So if he makes the save the next round can he attack?

Shaking his head, Usawoti looks at Torsten, "I can't attack her for some reason." Realizing he'd not placed his blessing on his friend he reaches over to do so. "അനുഗ്രഹം" Placing his hand on his friends shoulder as he speaks the blessing, he nods, "Now I'll be able to heal you better if it comes to it."

Blessing grants a +1 bonus to all saving throws, and permits Usawoti to use heal if needed

Seeing the large Mantis, Usawoti look up at the armored aasimar asking, "Really? More Bugs?" Turning back towards the giant mantis, he feints at the large bugs head with the hammer, then arches it back around at the things body, then attacks with the Klar as well.

As it turned out, tripping or even forcing a large mantis was not exactly easy. The dwarf, however, had much better luck in simply punching his hands through the creature's carapace. Once his arms were inside, he ripped them out, causing the creature to split into two pieces. The beast's insides covered the dwarf, whose tattoos immediately went to work cleaning off the gore and viscera. Turning back to the flying aasimar, he pointed at her and said "Come down and dance, aye? Nay reason to be afraid."


Torsten: Unless you have reach, the mantises won't trigger your counterpunch. Don't forget that you can select multiple triggers, so make sure to specify. XD

Usawoti: Without the 'Unlikely Feint' talent, you can't feint mindless creatures, unfortunately.

Usawoti begins pounding away at the mantis that struck him while Torsten rips his own opponent to shreds. In response to the dwarf's taunt, the aasimar conjures a curtain of blades that threatens to slice the two of you to ribbons. (attacking the aasimar no longer requires a Will save)

Torsten nimbly avoided the summoned blades and went straight for the last mantis. Going for the huge crack in it's shell from Usatwoit's hammer, he exploited the opening to literally break it apart.

"I can't reach her." He said, as he went about the grisly business. "Teach her a lesson, lad."

Seeing the blades swirling his way as the giant mantis hovers over him, Usawoti evades the blades as Torsten destroys the giant bug. As the dwarf tells him to destroy the woman, he chuckles, it had been years since anyoe regularly referred to him as 'lad' but somehow it seemed like a term of endearment from his new found friend.

Taking Torsten's recommendation to heart, he studies the woman for a moment then points his hammer filled fist towards the floating woman, telling the bone ring "വിനാശകരമായ സ്ഫോടനം, സ്പെൽ പോയിന്റ്," The black ray blasts towards the woman.

As Torsten annihilates the mantis, Usawoti blasts the aasimar with a ray of black energy, causing a great deal of damage. She responds with a bit of healing energy before conjuring a half-dozen more blades with a wave of her hand. These ones rapidly circle around her, making finding a clear shot more difficult (in other words, her AC's higher now).

But remembering all the red-armored assassins they'd killed, he realizes the offer would be in vain. Right before his comrade was about to fire, Torsten chuckled a glob of mantis viscera at the Aasimar. Not so much as to do any damage, but to distract her.

With little else to do, Torsten continued throwing the most vile piece of the mantis at the Aasimar. This time he managed to cover he face with what had the consistency of excrement. Was it heroic? No. Was it sanitary? Certainly not. But he hoped that it would be effective.


The aasimar growls in pain as Usawoti's blast strikes her once more. With a quick wave of her hand, she vanishes - along with all of her blades.

Seeing the amored woman disapear, Usawoti, sheaths his hammer in it's 'frog' on his back. Pulling out a wand with the intent to cure himself with it and save his magic for the enemy. Turning to Torsten he asks, "Do you sense any imminent threats?"

Two moves, sheathing hammer, drawing wand. If we have time he will heal himself.

Torsten shrugged. His clothes were covered in the remnants of battle, but his body had already been cleaned by his tattoos. Which was fortunate, given the utter filth that he had been flinging. "Can't say that I do. But given that the witch teleported away, recalled to a certain spot if I'm right, then I'd wager that this won't stay this way for long. Let's get moving, aye? Before this entire house comes down on our heads."


Where are you heading next? In addition to the door to the north, Boule told you there's a secret tunnel in the south wall that leads directly into the Vault.

"South." Torsten said, after a moment's thought. "She teleported away, so if we take our time in the open then it's going to end bad." Moving to the door, he said "Try to close it behind us as best ye can. Hopefully it will throw off their pursuit."

Nodding in agreement with his companions, Usawoti moves south, tapping himself with the wand as they go.

With a bit of searching, you find the secret door - which leads to a secret stairwell. On the other side, you find a ten-foot-wide hallway. The walls here are set with polished ivory tiles, each of which bears a softly glowing circle of light.

Map's been updated. As you'll see, there are doors at each end of the hall.

Tosten didn’t waste time on words. He surged forward, glad that there was an enemy that he could reach. Knowing that the creature could dominate minds, he pushed himself to end it as soon as possible. If either one of them got dominated then it could prove disastrous…it was a simple plan, really. Barge into it with his shoulder, knocking it into the wall. Then grab it while it was off balance, throw it on the ground and finally stomp on its head until it stopped moving. Easy? He hoped so.


Torsten deals some serious damage to the sahkil - although the creature ignores the sonic damage. It's quick to retaliate with a flurry of strikes with both claw and vine.

Two writing desks are pushed up against the west wall of this room, opposite a freestanding wooden cabinet and an iron door with a window set in it. There's a well-hidden secret door in one wall that leads to a concealed hallway. On the other end, you find several rooms, including an austere bedroom that doesn't appear to have been used in some time, a storage room filled with dozens of organized scrolls, and a clean bedroom that's obviously owned by a militaristic individual. A large landscape painting of Korvosa is the only bit of decoration.

Torsten went about searching the bedroom that appeared to be lived in. He wasn’t sure exactly what he was looking for, but if there was anything in there that might rally the people of the city towards rebellion or that could blackmail someone of importance, he wanted to find it.

”Lets quickly search this place.” He said. ”Grab whatever looks important and then through the secret door we go. Close it behind us, perhaps throw off our pursuers for a bit.”

Sorry about the confusion; I forgot to rehide a portion of the map after revealing the secret room. It's been corrected.

Torsten detects nine individual auras ahead as you proceed through the next door. Giving you time to do any preparations before viewing the map. XD

This grim chamber is outfitted with all manner of torture implements: a rack, several cages, a cramped stockade with spiky bars, and smaller tools of torture like thumbscrews and iron boots sitting on shelves. The western area you enter through seems to serve as a guard post. In addition to three women languishing in cages, the room is filled with multiple Gray Maidens - including a commander. There's also a middle-aged human that Torsten recognizes as Zenobia Zenderholm: priestess of Abadar. All of the Maidens appear prepared for your arrival - they're positioned to cover all three of the entrances to this room.

Not the best rolls. But they are flat footed. So a decent chance of this doing some damage even with less than stellar performance

Torsten was somewhat distracted as he stepped into the room, seeking to manhandle the armored warriors in front of him. The various torture devices, the smell...seeing someone he was familiar with languishing down there, all of it threw him off his game. It wasn't that he didn't want to kill the monsters who were doing this with his bare hands, it was just that being hit with so much horror all at once was quite distracting.

I keep forgetting about the 'Deathwatch' eyes

Relying on the blood red crystal lenses Usawoti looks at the enemies and prisoners to determine what kind of condtion they are in. As he calls on his ability to channel energy, "ഗ്രാൻഡ് ചാനൽ നെഗറ്റീവ് എനർജി കുള്ളനെയും തടവുകാരെയും രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു" Spending additional energy he targets grand channeling at the enemy, preserving the dwarf and the two prisoners.

Following shouted orders from their commander, the remaining Maidens form a shield wall and strike out with well-coordinated blows. The cleric, meanwhile, reveals herself to be hostile, as she calls down a column of divine fire.

Torsten tore through the shield wall, quite literally. In one case he ripped a shield out of a maiden's hands and put it through her helm, and her head. In another case an attempt to disarm a blade led to the warrior bleeding out as her arm was halfway torn out of it's socket. It was a bloody affair. One that a bard would make out to be heroic and glorious, but in reality it was violent, messy, and loud.

When the commander came in she attacked with alacrity and skill. Sadly, for her, the blade, when it did find purchase, was turned away by his runic craft. In turn, he stepped forward and punched her with all of his might in the gut. His fist cracked through the plate, went through her abdomen, and came out the other side. He pulled his hand out, further rupturing her internal organs as he did so.

Torsten obliterates both the commander and the remaining Gray Maiden in a flurry of furious strikes, leaving the area covered in gore. Meanwhile, Usawoti continues to damage the undead priestess. Realizing that she's all alone, she unleashes a vile curse at Torsten.
Torsten, I'll need a DC 20 Will Save to avoid gaining a permanent 50% chance to take no actions each round.
