The Storm Crow
Round 2
Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 the door is swing open and a burning hands cast, but it could only hit one of the gnomes and he dodge part of it.
Griselda attempts to grapple, but the size large spriggan is too strong for her!
Relzak steps into the door, and the two small sized ones unload their crossbows at him! This is off readied attacks
Light Crossbow: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 8 - 4 = 14
Light Crossbow: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 8 - 4 = 21 one hit!
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Then he strikes hard at one of the size large ones!
Eldric steps in and hits the other large one! They are not flat footed so no sneak attack here
The size large swing at Eldric:
Morningstar: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25 hit!
Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (3, 6) + 5 = 14
And Relzak:
Morningstar: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14 Parry fails, but still misses (actually, thanks to bless that would match 14- but there's the -2 for size difference so it still narrowly does not parry)
The size small ones cast scare (DC 12 Will) at Eldric and Relzak.
The Spriggan Lord stands back, morningstar readied to attack anyone foolish enough to move to him.
Turn order:
1. Spriggans
2. Handerbald
3. Griselda
4. Relzak
5. Eldric
6. Ghostwind
Status:
Red: -12
Blue: -10
Relzak: 33/36
Eldric: 27/39
Ghostwind still has his round 2 action so he can act for both rounds and everyone else can act for round 3; remember bless is up for +1 to hit/damage
Griselda the Silver Witch
Griselda seeing her allies be attacked switches to healing
CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Her hair begins to glow and passes over Eldric's wound to deliver the healing
Ghostwind, the Harbinger
So it seems the door actually opens.
Ghostwind swiftly enchants his sword with magical power, then enters the dwelling only to find two large faes warding the door. He takes advantage from the cover given by the doorstep to close in on one of them and invokes his deadly energies.

The force of the blow sent Eldric bouncing off of the wall. He had little to no space to maneuver, so instead could only throw a pair of desperate punches.
Relzak the Fearless Warrior
Relzak leaps into the room, his eagerness earning him a minor cut across his ribs. He nimbly dodges another swing from the over-sized gnome-man, and further into the room, a gnome-sized gnome-man attacks Relzak's zeal with magic!
Will+Bless: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8

But he is Relzak, known to the common people of Tharbenia as the Fearless Warrior! He is not afraid!
He tries to dart through the legs of gnome-giant to his right to flank it with Eldric...
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 9 + 1 = 11
...But he is unable to do so. He opts to hack at it, instead.

Ghostwind, the Harbinger
Sorry, is this a special Bless that grants a bonus to damage? If so, please adjust the damage from Ghostwind's attack above.
Relzak the Fearless Warrior
Good point. I was going with the last line of this post.
The Storm Crow
Round 2
Handerbald casts guidance on Eldric.
Griselda cures Eldric.
Relzak misses.
Eldric hits three times, finishing the (formerly red) Spriggan.
With several quick attack, Ghostwind finishes the (formerly blue) Spriggan!
Round 3
The small spriggans cast a pair of flare spells at Eldric and Ghostwind. DC 10 fort or become dazzled for 1 minute
The Spriggan Lord charges Relzak
Morningstar, Charge, Power Attack, Furious Focus: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 15 + 2 = 27
Damage: 2d6 + 11 ⇒ (6, 6) + 11 = 23
Turn order:
1. Spriggans
2. Handerbald
3. Griselda
4. Relzak
5. Eldric
6. Ghostwind
Status:
Relzak: 10/36
Eldric: 35/39
Handerbald can either use Leap of the Heavens to send one of you to the otherside to flank without provoking, or can use cure light (d8+3) on Relzak
That brings up the party again!
Eldric Lightbringer
Guidance Fort: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 1 = 8
"Dazzled: The creature is unable to see well because of over-stimulation of the eyes. A dazzled creature takes a –1 penalty on attack rolls and sight-based Perception checks."

Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Add +2 if flanking. Up to Relzak, I think, on whether he wants the heal or the flank.
Suddenly everything went bright, as a display of flashing lights overtook Eldric's sight. Narrowing his eyes against the sensory overload, Eldric stepped forward and let loose a collection of punches and kicks, all of which were made difficult to land given how hard it was to see.
2, 9, 8, 2...could I get some new dice, please?
Griselda the Silver Witch
i think he's gonna need both heals before continuing then he can attempt to flank by acrobatics maybe
Griselda sees Relzak take a massive hit so she decides to heal him as well
CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
we need to deal with those spellcasters is there another way into the cabin maybe another window i could reach one of them from outside?
Relzak the Fearless Warrior
Yes, I'll take the heal(s), thanks.
Bloodied, but not broken, Relzak tries to dance around the remaining large spriggan so that it's surrounded.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Whether he's successful or not, he strikes!
Attack+Bless: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 9 + 1 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
If that hits, then apply the Menacing Swordplay deed to demoralize
Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
The Storm Crow
2 people marked this as a favorite.
Since the Acrobatics fails and minimum damage on his hit is the same as maximum damage on cure light, I'm going to rule that Handerbald sends Relzak across after Griselda heals him
Griselda heals Relzak.
Thanks to the flank, Relzak narrowly hits the Spriggan lord, but the larger creature is not intimidated by him.
But Eldric's strikes are not as well aimed and clank uselessly off his armor. You've now seen 21 hit and 18 miss so you know its in there.
Turn order:
1. Spriggans
2. Handerbald
3. Griselda
4. Relzak
5. Eldric
6. Ghostwind

Relzak: 18/36
Eldric: 35/39

Griselda the Silver Witch
ok so since relzak is across now I can't heal him anymorealso does bless apply to grappled o.o?
Griselda takes advantage of the flank Griselda takes a small step forward and lashes out with her hair
Grapple+Flank+Bless: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 6 + 2 + 1 = 28
If it hits swift action to Constrict
Constrict: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
And sneak attack since he's grappled
Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 2
The Storm Crow
we were only pending ghost wind before the Spriggan attacks- obviously will roll Griseldas good roll into after that but there will be a round of swings in there
Ghostwind, the Harbinger
Sorry, unexpected work.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Handerbald touches Ghostwind healing him Cure: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 bringing him back awake, but leaving him prone.
Griselda manages to grapple the Spriggan Lord, constricting him!

With the spriggan lord grappled, Eldric stepped forward and punched the enemy in the gut. He was reeling from the blow, and knew that he wouldn't survive another one like it, but now was not the time to worry about that. They had to take the enemy down quickly. Not only for their lives, but for Tharbenia.
Relzak the Fearless Warrior
Relzak took a staggering blow to the head, leaving everything blurry and his thoughts slow. Fortunately, the towering foe in front of him presented an easy target.
Attack+Bless: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 1 = 26
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
If that hits, then apply the Menacing Swordplay deed to demoralize
Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Dang, I need to get these 20s on things that will restore a panache point. If that blow killed the Spriggan Lord, then I'll get a point back. Relzak is now at 1 hit point. I'm going to use my final panache point to activate the dodging panache deed, even though not having that reserve will inhibit most of his abilities and his damage output. If Relzak is attacked with a melee attack, his AC increases by 3 points, and he moves one square to the south.
Ghostwind, the Harbinger
Alright, so, Ghostwind cast Shield before entering the hut, so his AC is 17+4=21. If he's hit anyway, why is he prone?
Ghostwind tries to eliminate the lesser threat first, attacking the smaller spriggan.
Concentration DC 15: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Spellstrike Arcane Mark, Bless: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 1 = 15

Regular attack, Bless: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 1 = 15
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Then he should be at 30-14+11= 27/30 HP if I'm not mistaken, right?
Ghostwind stands up trying not to be totally massacred by the AoO's.
Stand up as move, attack the smaller spriggan if still alive after AoOs.
Regular attack, Bless: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 1 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
The Storm Crow
Please make sure when you do things to up your AC to update your headers or to note it every round in your post- 21 would miss then since it was a 19; I crossed up on the attacks there somehow I thought the hit took Ghostwind down
Will apply the healing to Eldric instead
Relzak hits and Eldric hits once; the Spriggan Lord does not appear intimidated.
Ghostwind misses the smaller spriggan. Ironically AC 17 so both attacks missed by exactly the -2 for taking two
The Spriggn lord attempts to break the grapple:
CMB: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19 and breaks free!
The small Spriggans attack again with their flank restored-
At Ghostwind
Morningstar: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 5 + 2 = 24 hit (or real)!
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4) = 7
At Elric
Morningstar: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 2 = 9
Turn order:
1. Spriggans
2. Handerbald
3. Griselda
4. Relzak
5. Eldric
6. Ghostwind

The spriggarn lord wouldn’t die, and that was a problem. Digging into his reserves, Eldric launched a brutal attack, giving everything he had in a burst of energy and violence.
Ghostwind, the Harbinger
Set on erasing the spriggan cohorts to avoid them take advantage of their positioning, Ghsotwind grinds his teeth when the morningstar hits him and quickly strikes back.
VS the smaller spriggan:

Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Only one of his attacks hitting, though, and causing low damage.
Relzak the Fearless Warrior
The Spriggan Lord ignored Relzak! Time to make him regret that!
Attack+Bless: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 1 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Dodging Panache deed if Relzak is attacked with a melee attack: his AC increases by 3 points, and he moves one square to the south.
