Gazigaz follows the others taking out his pistol

"Gree! We need to help nufriends!"


Rushing in the direction the pahtra pointed, you come around the corner of a stall and see something almost unbelievable! A suit of black, spiked armor is moving around all on its own! After smashing several displays, it slams the stall's vesk proprietor to the ground and then looms over her, pointing its integrated pistol right at her head!

This encounter is on Slide # 2 in the Maps & Handouts link. Please add a token for your PC starting in the lower left portion of the map as you come around the corner of a stall. The animated suit of armor is the black-bordered token in the center, while the other token is the fallen vesk.

"He you ... armor. Leave that Vesk alone. Find someone your own size! Get it nufriends!"

But the shoot flies in the air as Gazigaz for a moment has a surprise drawn on his face

The headless suit of armor blasts the prone vesk into unconsciousness and then slowly turns in your direction!

The vesk isn't dead, but is bleeding and will die in three rounds if not stabilized with magic or a Medicine (First Aid) check.

Stra-der moves around the stand as she draws her singing disk and then throws it at the armor In second range increment

Attack: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 9 - 2 = 21
damage if hit: 1d4 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12


The fallen vesk's wounds close up instantly when they hear Dakoyo's magical instructions. Quonx sends a stream of liquid fire toward the animated armor, scorching an outer layer but having little real effect. A strange, mildly disturbing music fills the air as Stra-Der hurls a metal desk that slams into the animated armor, leaving a crack in its abdomen plate!

Quonx's attack hit and did a little damage, but there's clearly some resistance to fire at work. Stra-Der's attack hit and did solid damage.

Quonx:
Fascinating! The fallen vesk is obviously an armorer, and this is her armor stall. Somehow, a suit of her Hellknight Lictor Plate has been magically animated! The armor is obviously mindless and unliving, but has been strengthened to partially resist fire and cold attacks. It's a dangerous foe, so don't get too close!

As a swift action Stra-der recalls her disk to her hand and runs forward, smacking it with her disk in melee.

Quonx's rifle misfires as she tries to get more power from it, but Stra-Der makes another resounding CRACK! in the animated armor's torso section.

"Go down! Go down!" yells excited Gazigaz


Gazigaz shoots again, but can't score a meaningful hit on the dense metal that the menace is composed of.


The armor's pistol retracts, a metal gauntlet squeezes into a fist, and a deadly backhand comes whirling for Stra-Der's face! Bystanders cry out in horror as the strike connects.

The attack hits. Stra-Der, you take 16 B.

The animated armor's tactics are to attack whoever is dealing the most damage to it, so that's why it's coming after Stra-Der again.

Dakoyo's attack *just* missed, but one of Stra-Der's gets through.

The animated armor is relentless as it launches another punishing blow towards Stra-Der. But this time, the skittermander is able to duck another it!

Quonx has to pull her shot at the last second to avoid hitting Stra-Der, and Stra-Der's swing is thrown off as she instinctively flinches when a laser blast flies right over her ear!

Quonx's attack missed due to soft cover, and both of Stra-der's attacks missed.

Keep at it guys! You've knocked this thing under half its starting hit points.

Dakoyo tries to distract the animated armor, but it retains a singular focus on Stra-Der!

That was a nice idea--just didn't quite make it.

Sparking tendrils of lightning play over the surface of the armor as a well-placed shot from Gazigaz continues to weaken the mindless foe. But implacably, it continues wailing away at Stra-Der!

Gazigaz's shot hit and did full damage. The attack against Stra-Der hits for 14 B. She's absorbing a lot of damage, but giving as good as she gets!

remembering get ‘em this time

”Stop. Hurting. My. Nufriends!”. Stra-Der punctuates her words with attacks. Some don’t count mechanically as attacks

Attack vs EAC1: 1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 10 - 4 = 8
Damage if hit: 1d4 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12 So

Attack vs EAC2: 1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 10 - 4 = 16
Damage if hit: 1d4 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12 So


Dakoyo runs circles around the armor, and this time it spins around to follow him and cuffs him on the back of the head with its gauntlet. A mystical feedback from a protective spell surges through the armor, damaging it severely! Meanwhile, Stra-Der continues trying to smash the armor into pieces, but just can't find a weak spot.

Ah, I understand now, Dakoyo--I thought earlier you meant running in circles as just flavor to explain the aid another. It takes an AoO and hits. You still take 16 B, but it takes 10 force damage (and fails the Reflex save to halve that).

Stra-Der's attacks both missed (the second one was *so* close!).

Quonx is up.
