You have each rolled the one requested Fortitude save. There have been no secret Fortitude saves.
That saving throw was about 20 minutes ago in game time.

Sorry I have been quiet the past several days. work has been nuts. I have been checking the posts, I just don't know that I have had anything to add. I'll try to come up with something constructive to add to the action in the next day or so, and verify that all my gear is correct.
I spend so much time organizing it seems like I never get to sit down and spend my credits. I won't be buying anything new since we are so far into the scenario, but I will double check that what is listed in the profile hasn't changed since the last time I played Kiff.
Thank you for clearing up what is going on with the weird radiation at least as clear as we would know IC.
| GM Bret |
Thanks. it can be a little tricky balancing information. I try to make sure that players are aware of what their characters would know. Radiation makes it tricky because most characters have no way to detect it except after it has affected them. It gets even more difficult when they make it something that doesn’t follow the normal rules.
Since radiation is (thankfully) uncommon in scenarios it is also the case where players may not be aware of the rules governing it.
If any of you still have questions, please do ask here.

No worries. It's good when there is something unusual in a scenario.

Does your group wish to establish a door procedure so that I got any checks for checking for traps, disabling them, and unlocking doors.
Doors can really slow down PbP if we wait for multiple people to check if a door is locked, trapped, etc. It would speed it up a lot if I just bot any checks.
I would need to know who is checking, who is disabling traps if needed, who is unlocking if needed. Since for traps it will be two different skills depending on the type of trap, you might want two different people disabling them depending on if it is technological or magical. For doors you might want two different people depending if you unlock or smash the door in.
Let me know what you want.
Oddman
|
Oddman can be in charge of checking for traps, since he has a huge Perception, and taking care of magical traps with his equally high Mysticism.
(He also has spells to deal with conditions, afflictions and damage that he may suffer)
He can't do anything about technological stuff though.
------------
Oddman will check the doors and entrances, but prefers not to be the first one in new rooms - anyone else volunteers?
Kiff Kiffington
|
Despite being the low level on the tier, Kiff will likely gladly enter first once an ally gives the all clear on the doors.
| GM Bret |
Looks like I forgot to describe the visor you found in the bathtub.
The strange visor is an X-ray visor with buttons on the side that allow it to function as a motion detector.
Sprocket Tension
|
Since Oddman is going to be taking care of the traps and such the visor makes the most sense for him in my opinion. When it comes to unlocking doors with computers or engineering I would do it. I also will be able to do this at a range of 30ft because of my Remote Hack ability. Sprocket does not like to be next to things if he doesn't need to in fear of traps.
Shokil
|
Shokil is happy to be ready near the door, or do the actual opening once others have declared it free of traps.

I think Azara is probably the meatiest on the team so he'll go first through doors. At least until I run out of some RPs. ;-)
So I think the door opening scenario goes like this:
1.) Oddman checks for Traps.
2.) Oddman disarms any mystic traps, Sprocket disarms any physical ones.
3.) Sprocket opens the door if it's locked.
4.) Azara enters the room with Shokil nearby for support.
5.) Kiff follows.
6.) Plan goes completely awry because something we haven't thought of happens.
| GM Bret |
Alright, how does this look for before you enter a room?
Oddman, search: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31 darkvision
Oddman, Mystical trap disabling: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
Sprocket, Technological trap disabling: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (16) + 20 = 36
Sprocket, unlock: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (6) + 20 = 26
The marching order above doesn’t match Slide 2.
It is apparent by now that this facility is laid out for Large creatures, so expect most of the time you will be in the 10’ wide marching order.

Looks good - after he does his tasks, Oddman will be right behind the meat walls.

Do spell amps let you understand something you just heard? I can pop my Comprehend Language amp, but I don't know if that will work.
I believe the spell is basically a real time translator. You would not suddenly know what was said before you used the spell.
I believe there is still a way to make it work.
| GM Bret |
Shokil, it looks like you updated the equipment on the Mythweaver’s sheet.
Could you please add your DR from your subdermal plating after the AC on the header? I would also appreciate it if you could fit a link to your Mythweaver’s sheet in the header since that would allow me to call it up without having to go to your profile first.
Thanks!

Here is my suggestion for how to deal with the current situation:
Oddman can cast spiderclimb on someone else. My suggestion is Sprocket's drone as it will probably be the hardest to get down some other way.
Shokil can use his force soles to get down.
Azara can use gravity boost to get down (he can double move 80' down the side.)
We have 80' of line (Azara's 50' plus another 30' from Dytabail, I believe.) The remaining people can use this to climb down or be lowered down if they don't mind going first.
If we really want to coordinate, we can probably time it so everyone gets to the bottom either at the same time or within a round of two or each other.

Sounds good enough to me.

Kiff only flies ships, he does not know how to fix them.
Next level you will know something about fixing ships, just not other stuff.

Yeah I really havn't gotten to diversify his skills like I do with most of my character.

Yeah I really havn't gotten to diversify his skills like I do with most of my character.
Solarians don't get a lot and Starfinder is a game that doesn't particularly reward people for diversifying.
At least not as much as it does for specializing.

Yeah but I find a little diversifying can make the difference between no one being able to make the check and someone having the chance to try. Or like if everyone is only set up to do captain in starship combats. Or no one can pilot.
Kiff Kiffington

Meh. Pretty sure I'm screwed especially since we want to help them even if they don't want to be helped. Kiff would agree to trying to save/neutralize them with the vaccine. I've been pretty useless this scenario anyway. If kiff lives he'll do a better job of going shopping before the mission next time.

(OOC, I already acted this turn. Moved up to green, swing-and-a-miss.)
Sorry, I wasn’t clear enough in describing how the formatting worked.
There is a BB Code OOC used to indicate text is something done Out Of Character. This tends to be mechanical things or explanation.
When it is done, the results look like this.
To do it you use square brackets around the OOC and closing /OOC. I will do it here with parentheses.
(ooc)Text you want displayed as Out of Character.(/ooc)
Now doing it with square brackets it shows up as…
Text you want displayed as Out of Character.
Capitalization does not matter for the BB Code tags.
Ask if you have other questions about this or other things related to PbP. I will do my best to answer them.
Also, it seems we were posting at the same time and I missed it. Thanks for the correction.

What kind of action would it be to swap out the vaccination for one of those mk3 healing vials in the needler?

Ominous!: 1d3 ⇒ 3
The chronicle info checks out, just double-checked.
Kiff Kiffington
|
Double checked my info. Looks good.
I forget, did they change the rules about reimbursing party memebrs for the cost of healing items? Am I allowed to pay Shokil back? MK IIIs are not cheap. I know you can not outright just give other PCs credits/items to keep beyond the scenario, but I thought there was an exception to pay back for healing items. my search-fu is failing me so I wanted to check if anyone else remembered/know where that is in the guide/faq.
| GM Bret |
The closest I can find to reimbursement is this:
Group Purchases
In Starfinder Society play, you can never buy, sell, or trade items with another player, but you may allow another player to borrow an item for the duration of an adventure. Players are permitted to pool their money to purchase items or spellcasting services for use in the current adventure. If the PCs buy an item using pooled money that they do not use during the adventure, one PC may purchase the item at the end of the adventure, paying the item’s full cost. If no PC wants to purchase the item, the PCs must sell the item back for 10% value, reimbursing each PC 10% of what they paid into the pool.
——
That is the closest I could find. It would have required that the group buy the healing serum.
If someone else has something please point it out.

But in this case it really doesn't matter, as the one I fired was one of the three we found in the case with the needler here
Actually I can't spot anyone else taking any of them, so I likely have two more, so maybe I should try to remove the dying condition from the frog. Though at the moment I'm keener on none of us getting that condition...

OOH ok, I forgot we found those. A little on site produrement never hurt anyone. I think I was a little gun shy about medicinals in a high radiation area. Or maybe I've played too much fallout.
Azara Thenason

Hey, you've been bitten by a Radioactive Frog Creature in a highly radioactive area.
I'm no scientist but I've read a lot of comic books so I'm 99% sure you're going to get some awesome frog powers after this scenario.
Is Kiff strong? Listen bud, he's got radioactive blood.
Oddman

Will he start to grow feathers?
| GM Bret |
Although they mention fog in the description, it doesn’t appear to have any mechanical effect.
Is Shokil hanging from a wall or something? There is higher ‘ground’ (trash piles) in the junkyard if he just wants to pick the tallest area. If he is trying to hang from a cable, you need 1 hand to do so.
You need at least two hands to climb, but you can cling to a wall with one hand while you cast a spell, shoot a small arm, or take some other action that takes only one hand. While climbing or clinging to a wall, you are flat-footed.
I am running some games for FreeRPG Day, so will not have time to update until tonight.
I have placed Azara on the slide, go ahead and adjust their position if you wish.
Shokil

Shokil finds a high pile of debris and keeps lookout.
Why do I have a Star Wars trash compactor feel about this?
| GM Bret |
Upon reading, I should be able to Mitigate 5 damage from that critical attack. I get an Entropy Point when I take more than my level in damage (surprise round) which I can then spend on Mitigate.
Mitigate requires a reaction.
You can't use a reaction before the first time you act in a combat.
| GM Bret |
With the last combat over, we can wrap this up. Thanks to all of you for playing!
You achieved your primary, secondary and SS LE goals.
If the PCs recovered the Tear, they succeed at their mission and each earn 1 Fame and 1 Reputation for any factions associated with their currently slotted faction boon. PCs who complete this mission also gain the Journey to the Scoured Stars: Segment 4 boon on their Chronicle sheets.
If the PCs complete any two of the following, they earn 1 additional Fame and 1 Reputation for any factions associated with their currently slotted faction boon: view Ralveen's final log, view Prima's final log, restore at least one izalguun with the vaccine.
Success at the PCs' primary mission contributes directly to the First Seeker's goals. Each PC earns 1 additional Reputation with the Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) faction, in additional to any other Reputation earned as a result of completing this scenario.
All of you also get the boon allowing you to purchase the multi-function visor.
Oddman is the only one who was affected by the radiation. He is the only one who has the option at the Devolved (Personal Boon). If for some reason you don’t want this Oddman, let me know.
If any of you want a fame purchase noted on your chronicle, please let me know. You don’t gain any fame from this scenario (ACP instead) but you can still spend it. Since you collected Segment 4 of the Scoured Stars, might want to look at the Year of the Scoured Stars boon from the Season 3 guide.
I hope you all had fun!
I will get chronicles out in the next couple of days. If you have something where you need the chronicle fast, let me know and I will try. Reporting goes through PbP Gameday X.
