Yes- half-elves can be the children of one human parent + any of the elf subraces (or half-elf parents, ect)

Total respect to Robert here, he's doing Hapi's work :) Also full respect to anyone who doesn't want to have an evil ruler, the name of the game is to have some fun! Very excited for the upcoming deadline, although I have a few papers I need to finish up tonight and may not be as active as I normally would like! Still, I'll check in a few times tonight, don't want to slow anything down.

Ugh, now I feel I need to come up with something to reach 15 so everyone can play. Snow day yesterday didn't help with my free time. With 3 players already using a melee character for all 3 kingdoms, I'll have to go a different route if I have time to finish.

Keep in mind- no need to do the crunch, just get a good 2-3 sentences of the INTENT of the character is good enough.

If we DO end up with exactly 15 submissions/18 characters that would push tables to 6 total each- but I'm good with that to avoid leaving anyone out.

No worries- it's the nature of things; there's almost always more players than seats for a game, so hopefully they will get picked up on another game.

(or rather, pretend to look the other way. Really they're scribbling frantically trying to gather as much blackmail as possible to help save them money later...)

On the plus side, 14 players may actually be better than a full 15 completely split.
In the history of my PbP games, one unfortunate and consistent aspect was that quite often, people dropped out soon after a game started.
Either they didn't feel the character, or the GM style was not to their taste, something came up in real life, or they simply overextended - the exact reason doesn't matter, really.

What I'm saying is that while only 12 will be initially picked, whoever remains has, in my opinion, a good chance to be drafted as replacement soon - with 12 players, it seems likely.

And whoever ends up in the replacement pool, don't forget that with what was initially requested from us it is hardly about the quality of the submission here, and more about perceived group synergies as seen by the Kings. So a less well-crafted submission may make the cut simply for fitting in better. As such, I would heavily suggest that whoever ends up not initially picked holds on to their characters and considers joining as replacements :)

I have resisted my temptation to grab as many clerics as possible to deny the other kingdoms access to their services. I call upon Edelsmirge and MordredofFairy to join my court. I am very interested to see how these builds would work!

That would just mean that Ivar's second level would be oracle...

yeah, might mean getting Craft Wand, but Frank or Tim could also handle healing.
Oddly, the summoner would end up better than the paladin at healing thanks to Summon Good Monster on Frank and multiclassing on Tim xD

I could suggest the unused Recruitment thread for Vault of Heaven, but that gets annoying for any of us who want to subscribe to the thread, but don't want to see the Gameplay activity for that Kingdom. Plus, it could be frustrating for other users of the Recruitment forum who might be looking for an actual Recruitment, and for GMs who are getting their Recruitments bumped down the page.

Instead, I suggest yet a fourth Discussion thread (with a linked Gameplay thread that we can dot).
