Joe wanders to the greenhouse, more looking in than going in...unless the door is easily accessible in which case Joe would go in.
Perception to look around: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Life Science (biology?) to check the greenhouse: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20

Shifty |

Joe spends five minutes studying the plants in the greenhouse and identifies the plants as indigenous flora that, though they originate on different worlds, all act as natural filters, holding a reservoir of clean drinking water somewhere in their stem of leaves. Picking a few plants and carefully opening their reservoirs reveals that they all contain a strange, purple, sticky sap. You identify the substance as kinwood sap, a fluid harvested from sentient kinwood trees on Ghorus Prime.
The room has nothing else of note , you check the final doors
You check the twin doors and see the control terminal has been deliberately sabotaged to stay shut - you'd need a good computer tech to bypass it, an engineer to repair, or some brute force to open it.

![]() |

Buddy look at the doors
"Shoul Mujina and I force them open or do you want to try the slower way - brains." chuckles at his joke Buddy. Apparently eaten bars brought back his sense of humor.

![]() |

While Ayoka goes the engineering route, Joes goes the computer hacker route...
Computers: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25

![]() |

"Good thing I took a bite of that bar, might take a lot of energy to yank this open!" Mujina says patting his stomach and getting ready in case he is needed.

![]() |

"Good Damoritosh....didn't ya all eat something at the bar...or did all you do is drink? I have more Akiton Way Bars.....though I might have to resupply when we get back to Absalom Station if all of you are endless stomachs...."

![]() |

Not me Ayoka squeaked. I got my own supply of bars. Castrovalvian Wild Berry Bars to be precise. I think they're better ... more tasty than those dry old things. And they're chocolate covered

Shifty |

New slide up!
You bypass the door and see what is on the other side!

A battered delivery van with a massive turret built onto its roof idles in
the loading dock, which stands empty of all but a few discarded equipment scraps and the remains of a broken wooden pallet. A muscular shobhad worker shoves one last crate into the back of the van, offering a glimpse of a limp humanoid form sprawled beside stacks of laden pallets before the door slams shut. The shobhad smirks, leaping onto the bumper before hauling himself up to the roof and signaling to the driver. Tires screech as the van speeds away in a cloud of exhaust.
There is another dilapidated van in the bay. You could catch them if you hurry!
But it has no keys - hotwire the van, either by succeeding at a DC 15 Engineering check to rip open the control panel and cause a short in the ignition wires, a DC 14 Computers check to hack the onboard computer. A successful DC 13 Sleight of Hand check to forge a replica key.

![]() |

"In what universe is Castrovalvian Wild Berry Bars are better than Akitonian Way Bars?" asks when he sees the scene in front of them...
Buddy runs towards the car, hiding his doshko and shield. He jumps on the driver seat wishing to show his nufriends how good a driver he is. Seeing a lack of keys he looks at the control panel, he has no idea what to do. Then he turns towards an onboard computer, nothing. Finally replica key... no. He changes seats letting someone more skilled take the pilot seat.
"Szama! On your furry legs! Quick, quick. I will be your pilot."

![]() |

Joe attempts to hack the onboard computer...knowing that somebodyh else will be piloting it.
Computers: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
"Buddy, or whoever, you will be taking a medicine that I got from the Society...it will help you with piloting....just for about 30 seconds....so don't worry if you feel multiple injections."
Chase rules are weird....but Assuming that I have a moment, I will inject the pilot with a serum that will give them +2 to piloting skills..it lasts for 25 seconds. I have most of my serums left, so I can probably get a good 2 minutes of a Boosted Skitter. But I hope that this won't stop me from attempting a standard action to shoot tires out or something....

![]() |

"Oh man, oh man, oh man! Get me close enough and I am gonna jump on them!" Mujina says excitedly as he climbs aboard.

Shifty |

The enemy vehicle is disappearing down the road, you have a sec to inject a serum, but there's no shooting out tyres just yet

Joe looks at the....turret???...on the vehicle. "This place must be a BAD place if a delivery van has a freaking turret with laser rifle on the top. I am not good at rifles...except my caustolance of course. So I will just attempt to lean out the window holding it out to shoot at the opposing vehicle. Though I think the other 4 hands will be used to keep me from falling out....considering how enthusiastic Buddy seems to be."
I do have a good to hit with my caustolance, but the azimuth laser does not have the injection quality, so I don't have proficiency....maybe somebody else does?

"Hold it steady Buddy....hold it steady......", with that she pulls the trigger as soon as the tire is lined up.

"Ah, Buddy! That's my job," Szama protests. But there's no time to fight over the pilot's seat at the moment, so she just climbs in the back of the van and looks for an opening. As Buddy accelerates and draws up closer behind the fleeing delivery vehicle, she casts a spell, hoping to trick the driver into thinking there's some kind of mechanical failure!
If possible, I'll cast Ghost Sound to create the sound of the engines falling apart (DC13 to disbelieve). Range on that is only 30ft at this level, so if that's not an option, I'll Puncture Veil instead.
If Puncture Veil becomes the option, can I target the same tire the team has been firing at? The spell specifiies that the target is a creature, but just wanted to check if this would also be allowed.
