The claustrophobic nature of the pagoda becomes more apparent as the group goes up the stairs. The next floor is no more than 60' by 60' but appears to have 100 inhabitants. The one above is only 55' by 55' but still has dozens of inhabitants.
We're up to slide 4 (which is the 6th floor.) Arrange yourselves as you like around the room.
A statue occupies each arm of a great chamber shaped like a four-pointed star. In the center passes a pillar encircled by a spiral stair. The statue of an angry Tian woman stands to the north, her arms extended as though weaving a spell. To the east, a jackal-headed humanoid with a scarred belly raises her arms, one holding a sacrificial knife. In the south, an elderly ratfolk woman looks on sternly. The western alcove contains a butterfly-winged elven woman bearing a gracious expression.
Beyond each statue a round barred window can be glimpsed.

Perhaps in hopes of redeeming herself after her previous miss, perhaps just because she's tired of dealing with these creatures, Shonne redoubles (retriples?) her efforts.
The creature is already falling from the second arrow as the third flies and Silver's very effective slash is just unnecessary damage.
The chamber is quiet after the last beast falls.

Shonne then tosses the unopened door open. The contents prove quite similar to the ones that were opened to release the creatures.
Each of these cells shows signs of recent occupation. A clean pile of straw lies in a corner, a trough for water and a stone slab for food in another.

Diazepane is fairly sure that the pens were used only to house the destrachans, though there are also a number of rats in each.
Given how easily they slip in and out of the chambers, it seems likely they're not so much prisons for the rodents as extensions of their kingdom.

Each of the previously hidden chambers is essentially identical. Door that only opens from the outside, straw scattered on the floor, a trough for food and one for water.
