Kast gives Seamus a look, wondering if they hadn’t just spent a bunch of time in a swampy canoe together.

”Well, this much more angry haunted swamp then a forest, and so I tend to agree with you, but if the fey are dead, and the area is completely corrupt then fire might be the best option.”

lol, my bad "Start a swamp fire in the middle of a swamp" doesn't roll off the tongue like 'forest fire' :)

Level Up!

I do believe you should now be level 11.

Please note the things that have changed or been added, and put it all in a spoiler so those who don't want to know your build can remain in the dark. For those of you with character sheets off site, please send me your updated sheets for reference if applicable. If it's the 'same' sheet, no need, just let me know when you're done updating it so I can give a once over. Thanks.

You gain all of your new abilities right away, including new spells and the like. However, you do not regain what you’ve already used/cast for today. It’s not a rest exactly, just a gain.

Each level I’ll be examining your characters for sins and virtues that you might exemplify for that level. Just things that struck me as, well, perhaps a little heroic, or selfish as the case may be. There is no specific gain or loss for this tracking until very late in the game, and then it’s more a question of how you’re treated. So having a lot of any particular virtue or sin shouldn’t concern you, or even give you hope.

- Greed for Izomandakus taking the poor giants spellbook - leaving him with nothing!

- Kindness to Kast for not rubbing it in as he handled the mountain with ease (thanks to endure elements and air walk among other things).

- Generosity to Valena for sacrificing a level to power the Skull's Crossing Dam and for buying boats.

- Kindness to Seamus for being willing to set a Pit Fiend loose on the world for the service it already rendered for the region.

If you feel I’ve missed something - not captured some event more significant than the one I have - please let me know. This is pretty subjective, and I’m not always grabbing something obvious, but it’ll help me keep on the lookout for things I might have otherwise missed.

In terms of group items, his scroll of remove blindness replaced, along with a few scrolls of heal and 2 of restoration and 2 of break enchantment.

Val, you track the wands, do we need more?

The esoteric knight can forgo 1 point of enhancement bonus per ability to instead grant the benefit of the glamered, shadow, or slick armor special abilities.

Each day when regaining spell slots, the esoteric knight can adjust these benefits and can transfer them to a different armor or shield; the benefits cease to function if the esoteric knight is not wearing the armor or wielding the shield.

I'm with Kast I don't think this really happened either. The only thing that sticks out in my mind was Seamus playing his lute for the people of Turtleback Ferry. Then, here lately, totally forgetting to thank/repay Kast for healing his blindness.

Hey Rastaf, I appreciate your desire to get Seamus healed up. Val also has a wand, if she uses it in the 7th and 8th rounds then we can all double move in the 9th and 10th, instead of Izomandakus and Val getting there way before Rastaf and Seamus.

I'd recommend not deciding what your doing in further rounds, until we know what other folks are doing.

Level Up!

I do believe you should now be level 12. It’s slightly early, but I always found it weird to level up in the middle of an adventuring day. This also gives you a certain amount of flexibility to plan your next steps.

Zeal to Izomandakus for teleporting the party all over the region to speed their response to the giants, gather gear in Magnimar, etc.
Zeal to Kast for his never-ending hope that the establishment will have a good solution to the problems of the region. There were other things too, but this always makes me chuckle.
Charity to Rastaf for giving generously of his healing (to NPCs as well as PCs), his Wind Walk, and of course the freakin' Raise Dead! I've played a number of healers and have never used that spell in a campaign that I can recall.
Generosity to Valena for paying to raise the Sheriff.
Generosity to Seamus for paying to raise the Sheriff.

I have, but only on PCs. This is a first, but I love it. I haven't played a lot of clerics.

Seamus's concern for him was obvious to Rastaf. That was enough.
There are clerics who would charge for casting that spell. Rastaf thinks that's blasphemous.
Why wouldn't you raise a good person when someone hands you the diamond to do it?

Rastaf never met the sheriff until he got here. The advantage to us is that he's not dead, and still has all the knowledge and connections he had when he died, and Warren is still #2. Sandpoint isn't too fundamentally different, as a result.

Rastaf's efforts to heal and console were good, but not great. Some people just don't like half orcs, and he's used to that.

He's never pulled the "You're alive because of me!" card, and he never will.

He just gets respect, and people listen to him when he bothers to speak.

It'll be a couple days, but he'll be leveled.

yep, I play Ting, did you just figure that out :)

It looks like a tornado crossed the northern part of our county, knocked out power for 15,000 or so. Probably won't get power back till tomorrow. My wife had to check on her mom so I brought the laptop along.

I'm on my wife's laptop instead of my desktop, so I don't have any of my sticky notes or quick info. I don't want to leave combat hanging but I'm going to keep it simple first round and try to move behind the 'mummy' As soon as my power is back I'll move on the map.

The electric company is telling folks they should have everyone’s power back by Friday. So I am using my wife’s work laptop to post from my mother-in-laws house. All of my documents and such are on my desk top at home, so I apologize if the posts are a little simplistic. I’m trying to squeeze what I normally take all day to do in a couple of hours.

Val I almost wish you had let him be paralyzed so I wouldn't have to worry about combat for a couple of days. My wife and the moms are watching "The Last Holiday" So I have about an hour to calculate an attack.
