are we using a different map or just theater of the mind?

My. Error forgot to change players tag. You can see new map

I do it all the time in my Agents game...lol.

Ill give Eilyne and Barhador til tomorrow and bot them

We aren't up right now are we? We weren't bolded.

I'm slowly working on a spread sheet with the loot on it.

GMMichael, it looks like we forgot to loot the dead outside the Forge/trading company, is that your recollection as well?

yes I dropped hints several times, noone took me up on checking the dead body of the trader nor did anyone ask to look at the bodies of the firestarters.

yep, that's what I was afraid of. I personally got distracted talking through the door and getting Brunner's gear. It happens.

Oh, well. We seem to be doing pretty well at gathering things otherwise, so, hopefully that won't be too harmful long-term.

Is there anything stopping one or more of us from going back?

M ARG Elf variant Hunter (Feral) 2 HP 7/17 | AC15 T13 F12 CMD16 | F+4 R+6 W+2 | Init+3 | Per+9 Low-Light | SM+2

Time. Risk of reducing the chance of getting everyone out without loss. The fact that going back is mostly metagaming (in my opinion).

I agree with Barhador. Our Home is being invaded by an Army of Goblinoids suddenly. Our characters are still recovering from the shock of this whole thing. Sometimes you forget to do things. It makes it more real.

I was a little distracted when I made the post. The 'Scottish translator' I've been using is on the frits so I've been making the accent up as I go.

I do hope that my playing him rough around the collar doesn't offend anyone?
His Backstory (previously played PbP) supports it...lol.
He will soften up eventually.

So I've been working on a spread sheet for items, here I think I have it so everyone can edit it. if not let me know.

I've not done a lot of spread sheets, and right now it just has the items themselves not the values or totals. But I think it's enough to get started. If you want to claim something just note it in discussion and we'll copy it over to the sheet.

I don't remember if anyone has used the earlier potions, if you have please note it.

Any recommended changes?

I'm thinking doing a separate sheet for each level or book.

Yes :)

I noted the 'in-game post' where that happened to the right. I figure when we 'settle' up anything that's not 'claimed' we'll total, split the gold and then go a new sheet.

Still playing with ideas of how to post, so I left it there for now. I was thinking if I left stuff on like that and just show how or where it was claimed then we would know it make it to the list. I didn't add a 'claimed' column for the trade goods. Maybe I should do that...

female human phytokineticist (overwhelming soul) 2 | HP 16/17 | neg lvl 0 | AC 13; F 11; T 12 | F +5; R +5; W +0 | CMB +1; CMD 13 | Init +2 | Per +5 | dagger +! (1d4 19-20/x2) | wood blast +3 (1d6+1+4) | pbs/prec s

So that was a good question. Would I be able to "nail the doors shut"? I would guess it would be target the door to "break" it so it won't open?

So disable device has "Disable or rig simple device" giving "Jam a lock" as it's example. Not sure how to go about 'nailing a door shut.'

But whether it would work mechanically or not, it seemed like something Brunner would think is a good idea. I think most of his good ideas will involve an hammer and hitting something.

your spikes wouldnt be able to nail the door like that. simply because theres nothing to nail the door to.

Ok; the plan?

Arkhan will cast Obscuring Mist to hide the Bridge from prying eyes from Town.

Tarrow (?) Will use the Dust to create the Illusion that the Bridge area is undisturbed.
Great idea, by the way!

Some of the NPCs will begin sabotaging the Bridge; whilst the remaining PCs begin an assault on the guards.

If this is correct; then I will post accordingly.

If we're going to need a Use Magic Device roll then Tarrow can do that.

Also, the bridge area is strewn with bodies. If we can kill the enemy quickly we may be able to loot several before blowing the bridge, given Ethan's excellent plan.

if youre going to have some npcs involved I need to know who so I can put them on map and add their stats and initiative to things

Arkhan - What's your thinking about Vane and Kining? I'd prefer to not put Tarrow's unofficial mentor into harm's way if not absolutely necessary.

Arkhan Silvinesti wrote:

That's just so wrong, funny as all get out and probably true, but so wrong...

Male Orc (Half-Elf) Wizard (War Mage) [Commander] 12 Initiative Society+25 Hp 143/143 AC(E) 32 Fort(E)+20, Ref(E)+17, Will(E)+18 Perception(E)+18 Senses LLV, Darkvision Spell Active

I am thinking that they would have the experience, knowledge, and fortitude to complete the important task that is needed.
It is either that; or we split the party for competence?

Besides, he'll be perfectly fine. What in heavens could go wrong?
Arkhan, of course, would be crossing his fingers behind his back...lol.

Halfling M Halfling Vivisectionist (1) | HP:10/10 AC:16 (FF:13/T:15) | BAB:0 CMD:14 CMB:1 FO:3 RE:5 WL:0 | Init:+3 Perc:+6 Spd:30 | Shortspear: +3/1d4+2 | Adaptable Luck: 2/3

I think we should only employ the trained warriors and healers and not the skilled npcs, especially the smith and the alchemist.

We can handle this. ;)

I get why he suggested them though...Kining knows where to damage the bridge and Vane knows the explosive powder. and Rhyna to keep them alive. plus 1 guard per.

Male Orc (Half-Elf) Wizard (War Mage) [Commander] 12 Initiative Society+25 Hp 143/143 AC(E) 32 Fort(E)+20, Ref(E)+17, Will(E)+18 Perception(E)+18 Senses LLV, Darkvision Spell Active

Yes; that is my thinking.

EDIT: Only my opinion, of course, but, it is the strongest choice for, perhaps, the most important variable in our escape.

If not them; then two of us would need to go.

But I shall bow to the group decision, of course.

If it's a necessary risk, then let's go with it.

Halfling M Halfling Vivisectionist (1) | HP:10/10 AC:16 (FF:13/T:15) | BAB:0 CMD:14 CMB:1 FO:3 RE:5 WL:0 | Init:+3 Perc:+6 Spd:30 | Shortspear: +3/1d4+2 | Adaptable Luck: 2/3

I was hoping to have acted prior to combat. The enemy does not yet know we're here, do they?

no. but the group has to be close enough that the risk of discovery means we should go to initiative.

Halfling M Halfling Vivisectionist (1) | HP:10/10 AC:16 (FF:13/T:15) | BAB:0 CMD:14 CMB:1 FO:3 RE:5 WL:0 | Init:+3 Perc:+6 Spd:30 | Shortspear: +3/1d4+2 | Adaptable Luck: 2/3

Ahh, that's why I rolled stealth. Does the plan still work once combat ensues? If so, then keep my action for my turn.

yes.

M ARG Elf variant Hunter (Feral) 2 HP 7/17 | AC15 T13 F12 CMD16 | F+4 R+6 W+2 | Init+3 | Per+9 Low-Light | SM+2

Got off work, went to a FtF game, and just now got a chance to post . . ..

The obscuring mist positioned like a fog rising out of the valley, off the water, to block line of sight, and then we won't need the illusion!

Should take a couple of tanks to the cabin to block at the door, keep those inside where only one could fight. Having them both wit inside instead would still be a win!

Everybody else tries to take out the animal and handler?

Now, to go see what you've started without me . . ..

Barhdor, with your plan, do you want Brunner at the cabin or on the bridge? I think he's tankier than most, but happy to go either.

Male Orc (Half-Elf) Wizard (War Mage) [Commander] 12 Initiative Society+25 Hp 143/143 AC(E) 32 Fort(E)+20, Ref(E)+17, Will(E)+18 Perception(E)+18 Senses LLV, Darkvision Spell Active

I haven't looked it up in ages; but, I am almost certain that if you did look up the word Tank; a picture of a Dwarf Paly would be promised.

Halfling M Halfling Vivisectionist (1) | HP:10/10 AC:16 (FF:13/T:15) | BAB:0 CMD:14 CMB:1 FO:3 RE:5 WL:0 | Init:+3 Perc:+6 Spd:30 | Shortspear: +3/1d4+2 | Adaptable Luck: 2/3

Unless things are changed, Tarrow will continue with the plan. Please use previous post in gameplay for his action.

M ARG Elf variant Hunter (Feral) 2 HP 7/17 | AC15 T13 F12 CMD16 | F+4 R+6 W+2 | Init+3 | Per+9 Low-Light | SM+2

Yes, generally heavily armored dwarves are tanky.

female human phytokineticist (overwhelming soul) 2 | HP 16/17 | neg lvl 0 | AC 13; F 11; T 12 | F +5; R +5; W +0 | CMB +1; CMD 13 | Init +2 | Per +5 | dagger +! (1d4 19-20/x2) | wood blast +3 (1d6+1+4) | pbs/prec s

So i guess I was confused by the map. is the fog down in the valley to hide our crossing or is it on the shore near the bridge where I am standing on the map?

Barhador wrote:

ok, he will head to the shed, but for what it's worth I'd like t get him even more 'heavily armored" :)

its a 20 foot radius cloud and Arkhan had said he was centering it on him to make sure he blocked vision to the market green. Ive drawn the gray line on the map to show the edges of it.

Halfling M Halfling Vivisectionist (1) | HP:10/10 AC:16 (FF:13/T:15) | BAB:0 CMD:14 CMB:1 FO:3 RE:5 WL:0 | Init:+3 Perc:+6 Spd:30 | Shortspear: +3/1d4+2 | Adaptable Luck: 2/3

I corrected Tarrow's movement. He is not in the cloud when he uses the dust, so probably clearly visible despite the stealth roll.

My apologies for being absent for a few days. Been moving since Friday. And no internet connection in the new house (even though I'm in the middle of the city and my cell signal for inet was also nonexistent.

Cable Guy installed a modem this morning...and voila

I'm back
