I have a tendency to be too ambitious but I really thought it would be cool to start out not all together.

I don't get stressed out with the creative writing of posts and imagining reactions of NPC's, that part usually is pleasant and easy for me.

Making and managing a lot of digital maps would stress me out. Tracking passage of time seperately could be challenging. Steering the course of events towards a foregone conclusion of a meetup, and juggling what to reveal and what to hold back... could be tricky.

But I am keen to try it a bit.

You know, we could have a little scene at the university, a little interlude out in the woods, then peer in on the escapades of Bez..

Like they do in films.

I mean, at any point we can sort of shuffle things a long, we won't be stuck or anything.

I would give it a go I think.

Then maybe you folks can roleplay out your meetings with each other to some extent..

Ok, sounds good to me. I like the idea of little vignettes strung together to get a sense of what things are like for each of our characters as individuals before adventuring.

What would your relationship with him be like?

My thought was that Saendithas would be grudgingly drawn to the gnome, more out of curiosity and wonder than anything else. Though a bit arrogant at times, Saen is a child of magic, and will be in awe of this "new" school of study that he doesn't understand while at the same time be being told he has an aptitude for it by Hadzranl. I picture him (the gnome) as charming in an odd way, yoda-ish without the odd speech patterns, with a love for music and drink. (Feel free to chime in with other qualities you'd like to see...or not want, for that matter.)

I've got the Robin Williams dead poet society voice in my head already for this gnome.

* huge grin * Perfect.

While we're discussing voices, at least for a start, until I warm up to writing in Saendithas' "voice", I'm basing his sound and speech patterns of of James Spader. (Reddington on Blacklist, Alan Shore on Boston Legal, or if you don't know those, Ultron in Age of Ultron). Might not stay there, but the idea amuses me. :D

Do it! Hilarious!

NOt sure what voice and personality aspects I want to give Fiadh aside from the Gentle Gaint Persona.

Random Roll on Tiefling Appearance Stuff: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Enjoying Vex's build. Going against every grain in my gamer traditions I've made STR my dump stat. Who needs muscles when you are a lithe and supple wielder of finesse weapons :)

Presume we can do Starting Gold instead of Starting Equipment? (Vex has no need for a Shortbow or Shortsword...). If so...

Starting Gold (Rogue): 4d4 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 4) = 12 x10 = 120GP

Yes starting gold is no problem.

I've thought about it, but I don't really have much to add. I think it's an interesting contrast that the things my character is most interested in him about are not magic-related, unlike your character.

I'm not sure what my character's voice will be. I think I'll just have to figure it out as we go.

Everyone doesn’t have to figure out a voice it is just something that sometimes helps.

We’re having our last few days in the old house, so doing a lot of family stuff as well as last minute work.

No worries, Gimmy. Do what you need to do. We'll be here.

Grimmy you do what you need too man.

Take your time and don’t push things forward here until you’re ready.

Take a breath and enjoy mate. Moving home is one of the (potentially) most stressful things we can do.

Know from previous its also a wistful time - lots of halcyon memories being mulled as much as the great new ones to be made.

We'll keep til your ready :)

Thanks guys! Glad you understand. Wistful indeed BD.

More than 30 years we had the place in the family, very secluded and green.

My brothers kids want to do one last DnD sleepover.

And you will, of course, oblige them, no? :D

Leaving the ol' homestead is never easy. The transition can be quite jarring.

Yup we had a couple marathon sessions. Kinda settling in now.

So I was just starting to stat up a couple NPC's including the gnome at the academy and I came across something.

It seems some folks are of the opinion that Chronurgist is broken. I am not too worried about it. I don't think this is the group that is trying to make busted characters or anything.

@Saendithas, didn't you go with less than max intelligence anyway? I can't see your sheet in the profile, where did it go?
