from? (US, Europe, Asia, Australia, etc.)

Bot Buddy 2000 |

Hello, I'm Bot Buddy with an important announcement. Since Pathfinder 2e has a lot of secret checks, I am going to ask all of you to fill out this document for secret rolls:
This will allow me to just make those secret rolls instead of asking you all the time what your modifiers are. Thanks in advance for filling it out!

1. Chulyin the Spirit Talker is a descendent of the Sarkorian diaspora who trained in the Magaambya in preparation for reclaiming Sarkoris from the World Wound (one AP and PF edition too late). He battles alongside his jaguar companion, who has been with him since his initiation into the Animal Order. When not faced with an imminent crisis, he continues his studies into the substructure of magic. Mechanically, he is an Animal Companion druid who has evolved to fill both Healing and Offensive magic roles, although the primal list is fairly versatile so he can adapt.
1b. He has the Magaambyan Attendant and Halcyon Speaker archetypes. That's about it. The jaguar has the fire cat template from Plaguestone.
1c. 2-20: Bastion in Embers. It was crazy complex and went way over in live play, but it super fun.
2. Yes
2b. I've been playing live games with Chulyin this summer, so I need to port over his profile, but his botting section will be up to date.
2c. Yes. I try to assign a botter, and I prefer to have permission to bot, but this is a special, and it has to keep moving, so do what needs to be done.
3. US

My, my have the turns tabled
1. I will be bringing Grum Skoljar. A true Orc Warrior from the Hold of Belzken. He joined the Society on a whim and has not looked back, the money has been too good. He has been lying low since freeing the King in Thorns and taking down the Thorned Monarch.
Mechanically he is a barbarian with fighter dedication. He moves in fast to hit stuff and stays there.
1b. Nothing too weird. He does have Battle Cry. Additionally, he does now have a Backfire Mantle which improves his odds of surviving friendly fire bombing.
1c. Probably Iolite Squad Alpha. The opportunity to work with a militaristic force instead of a mercenary band, no offense to the society, was a nice change.
LOGISTICS
2. I can make 1-2 per 24 hours.
2b. No, but I will work on some.
2c. Sure. Just move up in and swing. Fairley standard order of operations. Rage, Sudden Charge, and then depending on the situation, either Power Attack or Swipe.
3. US EST, but I work Night Shift, so the majority of the posts sync up with the other side of the world.

1. Sideon is old, even for an elf. He's been round the world, seen it all, and remembers...most of it. He decided to join the upstart Pathfinder Society to get access to their libraries, and in the time of his service learned that, despite living in the blink of an eye, his fellow agents had a lot to offer him, and the rest of the world.
(Thief rogue with bard dedication for Bardic Lore. Can also do the out-of-combat healing.)
1b. Nope. Normal rogue/bard stuff.
1c. Lightning Strikes, Stars Fall. He got to see some pretty unusual stuff!
LOGISTICS
2. Yup.
2b. I will. Need to update my character sheet.
2c. Yes
3. US Eastern

![]() |

Oh, yeah...
More 1b. Battle Medicine, Ward Medic, Continual Recovery, and Assurance Medicine (21)... so the Out of Combat Healing Special.
Clever Improviser ancestry feat adds level to Untrained skill checks.
Pearly White Spindle aeon stone for Regeneration 1 HP/1 minute (for yet more out of combat self-healing).

1) This is Professor Patrick Barnard, knowledgeable in Astronomy, Occultism and Arcana (Master in all three), and spends a lot of time studying the stars and planets. He helps provide the data to make up the ephemeris that the astrologers use. It is also said that he has looked into the Void too many times and the Void has looked back. He is a human male wizard.
For some reason he is distrustful of females and is reluctant to attend social situations. He keeps a tight rain on his emotions, preferring to employ logic in all things.
Favourite missions would have to be a tossup between Star Crossed Court, where he was able to study with the Iruxi astronomers and Mistress of the Maze, when he acquired a piece of Akiton.
He is also interested in the history of the Blakros museum and has studied the writings of it's original owner, Ralzeros the Overwatched.
Another quirk is his Hat of the Magi, usually looks like a red fez.
2) Yes
Botting: Not really although he is easy to bot. Patrick stays in the back and throws magic missiles a lot as he despises collateral damage, especially that caused by fireballs. His missiles are heighted as much as possible with additional metamagics thrown in for good measure. One of his items is a Wand of Manifold Missiles. Also, Mage Armour is prepared and cast every morning.
3) I'm posting from New Zealand, currently at UTC+13 but will be back to UTC+12 in March.

GM Hmm |

Patrick, do me a favor and create that botting spoiler -- one that contains your favorite spell attacks, saving throws and skills. Maybe you can even include those tactics you wrote up! It's been my experience during specials that every character will need to be botted at least once. Since you are in New Zealand, I might give you quick bot if you're the only one who can act and it's 3am your time, knowing that by the time you wake up you'll be able to go again.
Even if I don't wind up using it, you'll wind up using it because being able to copy-paste spell attacks saves a lot of time!

"Hi, I'm Pip and I have a fairly extensive 'Bot Me' spoiler if you want to see what one looks like!"

GM Hmm |

By the way, welcome everyone! It looks like we have a full table.
2 Wizards
1 Sorcerer
1 Sarkorian Druid with Flaming Jaguar
1 Elf Rogue with Bard Dedication (do you have the feat for Inspire Courage?)
1 Orc Barbarian from Belkzen
It looks like we'll have a decent balance of combat, spells, healing and skills. Since this is largely a table of other GMs, it looks like some of you will have to level your characters but we should have plenty of time before the special starts to do that.

![]() |

I don't have the Inspire Courage feat. More of a textbook type character.
Profile is up to date now, and I expanded my botting section a bit.

1. This is Greezgux. The last of his tribe of the Birdeaters, He is covered head to toe in all sizes of bird skulls and his stomach constantly rumbles in a never ending hunger from the demon in his belly. Recently it has been further enhanced as Greezgux ate the finder of a Demon Lord [Redacted].
1b. Greezgux has a Mosquito Witch Doll Familiar that follows him around. It constantly steals his Decanter of Endless Water and Necklace of Fireballs.
1c. Breaking the Storm has been his favorite mission so far as it fit quite thematically with Greezgux.

GM Hmm |

Hello everyone --
I am going to ask if there are 1 or 2 players who might be willing to switch to GM Bret's table so that it can make. Bret is a great GM, and it looks like he has a couple of quality players. I would hate for their table to be stranded.
This is totally voluntary... no one has to switch, since I know you all picked me as a GM. I'm just hoping you'll consider it!
Hmm

![]() |

I'll switch over to help out in a couple days if the table still isn't legal. Start is 1/10?

GM Hmm |

Start is 1/10. Let's see what happens in the next few days!

![]() |

Happy New Year, Everyone!

GM Hmm |

We don't need to move anyone, as Bret has a table of four now! I've opened the table up to pre-game roleplay!

1a. This is Imiriax, a young wizard from Oppara in Taldor who studied at the Kitharodian Academy, a bardic college. He is wide-eyed, honest and forthright, guided by his somewhat more circumspect familiar, a raven named Anton. Imiriax wants to acquire knowledge and can be reckless in its pursuit, but is generally a decent and thoughtful fellow.
1b. Imiriax has the bard archetype.
1c. I enjoyed the multi-part The Perennial Crown.
2a. I'm good with a fast pace. I'll do my best.
2b. Bot me at your pleasure.
2c. Full botting instructions included.
3. I'm in Virginia (Eastern U.S.)

![]() |

Ohhhhh boy. Hmm, I apologize. I just realized that Imiriax has already played this. I need to bow out. I'm going to go delete my comments in Gameplay while I still can. If you get the chance, can you go into the Campaign tab and deselect me as a player.
Again, I'm sorry for the mistake.

GM Hmm |

Alright will do!
Hmm

Does anyone routinely memorize Haste? If not, I will.
I also have access to quite a bit of blasting, but we have a wizard and a sorcerer, so let me know if we need healing with a side of damage or a side of utility.

GM Hmm |

I just put two on each person's spot on the slide reference!

![]() |

+2 campaign coins. HMM can hand hers out as well correct. I think we are golden.
Famous last words...I know

GM Hmm |

Yes, consider my campaign coin available to all of you whenever you need the hero point.

![]() |

I have a Glyph to give away, if everyone doesn't already have two Hero Points.

GM Hmm |

If only I could keep giving you Hero Points based on your combine glyphs.... Everyone has two!

GM Hmm |

We start at about 7pm Central today -- that is midnight GMT. I will start out with the mustering missions and give everyone a crack at them!

BOT ME is at the top of the profile, but I just realized I left out the cantrips.
Since life has been a bit, umm, unpredictable lately, here's a few notes on Chulyin in case anyone ends up having to bot him or just to push the action forward, in no particular order:
* He can heal 2d8+10 hp to 2 people per 10 minutes (Ward Medic, Continual Recovery) without a roll (Assurance 21) and simultaneously heal 10 hp to himself (pearly white spindle).
* He can Battle Medicine for 2d8+10 hp with no roll (Assurance 21).
* He has a Staff of Healing (4 charges) and a Wand of Heal (1st) for quick touch-up healing or emergency stabilization of multiple allies.
* His Mature Animal Companion has 1 action per round even if he doesn't command him.
* He has spontaneous casting of 2 arcane cantrips (shield, mage hand) and 1 slot for Magic Missile (1st) or True Strike. I use True Strike when I cast higher level Spell Attacks that need to hit (e.g., searing light).
* Anyone adjacent to Chulyin has Resist Evil 3, if that should ever come into play. He's got a bunch of Resist this-or-that 1, listed in his header.

GM Hmm |

I will try to remember all that, Chulyin. If you can also post this as tactics in your botting spoiler, that would be awesome!

To everyone else... We have started! I know that most of you are GMs, so I know you'll be most likely taking care of your own tables before responding to mine.
In case you are curious, the missing Pathfinders in the Escort mission are my own characters. I would not feel right making fun of anyone else's!

![]() |

I'm just trying to figure out the logistics of Pip being in combat all the way in Iobaria and here mustering troops at the same time. ;P

![]() |

I think most of the really important thing are already in the BOT ME.
The biggest thing is that if we're needing to heal between events and I'm not promptly available, someone can refer to my BOT ME and move the healing along.
Also... my rolls were a whole lot of "almost but not quite."

Occultism Feat: Quantum Multitasking

![]() |

And I like to break up my posts a bit as a GM, so having one of my characters show up as part of HQ always makes sense to me! Besides, if you check out the characters list of this campaign, you will see that Pip has never posted here at all....
All those posts were just a figment of your imagination!

GM Hmm |

To help you guys remember your preparation rewards I have been putting them in a spoiler at the top of this campaign. I would like you each to figure out now which pathfinder training and magical investigation items your character wants, and note that you have it in your temporary equipment. I need to go back to work for a bit. I will resolve the other missions when I come back.

![]() |

For School Item: Scroll of Fly
For Magical Investigation: Scroll of Restoration (4th)

GM Hmm |

Oh and you'll want to pick out your Supplies item too! I forgot that you got a significant choice there as well!

![]() |

Supplies: moderate antidote
EDIT: Reassurance requires skills that have my absolute modifiers, so I won't bother with a hero point on them.
