Oh, totally Rastaf. It's actually quite cruel. The AP rushes you along and yet expects you to open the scroll tube lickity-split. :) Crazy!
Kast, no rush.

Oh! And i’d also suggest we get three more wands of cure light. We are at a high enough level now that getting our HP filled back up from 0ish can take quite a lot of charges, so good to stock up
Kast has already gone through the list and backs Val’s suggestions.
Valena Dalloway Versade |

+1050 gp (selling +1 mithral chain shirt)

-4000 cracked pale green prism ioun stone (she’s picking one that gives a save bonus)
=643.77
If we buy three wands from party funds, that would subtract approx 450 gp from each person’s payout so I will adjust as necessary
With her new armor, she will begin synchronizing with her buckler with eldritch armor instead of her armor. Big AC bump incoming!
Izomandakus |
Like Valena's suggestions. Izomandakus will hold one of the new healing wands until the one of the others are depleted.
Izomandakus will buy the lenses he commissioned a few chapters ago.

Yeah, let's do this. Kast is already rocking it. It's the armor that puts the halo in halography.
Rastaf of Sarenrae |
I suggest that everybody buy a wand of CLW, even if you can't use it yourself. We can just presume that when you get those multi-round cures, Rastaf or someone can do it for you, and you can mark it off your own character sheet, just for ease of bookkeeping.
GM Euan - Rise |
No. Usually we do, but no one was suggesting anything so I went ahead and did the split to get us moving again. Easy enough to take it out after.
Just let me know if you decide to get five wands (750gp ea) or three wands (450gp ea).
Kast Phaer |
Stick with 3 for now imo. We still have a fair number of charges leftover
Agreed, and we're nearby a source of more if we need more of them.

I should have posted this earlier but got distracted with purchases. I agree, three wands are plenty.
Seamus Passeri |
These are the numbers on Seamus purchases: 25,119 gp. - 450 gp each for wands equals 24,669 gp. to each person to spend. Seamus sold his + 2 mithril shirt for 2,550 gp. Ring of minor fire resistance for 6,000 gp. and Hat of Disguise for 900 gp. HE purchased the celestial armor for 22,400 gp paid for a Belt of Incredible Dexterity upgrade to + 4, for 12,000 gp.
The math: 560.9 gp. + 24,669 gp. + 2,550 gp. + 6,000 gp. + 900 gp. = 34, 679.9 gp. - 22,400 gp. - 12,000 gp. = 279.9 gp. remaining
Seamus Passeri |
... Seamus, you’ve had to leave your belt behind for the time being.
Well, that kind of sucks. That's why I asked in Slack Thursday morning "Any chance we'll be in Magnimar long enough to get his Belt of Incredible Dexterity upgraded?"
So how soon till he can pick it up?
Do I interpret properly, in game we're planning on going back to the library or are we going into the pit?
GM Euan - Rise |
Yeah, I saw the question and mentioned it might be two days before you go back in the pit (though that would surprise me) as that's what Kast has suggested. If you want to stay in Magnimar until it's done that's fine too.
It'll be three days until the belt is ready. I've noted it on the calendar as a reminder.
I don't know what the party is doing next either, so I can't help you there. :)
GM Euan - Rise |
Sure thing. You can always spend more and buy it outright, instead of upgrading.

don't have that kind of cash with the new armor. had two sell a ring and hat to be able to afford the upgrade.
might just hold off on all the purchases, just need to put Seamus' sheet back. I'm off to Columbus for my oldest daughters birthday party, may have to wait until monday.
Izomandakus |

I already spent a lot of time adjusting Izomandakus sheet with new spells learnt tonight and I do not welcome undoing the changes now and redoing the spell list with what was there last week to go down tonight.
It takes a lot of time to deal with a prepared spellcaster at this level and the back and forth is stealing me time I don't have to commit.
Izomandakus would have certainly jumped first opportunity on this adventure, but at this point I will just say, no go, only to avoid extra work on myself.
Sorry people.

I'm fine coasting a bit on your spells rather than change the narrative. I'll not make you jump through hoops. If you go tonight it's with a full rack of spells.
You had all afternoon (from 2pm to 6pm at least) to do the scribing anyway.
So if you want to skip it and go in the morning, that's fine, but if you want to go the night before with some of the others, that's fine too. :)

Seamus Passeri |
You awaken in a narrow alley seated against a doorway like you had just napped there a moment. The alley is shadow filled, but there is some light ahead on what looks like it may be a main boulevard.
How would he be dressed? All the gear, or just sort of normal cloths, would he have his lute?
GM Euan - Rise |
Go ahead and describe what you do in character, and I'll let you know in-game. It's all new and fresh to you in some ways, so I want to do it there. :)
Rastaf of Sarenrae |
I think the returning dagger would be a great addition to any character who can do extra damage with it. Great back up when you can't use your main weapon.
Rastaf just wants the diamond dust. You never know when you'll need it.
In fact, if Seamus is still down a level and needs 1000gp worth, it's a much cheaper fix, now.
I loved the 2 clerics going at it with falchions. Brutal! :)
GM Euan - Rise |

There's two packets of diamond dust and two players asking for it.
How about Rastaf gets the 1,500gp packet and Izomandakus the 750gp packet? Easy for me to track that way, and you each get a little. :) You can always buy as much as you want in Magnimar too if you want more.
GM Euan - Rise |
Rastaf - keep the 1,500gp in diamond dust. Breath of Life is just a temporary negative level. So I think Seamus is OK.

He’s got a ranger level too after it. The “being down a level” Euan and I were talking about was the temp negative level from Breath of Life

With the death of the dragon it is time to…
Level Up!
I do believe you should now be level 14.
Please note the things that have changed or been added, and put it all in a spoiler so those who don't want to know your build can remain in the dark. For those of you with character sheets off site, please send me your updated sheets for reference if applicable. If it's the 'same' sheet, no need, just let me know when you're done updating it so I can give a once over. Thanks.
You gain all of your new abilities right away, including new spells and the like. However, you do not regain what you’ve already used/cast for today. It’s not a rest exactly, just a gain.
Each level I’ll be examining your characters for sins and virtues that you might exemplify for that level. Just things that struck me as, well, perhaps a little heroic, or selfish as the case may be. There is no specific gain or loss for this tracking until very late in the game, and then it’s more a question of how you’re treated. So having a lot of any particular virtue or sin shouldn’t concern you, or even give you hope.
Wrath to Izomandakus for disintigrating the ancient dragon setting up its demise.
Zeal to Kast for ensuring what the party has learned is learned by another, namely Brodert Quink.
Wrath to Rastaf for hanging tough in the tunnel with the Scribbler, one priest to another for the most part. A fight of the gods! Special mention for the yeth hound battle, “Let them run into a wall of death.“
Love to Valena for her little speech about how she trusts the party in the face of the Sheriff trying to enter the sinkhole.
Wrath to Seamus for finally remembering he has a second attack, and putting the hammer down in several of the fights with his precision! Special mention for “I am not the salami!“
He doesn’t get anything, but special mention to the Sheriff for going into the sinkhole at 3rd level and facing all that s#$+ with the party - and all without dying, again, or running away.
If you feel I’ve missed something - not captured some event more significant than the one I have - please let me know. This is pretty subjective, and I’m not always grabbing something obvious, but it’ll help me keep on the lookout for things I might have otherwise missed. And of course I’ve made mistakes in the past. :)
