Menan sends a missile of force to the farthest goblin dragging the boy.
He draws his light crossbow.
Arawyn takes a five foot step, draws her dagger and swings the rapier.
One goblin gets a bad headache, one a deep cut and Menan shoots the one dragging the boy into oblivion. Another two step up and drag him further away. The goblins cut their losses and flee. Some faster, some stumbling blindly away.
Arawyn double moves east.
Menan moves east and delivers another missile of force to the farthest east goblin.
Faerveren follows Arawyn to intercept the goblins.
"Running away? You go ahead, I'll catch up later." she tells and moves as fast as her limp allows.
Menan shoots another goblin dead. The remaining goblin flee further. The one dragging the boy is slowed by the weight. One goblin though is suddenly pulled into the passage to the left.
The further you move from the hole the darker it gets. Where the boy is, it's almost dark.
Arawyn double moves to cut off the boy snatching goblin. She moves in such a way as to stay out of their reach until she stops beside the lead kidnapper.
Menan continues east and when he sees the large beast he casts grease.
Faerveren goes the straight line towards a goblin and stabs it.
Persephone follows and casts light on her hairband
Faerveren kills the goblin. The otyugh is stuck on the grease. The last goblin in sight tries to get away.
Arawyn swings at the goblin as it tries to skirt past her.
She moves to see what is concerning Menan. "Oh, my!"
Menan begins casting a spell.
Persephone tries to reach the boy to patch him up before he dies.
Faerveren places herself close to the corner, ready to stab at the stinking garbage eater.
The goblin is wounded badly, but it gets away.
The otyugh still struggles to get past the grease.
As Menan finishes his spell a reefclaw appears behind the Otyugh.

He cranks his crossbow.
Arawyn drops her dagger, sheaths her rapier and draws her longbow.
Faerveren looks at Arawyn and finds her weaponry suddenly lacking. She has no reliable way to do ranged attacks. She only has one dagger and for sure will not throw that at this stinking beast. She waits, still ready to stab it.
Persephone reaches the boy and casts a healing spell oon him.
The boy is brought back to full health. But he will be traumatized for life.
The hyena bites the otyugh from behind. As the beast is not very clever it attacks the summoned monster. The hyena is taken apart and the otyugh is really upset as the hyena simply disappears instead of filling its belly.
Menan fires his crossbow and cranks it.
Arawyn fires her longbow.
"Are we supposed to kill this garbage eater?" Faerveren inquires, as she has nothing else to do in this fight. "I mean, they do eat everything that otherwise might clog the sewer. Like a pile of dead goblins."
Persephone helps the boy up and leads him past Arawyn, behind her, making sure he doesn't run into an arrow.
Menan hits the beast, despite his unfortunate angle from which he is shooting at it . Arawyn also hits the large beast .
With the arrows in its back, the otyugh is reminded of the people around and turns. It passes the greased area, gets stabbed by Faerveren, and bites at the half-elf.
The boy starts screaming again.
"Ouch. Nevermind." As the beast doesn't stay away, so one could ignore it, not killing it is no longer an option.
Menan fires again and puts some distance between himself and the beast.
Arawyn moves with Menan and takes another shot.
Faerveren wounds the otyugh badly and Menan brings it down. Arawyns arrow goes wide.
Arawyn stows he bow and grabs her dagger as she moves to Faerveren. "Oh, we need to fix that."
"What?" Faerveren inquires.
Persephone brings the boy back to his mother and then takes a look at the man under the cart. She heals him and lifts the cart off of him.
Menan takes a quick glance at the hole as he moves past it to get a good view of everything when he casts detect magic.
He will then search the goblins taking his time, then look for a location where the large beast could have come from. Another hole? He will then go back to the first hole and take his time to inspect it. As he passes Persephone he says "You are a caster. I do wonder what else you have not shared with us."

"Your wound. I am afraid I might do more harm than good trying to help you. And when this all over with I have a fighting trick that you must learn. It is easy to do and having observed your style I believe you will be extremely good at it."
Menan pockets the coins. "We can divvy this up at the Pig. I will wait here for the city guard to arrive."
First Isabella arrives. The road caving in draws a lot of people to gawk curiously, but Isabella brings a rope and offers to pull her regulars out.
"I'll let Persephone fix that. She is good at that." Faerveren replies and walks back to the cave in where her friend is, and some daylight.
"You are a caster. I do wonder what else you have not shared with us."
"I guess it didn't come up yet." Persephone replies and heals Faerveren. "But it's not like I make a secret of it."
Persephone helps the boy and the woman to climb back up to the surface with the rope Isabella is holding.
As they are out she offers the man to go. Once only the party is left she asks "Who's next?"

then look for a location where the large beast could have come from. Another hole? He will then go back to the first hole and take his time to inspect it.
The hole the otyugh came out is actually a sewer tunnel that runs uphill towards the part of town where the manors stand. There is nothing specific in sight, where the beast could be from.
The cave in was clearly caused by the goblins. They dug out stones of the sewer ceiling until it couldn't support the street above anymore.
Finally two guards from the city watch appear. As the dangerous part is already over, one of them leaves again to report the incident and organize some barricades. The other one orders the spectators to stand back and inquires what happened.
"The goblins came out of the caved in road. No idea where the big guy came from. The girls and I killed then. They were attempting to run off with a young boy. Being new to town, I must ask if you have a goblin problem. What is that big one there called?"
Faerveren follows Menan back up to the guard. Supporting the debriefing she adds "That big thing was one of those garbage eating otyughs that sometimes live in sewers."
"You want a hand too?" Persephone offers Arawyn.
As it's Persephone's turn to climb up, either before or after Arawyn she notices something. "Oh, I think I left my mace back there."
She walks back to the place she healed the boy. On the way there she curses herself. "Me and my forgetfulness. If my head weren't screwed on..." and some other unintelligible mumbling.
She picks up her mace there and comes back again. She walks back to the hole with the rope and let the others help her out. She can hold on to a rope, but climbing one without a wall to put her feet against is beyond her skill.
"Thank you Persephone but I believe I am unscathed." She checks herself for wounds.
After a while four guards come along carrying two wooden frames to block the road. They place it and then put two lanterns at it to make sure no one falls into the whole at night.
"I'm not aware of any goblin problem." The guard takes a look into the hole to get a glimpse of the critters. "No. Haven't seen those in town ever."
