SoT (Year 4, Sem. 1): Maps & Slides, Handouts, Macros

Please fill out Slide 4 on the handouts with your PC's token art and pronouns, and the macros. If you want different art than what is on the Paizo boards that is fine by me.

We'll aim to officially start Wednesday, but please feel free to explore this scene in-characer if you like! The feelings of going away for school or the first time, being in a city like Nantambu for the first time, or getting interviewed for admission may all be interesting character moments.

I can't believe I passed the flat check on my first try. During an admissions test, at that! Hopefully, I don't need to explode very often today, though.

EDIT: Posting this here for reference since it changed from the playtest (and GMs shouldn't need to memorize every new mechanic).

Unstable Trait wrote:
Unstable actions use experimental applications of your innovation that even you can't fully predict, and that are hazardous to your innovation (and potentially you). When you take an unstable action, attempt a DC 17 flat check immediately after applying its effects. On a failure, the innovation malfunctions in a spectacular (though harmless) fashion, such as a belch of smoke or shower of sparks, and it becomes incapable of being used for further unstable actions. On a critical failure, you also take an amount of fire damage equal to your level. As the innovation's creator, you can spend 10 minutes retuning your innovation and making adjustments to return it to functionality, at which point you can use unstable actions with that innovation again.

You may want to consider how you're tracking gold and loot. I'm not sure if everyone wants to do it on their own, use a spreadsheet, etc. I leave that up to you.

I don't think it's any secret that we will be finishing Part 1 of the AP after this combat. I want to give you a chance to fill out your info a bit early, to allow you to plan. You will get 12 XP as well as access to several Uncommon masks of the Magaambya.

For PFS credit, please fill out your information here: on RPG Chronicles.

You MUST include your current XP if you have a partial level's worth. The app will then will calculate your bundles based on that weighted amount (for example my -2004 had 8 XP. They got 58 GP total [3 sets: 14+22+22]). You can calculate your own earn income.

Just because I think this is fun, and I want to give credit to the AP author respecting and sharing their source of inspiration! I know the Mpeshi fight was difficult for you, but I think it is such a cool creature. This is from a sidebar in the ap:

Lightning Legends

The mpeshi is based on the akampeshimpeshi, described by the real-world Lamba people of Zambia as a beast accompanying the lightning before becoming trapped on the land. The webs that the akampeshimpeshis ride down to earth are broken by their impact. Akampeshimpeshis are dangerous creatures; when sighted, they are hunted and burned by warriors with protective magics laid on them for this purpose.
