Daraj will attempt to help with the diplomacy in the only way he knows how - by complimenting their cooking and discussing recipes from his homeland.

If that doesn't help with the keepsakes, it should at least mean that both their and my next batch of bread is better.

what's scary is that the party's highest diplomacy score is with a pyromaniac goblin alchemist with a screw loose! :)

”Hmm?” Aula looks up and wipes the butter off her lips. ”Oh, you want those baubles? Sure, go ahead.” She waves in Caula’s direction, who proceeds to disappear into the kitchen. ”Maybe you’ll find a better use of them than I have.”

"But in exchange... I want his recipes." She grabs a blank journal and hands it to Daraj. "How much garlic should I add, again?"

Did I need to spend the hero point to get the journal? I wasn't sure so I didn't remove it yet?

Daraj opens his pack and pulls out a well-loved (and somewhat singed) apron. "You see, it's not just how much garlic to add, it's how you treat it. You have to..."

Daraj will no longer be a member of the Pathfinder Society until someone physically drags him away from the ovens. :)

Oranna would relatively politely decline eating, only having her canteen refilled while here. Last thing they needed was the Barbarian pushing her luck with talking with folk, she already helped possibly change the fate of a small kingdom.

I'm letting Daraj's check succeed, so Lokoloko can keep his hero point.

Najwa watches all of this go down with a smile. As much as she has trained herself to be a great fighter, she loves how a group with many different skills can make a plan come together without bloodshed.

"Thank you Lady Aula. We appreciate your generosity and I am glad our Master baker, Daraj, was able to give you something in return. I am glad that Pavo and Sera were able to find happiness here."

She picks up the journal from the floury table Daraj placed it on and wipes off his handprints. Glances through it out of curiosity while Daraj finishes his instructions.

Garlic bread, butter, cheese, water and cooking recipes trade back and forth for several yummy hours. Eventually Oranna drags Daraj out of the kitchen and the rest of the Pathfinders follow back to Artume with packs full of bread.

Flames burst from outdoor flame pits as the townsfolk roast boar, chicken, and garlic larger than your fist. ”Firebrands and the King shake hands!” The town crier says. ”The rebels have laid down their arms, and the King has pardoned them all. Already, locals are trying to start the first City Council. Authority spreads, hopefully corruption does not follow!”

As Venture-Captain Smine stands next to the ship, Chops and Brother Karyn approach you, holding a treasure chest. They try to speak, realize they are about to interrupt each other, then pause, then Chops finally blurts out a ”THANKS! Er, for everything. We got a lot to learn. Not every king is crazy with power, I guess! Go ahead, take this as a gratitude.”

Brother Karyn smirks. ”The treasure inside combines some of the treasury funds with the older heirlooms the Firebrands had smuggled. We hope the Pathfinder Society can revisit us at anytime- we have much to learn from people of all walks of life.”

"Well, this turned out better than I had ever imagined. Area explored, findings reported, potentially warring factions cooperating! Though I think you and I -" he winks at Lokoloko "- are due another round in our contest.

"And I won't turn down another feast. Mind telling me how you prepared this? I usually..."

Lokoloko flashes Daraj a toothy grin as only a goblin could. "Yea! We sees who burn bad ones best! Yous has to visits me in Absalom. Paffinder Lodge knows us. Sister and me makes many friends."

Lokoloko's ears droop slightly as he knows that he and his company will soon be parting ways. But his disappointment doesn't last long as he knows he will be going off on another adventure in the near future. On his way to the harbor, he stops by a food stand and purchases enough pickles to fill his pickle jar, remembering his promise to give some pickles to his sister when they next meet in Absalom.

As a parting gift, Lokoloko hands Chops one of his pickles, finally warming up to the Firebrand.

"Aye, we are glad we were around 't help sort things out here. I wish your people 't best as you sort out 't new government and all.". Kappa steps forward and grabs one of the chests handles. "And most gracious for 't gifts too. We will make sure it gets to 't right place "

Oranna would not stop until she reached harbor after concluding their business proper here. She was happy that they had received payment and compensation but everything else was utterly useless. The Rivier Kingdoms were a silly place for her and the quicker she took leave the better.

”Alright, let’s get a move on!” Venture-Captain Smine calls you onto the ship. ”I finally got some updates on Napsunar. She headed into western Cheliax. That region is now in the borders of Andoran. We’ll track her down at some point.”

With your treasures collected, both material and historical, you prepare to set sail for Absalom. Where will your adventures lead to, next?

Basically I made some tweaks to the character that I'd like to try in the next scenario...

Kappa eagerly looks forward to the return trip to the Lodge, where he'll be able to help tend the garden there on days when he needs a break from reading in the library.

"It was a good journey, but this halfling is looking forward 't getting his nose back home. If Liu didn't over water them again, then I should coming home just in time to help harvest 't early summer crops!" he says, licking his lips greedily.

"I's got to check to see if sister is done with Paffinder training. Maybe she go on mission for Society too!"
