Hi there. Let me fill out the form.

All done but Yako I think I messed up your out of combat action and the field for Initiative does not let me edit it.

The elven priestess enters into the room. Her hair is red as fire and her eyes are green as the spring grass. She is dressed in leather which is black and yellow in the stylized fashion of a wasp. On one hip she carries an elven curved blade, the other a rolled up scorpion whip. Around her neck is the symbol of Calistria and on her shoulders a white cloak, a gift from a former paramour.

I was able to fix my exploration activity. But looks like Atae is showing an initiative of over 4000, which I suspect is an error. XD Truly, looking into it, it looks like it is taking her Perception of "9/11" and converting it to a date. Which has the initiative calculator confused as heck.

I kinda like that modifier :)

Hello and welcome. 2e is a great system, and don't worry. Any mistakes are just chances to learn. :) I can't speak for the others, but I will be happy to help you learn the system better as we go along :)

Speaking of helping. I have two sigils to hand out from GMing. As such, going to give one to Frustration of an Aeon (it means you start with 2 hero points, not just one,) as well as one to Aurika as the other level 1 character.

Got it all fixed. Correct it does not like / in the equation as it is built to auto add in the Scouting bonus if chosen by one of the players. I will work on adding in a couple more lines for the summoner class as well.

What are GM glyphs?

GM Glyphs (sometimes called sigils by old farts like me, as that was their original name when first discussing getting them set-up in 2e) are awarded to GMs who have run enough 2e Society games. (There are also Stars for 1e, and Novas for Starfinder.. .Each are earned individually from each-other. They only visibly show up on the core profile though, not the other Aliases. And sometimes even then they don't show up... Like my Glyphs don't appear, but my Star and Novas do. Kind of like your own 3 stars. No idea how many Glyphs you may have) It shows the level of dedication the individual has done to hosting games for others. As well as, ostensibly, demonstrating a level of system mastery from having run soo many games, and the knowledge of the rules that comes from it. Each resource caps at 5 for their respective system.

Each tier requires notably more number of games run than the previous tier. But the final 5th glyph/star/nova requires additional work, number of Specials run, and recognition by other VO's in order to get approved. As it is a special level of recognition.

In the case of 2e games, players can give bonus hero points to other players equal to their number of Glyphs.

How do you know how many you have?

I don't mean to be confrontational, so I apologize in advance. But I also don't know how to bridge this otherwise.

My ask here would be for the game to be consent-based. Meaning that any acts of an even remotely sexual nature would be understood and accepted by both players beforehand.

What Atae did wasn't directed at Aurika, so why not let Yako's response stand for itself? Can they two not decide for themselves?

I admit that I probably shouldn't have drawn attention to my objection as an in character post. My reaction was based off posts between the two PCs before mine, and one suggests that consent was not present. I, as a player, do not enjoy watching that happen in my games.

I think we can let this go. (Because I, as a player, am not offended and it's fine. No harm no foul to me. :) But I also appreciate Aurika stepping forward like that. because, they are right. No consent was given prior.) That said, I do agree with Aurika, that in general, we try to keep interactions like that to have first had some conversation in, say, here, first, to confirm everyone involved is fine with it.

As such. going forward. I consent to such happening in character, from anyone. Just expect the character I play to respond very in character. in this case. absolutely shocked and flabbergasted, and legitimately appreciative for anyone who steps up like Aurika did.

That said, if Aurika is not comfortable with such interactions happening at all in the game. Then I fully understand and humbly request we all respect that feeling, and end such here.

If Aurika is not comfortable specifically with the sign of discomfort given. I will also refrain from that facet. (Otherwise, similar reactions would've been gotten from a simple handshake or friendly pat on the back... Essentially pulling several Asian taboos into this. As Tian Xia shows a heavy Asian influence. Where people bow, rather than shake hands for example, cus of the taboo on touching.)

How do you know how many you have?

If you go to "My Organized Play" in the drop down menu at the top right of every page. It'll take you to your main Organized Play page. With a section at the top if it "you are a (insert symbol type here) gm" for each type you have (glyphs, stars, novas) and you just count how many of the green Glyph of the open road symbols you have in that line. (If any).

She too is responding in character. She is not a good character, she is much more like Calistria in terms of AL, she is CN and orginally channeled only negative energy but she has the dual font feat.

I'm fine with forging ahead. For simplicity though, it's probably ideal to avoid this going forward. I think I've leaned into the roleplay aspect of the situation enough for my tastes.

If that * is an actual symbol that looks sorta like this without the background circles. Then that means you have one Glyph to hand out.

Thanks all for talking through everything reasonably. :). While consent between the two players interacting is fine if anyone at the table feels uncomfortable by anything or any interactions please speak up or send me a PM and we can certainly tone that aspect back a bit or remove it entirely for this game.

So, just to clarify, I should choose a "School" and I would get starting items for each scenario, e.g. Swords would let me have a free healing potion and potency crystal at the start of each scenario?

Correct you choose one of the schools at character creation. This school follows you entire time and does not change scenario to scenario. Here is a list of the schools

To answer your question form game-play tab. yes, hero points allow you to spend 1 for the ability to re-roll a d20 roll (but you cannot spend another to re-roll the re-roll) and you take the new result, even if it is worse.

Also, when down and dying, but not dead, you can spend all your possessed hero points at that time, to automatically stabilize, and not gain the Wounded condition. (You don;t get rid of the condition if you already had it though.) Here's a place to read the full details.
