Things may change between now and the start date, that is totally fine!

I tend to prefer in game questions to just use the OOC tags in the gameplay thread so everything is kept in the same place.

But you all are welcome to use this for non-game related discourse or general chat!

Hmm... I'd have to go for blue for my colour. Although, Khellek would probably pick brown. Or maybe black and white, although as a historian, maybe shades of grey would be better.

Damiar and I are still in the same scenario. I checked with the GM and she says we have "two more combat encounters and another brief RP section before we wrap up." We have just started the first of those two combat encounters.

We should know by the 27th if we will finish in time or not. If not, that would still give you a chance to find replacement players.

I think that I will stay out of this gameplay until we have a better idea if the other game will finish in time. I will keep you posted as things progress.

We may very well delay until the 14th since there are a few things up in the air. The holidays have been quite busy for me too.

Let’s wait until the fourth to make any strong decisions and see where the elf sisters are at that point. Officially I will check in to see where everyone stands just after the new year and go from there.

I’ve seen games cruise through combats one a week and also... one in two months, so sometimes it’s hard to know when one could end.

Hrm, I guess my favorite color would be green. Food is a tough one, I like most all foods. I enjoy the outdoors and seasons quite a lot. Ice fishing season, maple syrup making season, gardening season, mushroom foraging season (this one is 4 months long!).

Ice fishing has always sounded fun, never been able to do it yet though.

Gardening is quite rewarding. Hopefully this year I'll be able to get back into it, biggest kiddo is just now old enough to maybe start one with.

I've been mushroom foraging once with my father in law, it was awesome. Hopefully get to go back out soon (we have a spring and fall season here for that).

Favorite color is Orange. I'm partially colorblind and it happens to be a color I can typically differentiate. :-P

Food...Good Calamari (not the stuff I've found within the USA) or my mom's meatloaf recipe.

I love rock climbing and mountain climbing. Sadly the closest suitable mountains to where I live are approximately a 12-16 hour drive.

Fishing is quite enjoyable. I haven't got around to trying out Ice fishing yet either, but would like to do so at some point.

My wife loves doing the gardening thing. I personally never got into it. She specializes in the stuff that can kill you; Belladonna, Mandrake, etc. What types of stuff do you focus on?

We just started the final battle last night. Still resolving the surprise round we got.

I could never get into fishing. The only part of fishing I liked was the part where you eat the catch. I really didn’t like ice fishing, too cold!

I like bicycling. We have a lot of good bike paths around here, didn’t do much this year because the paths tended to be crowded with people. Hopefully I will be able to do some this summer.

I also enjoy Aikido. Once again the pandemic has put a stop to most of that. Tough to do a throw without getting within 6’ of a person. :)

There are so many great foods to choose from, tough to choose a favorite. For me it would probably be pizza. I love a great deep dish, although a lot of places can’t do them correctly. Second choice is a thin crust.

There are some secrets to enjoyable icefishing I've learned over the years:

1. Proper gear to avoid being cold. If you are cold you aren't going to enjoy yourself. (Unless the fishing is OMG good, then you forget about cold and hunger pretty fast.)

2. Good company/food. If you aren't out there strictly for the solitude and chasing monster fish, then good company, food, and warm feet will make anyone have a good time.

3. Action! People that are new to it, or are kids, etc aren't there to chase a state record fish. They just want something to show interest in their jig or bait. Even better: go after panfish like perch. Faster fishing and really tasty to eat. Great to keep kids busy.

Gardening:

I just grow veggies, although this coming year I'm going to attempt to grow mushrooms in my wood chip garden paths and start a small egg laying chicken flock.

Mushrooms:

As far as a spring season I'm assuming you mean morels. Unfortunately for me they aren't in my local area. If they were I could start hunting in late May for those. Mostly I start with chanterelles which around here start popping around July 1. Late season mushrooms are oysters and matsutaki.

*My nephew is colorblind. To him everything is a shade of yellow. My Dad was also a bit colorblind, but not as severely.

Finished leveling her.

Melee attack bonus went from +2 to +6, which means she now at least has a chance of hitting! Not great, but much better than it was. Core rogue, I needed to spend a feat for Weapon Finesse.

She has Trap Spotter.

As a diviner wizard she always acts in surprise rounds.

I've got a door procedure for when we are not rushed going through doors, desks, chests or other things where there are likely to be traps.

Being a worshipper of Desna, her Arcane Bond is a butterfly clasp.

If you haven't been able to log in you will need to clear your cache and cookies. A nice guide was written up by a fellow player for me over on discord. I'll spoiler it here in case you are checking this thread.

Getting Going Again:
You're gonna need to clear your cache and cookies.

If you're not sure how: with the browser open, type Ctrl+Shift+Delete.

With the dialog box open, make sure "cache," "cached images and files," "temp images and files," or something along those lines is selected-- it's different for each browser-- as well as "cookies".

If there's a time range dropdown, make sure to include everything/all.

For best results, close your browser first, open a fresh page, clear the cache/cookies, then close and reopen again.

I think they have a mini black-hole-vortex type phenomena that orbits them.

As hard as it is to believe, there are such things as imitation margarine. I was surprised a few years ago when I came across it. Pretty sure it was a Poppa John’s delivery some of my friends had that included a small container of it.

Looking at the Wiki article it appears there is a minimum fat content that some places require in order to qualify.

That is staggeringly horrible. Not to mention it makes sense. People will always come up with 'imitation x' to save money or make more money. Margarine is terrible, we ate it as kids. My grandmother still calls it 'oleo' and my Mom still eats it. The one redeeming quality for it is its spreadability while cold.

The most interesting Margarine stony I have is that back when it was introduced, the butter lobby managed to convince the government of a few states to require margarine to be dyed pink so it wouldn't be 'confused' as butter. Obviously dying it pink really hurt the ability to sell it.

I used to have margarine. My mother bought it for "health reasons". I'll agree with the spreadability benefit, but no way would I go back to it today.

I'll bot him this morning, just haven't gotten around to it yet. I texted him yesterday but sometimes work and home life are crazy, so I figure he's just super busy.

Guidance is a competence bonus so it won't stack with IC for attack rolls, so it's less useful than it could be. I'll probably just have him channel to wipe out most of the damage in the group. Seems like the best use of his abilities and he has 6 of those so using one up doesn't seem that harmful for a bot.

I forgot about Khellic’s IC, sorry. Agree that Channel is the best option, just didn’t feel comfortable suggesting that as a bot since he doesn’t have bot text and it uses a tracked resource.

Now I see why 2.0 focused on reducing the volume of stackable buffs. I went through all the buffs I had to check on types for stacking, and completely forgot/didn't realize that IC gives a bonus vs fear!

Now that I read into IC closely, it has two different bonus types: morale for the bonus to saves, and competence for the bonus to attack and damage. Heroism also gives a morale bonus to saves. Looks like indeed they will not stack.

If I'm incorrect on this I'll be happy to adjust.

In the end it usually comes down to your d20 roll. Good rolls almost always succeed, poor rolls fail, and mediocre rolls depend on the modifiers.

Ahh yes, of course. I don't use heroism that often. IC having two different types of bonus is a bit annoying at times. I think they did it so it would stack with bless for low level characters.

With Ironshanks out... unless anyone took remove fear today? Who would be best to buff for combat with another heorism? Our second dwarf?

Durvak has Remove Fear prepared. I finally made contact with him and while he can't post right now he's good with a bot to cast Remove Fear. If you can get your action in Khellek, I can move us along with that Bot happening to get Ironshanks back in the game before I get busy this evening.

Very glad Durvak had Remove Fear.

Iovo is not front line material. Depending on the foe, she might be able to hold out for a round or two but Chill Touch, lucky critical hit, or (if she gets a flanking opportunity) sneak attack are the only effective ways she can damage this creature.

Fortunately the SR roll was a success and you only have to check once.

I had a bad run of luck recently as well. It goes away eventually.

Speaking of which, I believe the IC bonus to damage would affect the hp damage that Iovo does with chill touch, but not the ability damage.

Inspire courage says “a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls.”

Chill Touch says “A touch from your hand, which glows with blue energy, disrupts the life force of living creatures. Each touch channels negative energy that deals 1d6 points of damage.”

That is why I thought that IC would not add to the damage of Chill Touch.
