Howdy. If you're a member of one of my games, then here are a few rules I'd like you to follow:
PFS 2E rules
1. Please post at least once a day. If you are absent for 24 hours I'll send you a PM. If you're missing for 36 hours I'll mark you inactive and your Player Character will simply delay - that's not fun!
2. Under your name, please add a stat block, so I can quickly find your stats and keep the game moving. You can edit your character's Race, Class/Levels and Gender fields to include information such as:
- Hit Points
- AC
- Saving Throws
- Perception Bonus
3. What about Secret Rolls? PFS 2nd ed has a lot of secret rolls the GM is supposed to make for the players, so the PCs can't react to a bad roll. If I give you the DC, feel free to make the roll openly. Otherwise, there are 2 ways to do this in my games:
- You can say which skill and which bonus you want to apply. (Example: "I use Occultism +5 to investigate the skull's mystic origin.")
- Or you spoiler your dice roll and everyone sticks to the honor system of not opening it.
If you haven't added Pathfinder specific equipment, I suggest you look at the <PFS 2 Society rules>, in particular the Pathfinder Training section.

You have an opportunity to buy supplies from town before you start your journey. You also should acquire a free item from the Pathfinder Society Schools (whichever one you picked, except for Field Commissioned PCs like Daraj.)
<This Chart> lists your options. If you don't pick one, I'll assume you took a <healing potion> (probably minor if you're under level 3.)
You can also take this chance to use boons you earned from previous games.

Going catfishing -- basically catfish as long as your arm with a head that will cause bludgeoning damage should it connect at high speed :)

You have a lot of options in this scenario. The most important one is checking out the old lodge. But you can already tell there's a rebellion forming underneath your nose. There's a few things you can do:
- Help the Firebrands overthrow the king
- Help the King subdue the rebels
- Help the King and the Firebrands come to terms
- Stay out of it and let the chips fall
So feel free to discuss what you all want to do.

Diplomacy +4 is the only thing I have. I doubt any of my lore skills are relevant. What does he care about Absalom… :)

What do we tell the king? We can go with Daraj talking to the king since most of my diplomacy involves flammable liquids... and I should have taken Society instead of Nature... :)

Kappa is generally interested in reducing conflict between both sides and thinks that getting the king to open talks with the rebels might further that goal.
He's trying to use the River Kingdom value of You Have What You Hold. I think we get a bonus to the check if we can incorporate one of the values into what we say.

I can try and say something, though I only got a +3, +4 if we incorporate soemthing but Im not sure what the group actively wants to do. Im assuming promote some sort of peacce?

I'd like to reduce the conflict as well. There has to be some middle ground. I'd suggest talk to the rebels first to see if you can come to an understanding. The king can always crush the rebellion if they can't meet in the middle...

Sounds like making peace with the rebels and listening to their plea is the plan. Those initial rolls will help with the skill challenge.
The entire party can make up to 5 skill checks. If you make enough successes, you'll convince the king to go along with your plan.
One person can make a check, but others may try to Aid. Aid is more difficult in 2e versus 1e; Crit Failing the Aid check does penalize the leader's check.
If you have any hero points, remember you can spend them to reroll your d20 and try again. Kappa already used one a few posts ago.

Can we reuse skills and can players make multiple attempts. If so, at +7 Society, Kappa might to be the powerhouse face character for this challenge.

I don't have the skills -- seems like Society is the high skill but I'm untrained (+3 bonus). My brand of diplomacy is with Alchemist's Fire :)

You can reuse the same skill for a different check.
So if Daraj could make 5 Society checks, for example. Or he could try one and Lokoloko could attempt a Diplomacy check instead.
@Najwa - You can definitely spend a hero point to reroll your Diplomacy check, or you could save it for a Diplomacy check to try this skill challenge.
