So I was sick last week, have been working overtime with the holdiays, and am also working on moving. Sorry that it delayed my posting.

Going to add to the absence of posting by being gone a few days. Between moving and visiting relatives I cannot guarantee my ability to update over the next handful of days.

Hi all. I want to apologize for my extended absence. First things first, I fully intend to keep up with the campaign if you’ll still have me. Second, I’ll offer an explanation. (Posting this to all of my currently active campaigns).
I wish I could say that there was one big thing, but instead it was a lot of small to medium things. Physical and mental health problems, almost 20% of my waking hours spent traveling in the last month and a half, some work-related woes, the stress of the holidays, internet outages, writer’s block, etc. In the few times that I had sufficient time and energy to even look at the Paizo boards, I found myself overwhelmed by the high number of new posts and was experiencing terrific guilt and anxiety about having missed so much. I have been composing this message for a couple of days now, trying to provide a semblance of apology.
And now I am trying to catch up in earnest.
Thank you for your patience with me, especially those who reached out here or on Discord. I tried my best to respond as I was able, but I know I missed some of you.

I'm entering a busy period at work that may keep me tied up until February 12 (Super Bowl Sunday). I'll still try to check in and post, but I can't guarantee I'll make a consistent appearance. Please feel free to bot me.

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of posts, we had a tornado come within 2-4 miles of our house Friday afternoon, and our internet and power has been out for a bit. Everyone is fine, and there was no damage or injury to me or my family, thankfully.
I’m out connected to wifi to make this post, but it may be a bit until I can continue properly.
I’ll keep you updated!

Welcome back, and very glad to hear you escaped a trip to Oz. I hear they only do a 15 point buy there, and kobolds aren't allowed! Just the worst.

Apologies, just been enjoying the RP a bit! Love the party dynamics. Now, onto the adventure!
No choice neccessary, working on getting the map set up now. Is everyone in the Roll20 game for this? I thought we mentioned it earlier, but just want to make sure.
Here is the join link!

            A bit of OoC planning.
There are two sleeping people in this room. Raban would oppose trying to coup de grace them in their sleep, but he also doesn't want to leave two potential combatants to sneak up behind them or join in a fight.
Thankfully, being asleep imposes a penalty -10 to perception. For Stealth, we've got:
Elise: +2
Raban: -1
Angahaar: -2
Ana: -3
So it's possible that we could sneak up to them and do something.
Since they're asleep, they are helpless, so Dex of 0 and our melee attacks (such as grapple or pin) get an additional +4 because they're prone. So that's going to be an almost-automatic grapple for most of us. We can gag them and tie them up with rope. Especially if we're working in pairs, it wouldn't be too difficult.
If y'all are okay with that plan, then it's just up to the GM for how we roll with it. Would you want us to roll Stealth checks first to see if we can get to them without waking them up?

I don't want to jinx is for the others, but NATURAL 20!

            Woohoo!
Do you want us to make CMB checks to tie them up, or initiate it?
If you have your target pinned, otherwise restrained, or unconscious, you can use rope to tie him up. This works like a pin effect, but the DC to escape the bonds is equal to 20 + your Combat Maneuver Bonus (instead of your CMD). The ropes do not need to make a check every round to maintain the pin. If you are grappling the target, you can attempt to tie him up in ropes, but doing so requires a combat maneuver check at a –10 penalty. If the DC to escape from these bindings is higher than 20 + the target’s CMB, the target cannot escape from the bonds, even with a natural 20 on the check.
They are unconscious, so we could presumably get started before they wake up. Angahaar and Raban will both be able to set the DC at 23. Anastasia could of course set it at DC 24, but only if she wants to try to do the whole Stealth component.

Semi-relevant story time. A few summers ago at my old apartment we began experimenting with letting our cats roam around the open field we shared with our neighbors. Every cat I have ever had has loved bird watching, whether analog or digital. I had heard a news story that wild-roaming house cats were a major cause of declining local bird populations but didn't put much stock in it. I figured that as long as I kept a good eye on my cats, they weren't in good enough shape to manage to snag a bird.
Until one night.
I was hanging out on my back porch late one night with my cat Odin prowling around. Out of seemingly nowhere, he leaps from a dead quiet several feet into the air and half-catches a bird. There was a shrieking of chirps and a maddening flutter of wings as I watched the two wrestle briefly before the bird flew off into the night.
From that day on, whenever I saw Odin watching birds from the safety of an indoor window, I knew he had bloodlust in his eyes: no longer a dream, but a memory. (In hindsight, his name should have been Loki, that tricky bastard.)

Hey gang, sorry about that. Thought I had made the post to each of my games, but apparently missed this one.
Had the dental surgery today, everything went well and even through the pain and aches I feel much better than my previous state. Gonna take a few days off to rest and recover, and then I’ll have my games back up shortly thereafter!
Thank you all for your patience.

Hi folks, my theory that things would be better in a week was too optimistic. I suspect work is going to keep me from posting for the next couple of months, with late September being the time where I can jump back in. I have a September 21 deadline I'm facing, and there may be spillover / I'll need to recover. I'm really sorry for the trouble.
I will roll with whatever solution makes sense to you. Happy to have my character botted or have my character or just step away from the action temporarily. If you prefer to move on entirely, I'm okay with that too; I don't want to sap the momentum of any of my games.

Still here and alive folks, just had a long and hectic drive. My van’s tires decided they did not want to exist anymore, so I had two tires disintegrate on the highway in as many days. Been slowly recovering from the stress and exhaustion of it all and easing back into PbP and my normal routine.
