Hi everyone :)
Ivy is also updated GM with your fixes. I should be good to go!

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

Still very excited!

Bladud |

Noice! Looking forward to this, gang!
@Bladud - as a fiendish vessel my channel will heal evil creatures although only for 1d4 instead of the usual 1d6.
Oh, very cool. I think I'll still pick up a few self-heals; they just also won't be huge. But hopefully it'll be enough in clutch situations.

Bladud |

So it looks like we don't have a Survivalist in the group. I'll keep ranks in that as we level. He'll never be amazing at it (Wisdom 10), but it's a class skill, so he'll be decent if I keep at it.
... no idea if this campaign calls for it, but I'm trying to pull my (considerable) weight. :D

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

Sophia's backstory and crunch plans have been added to her profile.
Sophia could be good at tracking. 3rd level she gets an Investigator talent and one of them lets her use Sense Motive to track. It wasn't something I planned on taking, but it's an option in the future.

All I am busy for the afternoon and going out to see a movie tonight, I will post to officially start the gameplay (introductions in the prison) when I get home probably in around 8 hours. Then we can get started while the last few finish their character sheets (just Razmir left to check here).

Ivy Solikha |

Hey GM - what resources do we have available? Do I have access to my formula book? Extracts? Familiar? Just trying to figure out the stuff I have access to.
With the template adjustment, do you mind our apperance looking a little less monstrous if we so choose? Normally a full Half-Succubus is extremely noticeable but can use the Change Shape ability granted via the template to hide their obvious demon characteristics.

Cardinal A. Thorn |

You have nothing available currently. No familiar, or book or alchemical ingredients to create extracts. You would have your witch prepared spells available, but no material components if a spell required it.
Don't forget the tincture that they forced down your throat that somehow suppresses all magic and magical abilities that you might have (which includes witch spells and wouldn't let you create extracts either), somehow that will have to be overcome also. They believe they've captured some of the worst creatures remaining in Talinguarde and are taking no chances.
It's not looking good for you guys. For now.

Bladud |

SWEEET!
** Rubs hands together in anticipation **
Also, sometimes I like to mix in phrases of other languages (just using Google translate) to add flavor to my characters' speech. I did that here with Draconic. I don't intend to use it for big blocks of non-Common speaking, just for some flair. I used Mongolian (because it looks exotic), but can do whatever.
If people find it annoying, I can drop it. Just fyi. :)

Eh. Don’t sweat it. It makes sense thematically for Bladud, so I’m happy to rank it up.

I think it's fantastic, personally.

Forgot to answer about how templates change how you look. With templates that change your Type, I think there should be some visual indication to that. You guys are all part dragon/fiend/fey so people can tell the differences about you. They could be small differences that become more obvious as you gain abilities. I will leave such to you and roleplay, you can say how monstrous you look.
Is Razmir almost ready?

I'm liking how I've been playing it (gradual awakening of the curse that manifests in times of stress). Let me know if there's any issues with my depictions.

@GM - I missed your PM last night on my phone. So am I ignoring the racial stat bonuses and just start with my raw rolls? When comparing the half-fiend minotaur example to a regular minotaur, they added +4 to 3 stats and +2 to the other 3 just as the template states. Based on that, it seems to indicate you would start with your usual stat adjustments and add the template on top of that. But it's your game so I'll build it how you want it. Let me know.
I'll have to come up with a different version of my name since Razmir is already taken. I'm not feeling very creative this morning yet, lol.

Cardinal A. Thorn |

Yes so I think I may have gotten myself confused. But since we have the precedent of Grengar, a Giant templated Oread with a stacking +2 str from race and +2 str from giant template, I will keep things working that way. Which matches with examples from the bestiary as you have shown.
Hope you are able to post in gameplay soon.

Razmir F |

Took a few minutes before getting ready for work so as to not delay the game longer. After reading the intro, I think I'll just add an initial to my name :)
I'll work on the rest at lunch.

Any roll Sophia can make to figure out anything more about the veil? Assuming it's more than just a veil.

I did a bit of extra work for you guys, to help you see how your party covers all the different skills. To help me check all of your character sheets I created a simple stat sheet template and filled it in with your stats. Simple enough to pull all your skills together into another sheet.
This sheet doesn't account for extra things such as tracking, locating traps, forgeries and other things that are a sub-action of that skill. I have also added the link to the campaign tab.

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

That's a real good list. Thanks, Thorn!

Hjálmarr Magnusson |

Thank you for setting up that chart. That's handy to have/know.
I had some problems with the translation from Herolab to my Paizo profile. They should be fixed now. On that note, Diplomacy should be a +8 not a +7 as I have two ranks in it.
Edit: I'm looking at my Herolab profile again and I'm not clear why it's got me at 14 skill ranks. It should be 12 I think (6 bard + 0 INT) * 2. I've got some hacks in place to add the half-fiend profile, but even if I remove all of those the SW has me at 14. Digging into the why more.
Edit 2: Aha! The Way of the Wicked trait I added adds ranks for my profession soldier that I didn't notice so I'm double counting those (it adds them to adventuring talents and not to background talents). I'll fix it and update in another post with the skill changes. Of particular interest, my profile by sheer luck had the right number of skill points (unlike my herolab profile) as I had 1 rank in Diplomacy and 0 in Spellcraft marked vs 2 and 1 respectively.

Hjálmarr Magnusson |

Ok, the net changes to the spreadsheet are:
-1 rank Bluff for a +3 bonus instead of +7
-1 rank Spellcraft for a +0 bonus instead of +4
+1 rank Diplomacy (it was simply not in the profile) for a +8 bonus instead of +7

Razmir F |

@GM - I will give your questions some thought. I do think I need to tweak my background a bit anyway. As I was going through traits,I realized my understanding of Asmodeus and hell were lacking. It seems devils and demons don't get a long very well. I like the half-balor template but will adjust how I came to be. I think my character will fight against his demon-side.

Hjálmarr Magnusson |

Hopefully that 13 will suffice if I can't take 10. :)

Hjálmarr Magnusson |

I can if we can reroll my initiative higher then it is now. I've used my reroll already.

Razmir F |

Ugh sorry, didn't think about that. I figured that the guard would have a weak will save. We could also make the guard re-roll his save.

"Lady" Sophia Blair |

Guard 2 can also reroll his Will save, as Razmir brought up. That -1 is nasty.
But Grease is funny. So I'm down for either.

Hjálmarr Magnusson |

Nice. That's better then rerolling my init for sure. Do I need to wait to post (after any NPCs)?

Cardinal A. Thorn |

I'm not trying to be mean. Technically Razmir was ahead of Ivy in initiative. So when the Murderous Command was used, the guard rolled its save. Your misfortune hex would happen after Razmir's turn when the guard has already rolled his save therefore it would not be affected by Misfortune.
Face-to-Face it would be easy to say, "hey let me go first and hex him." But maybe as you learn what each other can do some better teamwork will emerge. :)

Ivy Solikha |

Yep no worries GM :)
We still take the horn out of action and I still get to protect Bladud with a Misfortune hex (hopefully!) on the wardens assistant. Either way, I'm still really happy with that result.
