Could we speed up the process of reading through the papers by dividing them roughly evenly? e.g. if all of us pitch in, it'll only take a bit less then 2 minutes?

Hjálmarr Magnusson |

Hjalmarr would probably have had a dwarven waraxe and small steel shield. Are those acceptable?

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

Apparently, there is already a walking stick like weapon, the Hanbo. So I guess that's what Sophia has.

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

Kinda want to see if Bladud and Aelwulf have been doing things before checking vs that bluff but they also haven't posted in some time...

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

Still in it for the long run.

Ivy Solikha |

I'm still here. I think we might have lost a few other players though. Bladud for instance has been MIA for the last 3 weeks or so.

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

I would be fine to keep playing even if we drop to that. Though, if it's absolutely needed, then groups could merge, couldn't they? Hopefully it doesn't come to that, just spitballing here.

Razmir F |

I think we can handle it if Bladud is no longer playing. Looking at the person's other games, it seems his last posts were about 3 weeks ago. Hopefully all is well with the player. As long as our other melee inclined players are still with us, we will be fine.

Hjálmarr Magnusson |

Should hopefully just be this week. I was without power from Monday through Today in the middle of a winter storm, so my mind was on other things.

Razmir F |

Is anyone able to create a google doc for loot? Unfortunately, I'm blocked at work.
Everyone who wants a long sword, longbow, arrows, chain shirt, and heavy metal shield should claim one and put on character sheet.
This appears to be most of the things we have found so far including who has the item if I could tell.

There's too much for us to carry it all. I've made a few comments on what I think we should do with various items. Any item with : is holding the items listed under it since I can't use tab.

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

The only things Sophia would want are the expensive things like the ring and the lute, so if anyone wants to claim them or put them in party funds to sell, I'm good for it. She already got a set of fine clothes and a different ring.
Didn't we divy up the scrolls earlier? I don't remember and I'm in a time crunch. Dibs on Sleep if we haven't.
I can make a Docs sheet later, if you haven't already.

Razmir F |

If there is a door to every wall tower, we should enter 6a to eliminate the guards in that section of the tower before moving on to the warden's tower.
This is rhe first time I've played a summoner and have a question on what happens to items carried by my eidelon when I dismiss it. Does he have everything still when I call him back? I was thinking of having him hold the lockbox.

Ivy Solikha |

The rules are not actually clear what happens to an Eidolon's held items.
JJ believes that any items held by the Eidolon go with it, and then 'materialize' when the Eidolon is summoned again. On the other hand, the rules state that the Eidolon is treated 'as a summoned creature' (except for the differences called out in its description) which would mean that it wouldn't be able to take anything with it.
Its going to be a GM call either way

Razmir F |

While we're exploring the tower, I think we need to discuss our next step. Sophia mentioned placing the window in the tower to get to the wall, but as I understand it, there is no way from the wall to the gate house. Unless we are able to remove the window and use it multiple times, I don't see how using it here helps us.

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

It doesn't seem like it'll be much of a problem. Fighting on the walls means we're not getting pelted by 20+ arrows a round, which is the biggest factor, I feel. Plus, it looks like the top of the guard house is set with merlons, which means with rope we can climb up there (GM confirm?) Or, we can choose to fight our way down one of the towers. With a wall taken care of, things should be a lot easier.
I was also under the impression the window was of one time use.

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

If the roof of the Warden's Tower is like that, too, it would make more sense to fight from there for a short time and use the window to get into the guardhouse. That way we don't have to worry about climbing up. I completely missed that the top of the tower was open air.

Razmir F |

Is there a way to get to the roof of the Warden's tower from inside the tower?

Ivy Solikha |

On balance, I don't mind when we use the window, but I'd prefer to avoid being pelted with arrows if at all possible. For a brief moment, I wondered if we could dress up as guards and make a break for the gatehouse being 'chased' by the ogre (we know the password after all) but this might be a little too convoluted or complex.

Razmir F |

I was actually thinking of using that to get across the bridge from the gatehouse to the mainland portcullis. I think that is where we need the password. That could make for a long run if we are getting shot at.

With everyone from every team having overcome the struggles of the prison, escaping your bonds, recovering your weapons and then your magic to return to full strength, I am giving out the final boon from the prison.
This one is a permanent boon, as in it won't disappear once you leave the prison like the reroll and temporary hitpoint boon (which some of you still have).
Villain Points
This will function in all ways like the hero point system. You now have 1 point and will gain another everytime you level up, up to the max of 3.

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

Ivy: Glad to have you back! Everything alright? No details needed, just expressing concern.
GM: Huzzah Hero Villain Points! That's fantastic. Where are the others at now in the scenario?

Razmir F |

Not a problem. In that case I won't cast infernal healing but given that continuing to fire at the guards would probably lead to me getting hit more than them, I'll still hide behind the wall so we can finish this fight.

Cardinal A. Thorn |

1 update per week is not ideal everyone.
If you are interested in playing this game please post more often (weekends excepted). If you're just not having fun or the slow rate of others is getting you down but you really want to play then please hang in there and I'll see what we can do after you escape the prison.

Razmir F |

I think we have 3 options for entering the gatehouse:
1. Use the window from the top of the wall.
2. Use the window from ground level.
3. Bashing in the door of 3b from ground level.
Option 1 probably involves taking the least amount of arrow fire while option 3 probably has slightly more than option 2 since it will take time to get through the door.
If we do 2 or 3, we should take out the guards on the other side of the wall first. Then we can go back through the great hall to shorten the walk to the gatehouse.
I think we should do option 3 as it leaves us the window to use to get into 1. Mainland portcullis.
The group needs to come back to the warden's tower in any case to retrieve the stong box and alchemists lab.

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

I'd like to stick to using the window from up here. There's only a few guards above the building, so any fight we do after the first one won't likely be with enemies at our back.

Razmir F |

I know I need some healing before the next attack. Where are our NPCs at with hit points?

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

If Aelwulf has any channels left, it would be prudent to use them, I feel. I can't recall how many he's used and I'm not in a position to look it up unfortunately.
That said, battle plan of approaching the wall and affixing the window to it from under the cover of MVP Table. Sophia can use that scroll of Sleep on anyone inside to get an edge, if nobody minds. We do still have a barrel of oil carried by Razmir's summon, which could come in handy somewhere for either causing damage or causing a blockade. Or both!
Scroll of invisibility on Grumblejack would be hilarious. We could also use it on him and let him carry the table from one side, thus ensuring more space underneath it and he wouldn't get hit by any arrows because who can see him?
Thoughts?
