Yeah, I found a few things I kinda forgot from last game...will be making purchases myself (and buying more healing serums....we kinda did burn through all mine). Should be ready by Sunday evening at the lastest.

Yeah Joe, I remember. You spent at least two on Buddy which he will buy you back, and probably 2 more for future uses :D Unfortunately after creating him he was broke, so as SFS finally started to pay him wage he can buy some things.

I might take this Day Job downtime to make my own healing serums...unless we have any travel involved...in which case I might be able to make them during drift travel....

I know that DebugAMP has a biohack skittermander lvl 2 who tried to get to 2-07 with croaker and Jagrur.

Alternative is Mjolsomething :D he signed up with his skittermander for the last game but dropped as he was still playing something else.

I am happy filling tables, but I find in pbp if I end up with six slow posters it saps my will to live. Mjol is not like that though ;p

Forecast:

the next scenario in this series drops the end of Jan (following the pattern so far).

When this scenario ends I will be running 3-13 Silence at Outpost 634 which drops 30 Dec.

That allows us to finish this scenario, have Xmas off, then get a scenario going whilst we await the next instalment.

@Shifty do you plan to finish the first 3-13 before starting the next scenario in the shimmer stone series?

So simply asking if I play with Buddy the 3-13 will I be able to play him the next step of the series as well?

The idea is to keep the group together, so we will go from 3-13 to Shimmerstone Part 3

Just a heads up, I think Joe will hit level 3 after 3-13. And she gains Skitter Crash (and likely skitter home once I run it). I am not trying to put GM credit on her anymore, but the Skitter scenario's 'fit'.

Also this one Shifty, when it gets reported, it will say I have already gotten credit. Don't have to write GM replay, I took Freeing the Herd as GM credit replay on my pill-bug-of-doom (bolida). For the last game....not certain if it will be GM nova replay on Joe, or on the pill-bug...just depends on which starts first.

I can't wait for the Next Fleeting Truth drops the 30th...and I need to set up it for another group.

As for the forecast, I'm 100% down to carry on with the skitter team! Szama will hit level 3 after this scenario, but she should be will within level range through the end of this series at least. Only thing I need to do is GM Shimmerstone 1 and give the credit to Szama so she can catch up with the rest of the crew on the story.

Yeah, I feel like I should try something else with Buddy. But it could be simply an issue of being a lvl 1. very little SP, HP. Low hit chance etc. etc.

Btw. I haven't written it earlier by Garcon I am glad that your family is fine.

Buddy, I know somebody who has a level 7 or 8 skittermander soldier...they are a whirling blue dervish. It is probably just the level 1 issue with a small creature and such...You know them to Buddy. They ran Night Arch for us ;-)

Mujina, I am still feeling out the Vanguard myself (got a pill-bug of doom borlida that is fun...but that is only because I like doing the bull rush with it...), so I do not know if I have much info to help you with.

It's the L1 problem, they all feel a bit weak. By L2 they get a lot more clout. Was the same in Pathfinder.

Yeah, I heard a story of that story... of that skittermander soldier. I might consider soldier spec and change it to bombard. I will have to reread them.

With regards to Vanguard, I can share what I did with my Half-Orc Vanguard.

- I bought an implant: Dragon gland, wyrmling - it allows for AOE attack as an extraordinary ability which means that it does not cause AOO. The DC is based on your constitution mod which is usually high. It works well vs weaknesses, multiple enemies, swarms and others
- I had trouble finding good feats for my Vanguard so I invested feats into creature companion Yasakaja to be exact. It means you fight with a mount, base speed is way higher allowing to relocate without charging (50 ft for Yasakaja, and this mount has climb speed of 30ft). There is also a cool looking dino that can bull rush as a charge with +4 mod Pachycephalosaurid
- It seems like weaponwise people take taclash to give them reach. All in all entropic strike does not benefit from weapon but you can use 2 features of a weapon. Taclash has plenty, is cheap etc. etc. I hate that fact (that a lot of Vanguards carry the same gear), but here we are.

Going with the mount made my PC focus on Survival which became a skill in season 3 of SFS => my PC is also useful in survival stories and not only combat and walking over the pit of lava ;)

And that would be my all thoughts on the topic. Actually very little about Vanguard himself :D

Yeah, when I first thought of Vanguard I got really excited about various combat maneuvers especially Bullrush with the Add Leverage feat. Sending enemies 15 feet away on a success and potentially even further is great. Then you have Tripping Rush, Spring Attack, etc.

The Gear and Feat boosts on soldiers have some fun stuff to add into it as well as the extra feats, which is why I was thinking of going that way.

Just have Mujina being like this football player pushing all the enemies around and to the ground.
