This is the discussion thread for #2-24 Breaking the Storm: Parting Clouds (Tier 7-10) as part of Gameday X, set to begin on September 6th, 2021!

You can click on my profile to get a little more about me, as well as the expectations I have for all of us as a part of this PBP. I am still newer to PBP, but I am excited for this adventure!

I am joining with my Paladin of Erastil - Thereus. Glad to be here.

He is a longbow archer build but has the feats to get in close to protect those in need.


I may pull out since we're up to 5 now, so this will bring you down to 4. This way Yuvana doesn't have to pretend the last time she did this adventure it was all a fever dream. I wish the Pathfinders luck!

Hey all - sorry for my delay. I've had some health concerns this week that I was dealing with, but I am getting everything up tonight. Please do me a favor and fill out any information I am missing on here (Including any hero points you have), and I will be getting the opening up shortly.


I really hope that things are going a bit better now!

As for filling out information, I do have two glyphs to distribute, so Thereus and Ukh should each give themselves a second Hero Point.

3 glyphs present here, so no matter what everyone's starting with "two, no less than two." (very old joke depending on what folks have read, heh).

I'm not getting any credit for this one, but I'm all-in to help the team succeed! I've played and GM'd, so I'll stay out of suggesting any courses of action and strategic decisions, but I'll play it straight in tactical situations for certain!

Just fyi, our GM is dealing with a bunch of RL problems at the moment, not to mention that both she and I totally forgot the timing issues with Gameday X and Gen Con 2021 (where we're both GMing and helping run the online HQ). I'm sure she'll be checking in, but I told my PbP table that I'm GMing to expect a slow-down until Monday, for what it's worth.

Hey all. So, after consulting with the GM and PbP VC Tyrannius, I have offered to pick up this game to GM it. Obviously, we'd be getting a super late start on everything, but I will do whatever I can to get the game going.

If you would rather we cancel instead, I will totally understand that, as well. Let me know your thoughts and we'll go from there - instead of me playing character #4 for no credit, I'll get someone else for that spot if you do want to press onward.

Alrighty. Let's do this thing! I'll figure out a stand-in player for seat #4 ASAP, but I don't want us to delay any longer.

That said, because this is a bit unexpected, I have a REALLY weird idea I want to try. I've GM'd this scenario 3 times already, all of them on Roll20. I THINK I have in mind a way we can use Roll20 for maps and scenery while keeping all rolls here. If you're okay with that, I feel I should be able to run this a lot faster. If it doesn't work, I'll get a google slides created for us.

My character is a level 7 Laughing Shadow Magus with Monk dedication for reference. I joined the Roll20 campaign, but I'll admit I've never used Roll20 for PbP though I have used it for live campaigns. I'm sure I'll become accustomed to it quickly.

Hello and welcome! Thank you for joining up! My plan is to basically just use Roll20 for the maps (and background music) that I have for when I've GM'd this scenario in live games. If it doesn't work out so well, I'll swap back to a google slides or some such.

Your addition gives us:
7, 7, 9, 10 = 2+2+4+6 = 14 Challenge points. Now that I have that, we're all good to go!

Something I believe I forgot to mention - I play in games on Thursdays but can still post later those evenings, but I run stuff for my local lodge either Saturday-or-Sunday but always Mondays, so most weeks Saturday night through Monday night it's tough for me to make GM posts, but I always try to catch up before heading to bed. Just curious, is it possible to learn Cyclops in society? It's not on the list of languages. Am I just missing an expanded list of legal languages for society play?

It is. There is a boon for it on a chronicle sheet in season 2, in fact. Archives of Nethys is really good, don't get me wrong, but they're far from perfect at listing everything that's out there/available. AoN is run by very hard-working volunteers, but even they miss stuff from time to time.

Chronicle boon, I totally understand. I was more curious if there was an ever-growing list of always available languages as part of Society Play that I was not aware of.
