In that case, I'll go for Zindarel

Pregen data can be found here.
I'll get the map and slides ready.

Doc Featherton |

Thanks for the pregen data, Tiger! A few errors that folks have mentioned on other forums:
[u]Doc[/u]
o Stealth should be +9 (trained w/ 18 dex), not +6
o Bayonet should be +9 (finesse), not +5
[u]ZakZak[/u]
o There's a non-existent 2e feat called Improved Initiative listed. Some assume it's meant to be Incredible Initiative, but that makes no sense since the Ten Paces ability already grants +2 init. Since the listed feat doesn't exist, maybe ZakZak's player chooses a valid General Feat?
[u]Equipment[/u]
o Doc is trained in Thievery, but has no Thieves Tools. Doc has 13.5gp. Would you allow her to purchase Thieves Tools for 3gp with her allotted gp? If not, ZakZak has Thieves Tools, but is untrained in Thievery. So maybe ZakZak would allow Doc to borrow them if necessary?
o ZakZak's Ten Paces allows him to quickdraw a 1-handed firearm, but he has none. Seems like an unintended omission. ZakZak has 13.9gp. Maybe you'd allow him to purchase a Dueling Pistol for 12gp (or something similar)?
There may be other errors/omissions in the other pregens, but these are the ones I've heard about.

Booker has training in crafting via his munitions crafter feat, but it is not listed in his skills. I manually added it. It also doesn't list the formulae he knows - which is more of a problem.

Does anyone know how I can create an alias for a pregen without creating a new character? I suppose if the worst come to the worst, I could recycle a profile belonging to a dead PC - although changing the name could be an issue but they haven't been used on these forums.

ZakZak the confused |

You can go to Account Settings and Create New Alias. The button is at the bottom of your Messageboard Alias tab.

Doc Featherton |

Yes, what ZakZak said. It's definitely not intuitive. Whenever I try to do that for these OneShot pregens, it always takes forever to find. :)
And you all know about the Browser extension called Paizo Campaign Tools? Once the free extension is installed in your browser, Paizo will remember the active character for that particular campaign. You never need to worry about editing the Post As pulldown when making posts to the boards. Really handy when playing more than 1 Paizo pbp game at a time.

ZakZak the confused |

ZakZak is confused because he learned the Way of the Pistelero and then crafted a 2 handed gun.

![]() |

There is a link in the Cottonseed Thread that has the pregens in BB Code. You can update the equipment there.
The Macros / Slides are posted, please enter your Exploration Activities.
Regarding correcting the errors (missing equipment, etc) -- go ahead. Zakzak can get a general feat if needed.

ZakZak the confused |

Not sure about needed but it couldn't hurt.
Since ZakZak is so facinated with Goblin history how about Ancestral Paragon for Goblin Lore.
He already has the Stealth skill so maybe add Society (Int) since the city seems to be of interest for him.
Not much we can do about the gun short of switching it for a +1 Big Boom Gun.
But the only effect it has on him is preventing the free draw from Ten Paces.

Doc Featherton |

One of the Paizo developers just posted that an updated ZakZak is in the queue to be pushed out to the website (whatever that means). But he summarized the changes saying that ZakZak now has a goblin Spoon Gun instead of the Flingflenser, and has Toughness (for 3 extra hp), instead of Improved Initiative.
Here's the link for that post (scroll to the bottom for the developer info): Head Shot the Rot

re: Paizo Campaign Tools -- is this for Chrome or Firefox?
I found it. That's amazing!

Doc Featherton |

re: Paizo Campaign Tools -- is this for Chrome or Firefox?
I use it on Chrome. Not sure about about Firefox, Edge, or other browsers.
Yeah, it's really nice. After your first post in any forum, it defaults to that alias for all your posts (Gameplay tab, Discussion tab, etc.)

![]() |

It's available for Firefox as well. Wish I found out about it sooner...

Doc Featherton |

Guys and gals -- At the top of the turn, our GM said that those in Bold may take their turns. If you're in bold, please just post. If you prefer to delay for someone else, that's fine. Just make your normal post and include an OOC comment that you're delaying for so-and-so.
Otherwise, these melee encounters are gonna take forever.
P.S. Zindarel for these Paizo PbP games, it seems most folks use ooc and /ooc tags for OOC comments as opposed to double-parens. No big deal, of course. Just in case you didn't know about that tag. :)

I'll process all this in the morning. It's a long weekend here so I'm still in weekend mode... :)

Doc Featherton -- Solution is the shotgun. Problem is the dueling pistol w/ bayonet. You have the names reversed in the Gameplay thread.
I'm playing Doc Featherton so yes, I know that the feats are a bit confusing -- fun though :)

ZakZak the confused |

I'm not entirely clear when I'm supposed to roll misfire on my gun. Presumably only if I critically miss.

Ahhh, right you are! Thanks for that. I'll fix that going forward. And yes, it's kinda fun trying to maximize the action economy. It felt like I squeezed about 6-7 actions in that first round.

Not on a crit fail. My understanding of the text is when you miss, there's a chance that your weapon will misfire.

![]() |

On critical hits, it is assumed that you hit the zombie's head, so it's an instakill.

![]() |

Doc -- yes. I'll fix it when I process your turn. I forgot they tied for initiative...

Doc Featherton |

You're right about normal firearms, Booker. No worries about misfires if you clean it 1/day.
But some firearms (like ZakZak's Spoon Gun) have the cobbled trait.
"This firearm is cobbled together and likely to misfire. No matter how well you upkeep it, on a failed attack roll, the attack misses and you must roll a DC 5 flat check. If you fail this check, the weapon misfires."

![]() |

the crit-headshot is an option for this scenario. somehow it's more satisfying to have zombie heads blown apart :)

Doc Featherton |

While we're waiting for Reflex rolls, can Martelle give us any answers to the following questions: (Doc asked in-game, but it's back a few posts.)
How long has the zombie infestation been going on?
Was there an event that started it?
Are they out at the same time every day, or is it a constant roaming-the-streets thing?
Just trying to gather a little background, while we're waiting for rolls.

![]() |

From what you can tell, it started only after the play started. You can see zombies shambling out of the theater door from the 2nd floor window of the tavern.

ZakZak the confused |

+1 Piercing Wind might be enough of an upgrade for ZakZak to borrow it.
It uses real ammo instead of silverware, holds 10? shots instead of 1, Has range 40 instead of 30. And of course it isn't Cobbled so no rolling malfunction on every miss.
Only downside is it does piercing damage instead of slashing so 1 less damage.
Oh and no scatter damage which could go either way.

ZakZak the confused |

The spoongun is also +1 so that's a wash. But I don't think Piercing Wind is really an upgrade for anyone else.

Doc Featherton |

It's amusing that the scenario is offering a Religion check to recall knowledge here, yet none of the characters are trained in it. Thinking the author missed out on an opportunity. :)
On the combat map, White (inside) and Orange (outside) should be removed, yes? Just wanna make sure Booker knows who's left if he's looking at the map and not the combat tracker.
