Seeing the undead creature that Usawoti was fighting twitching on the ground, Torsten walked over and stomped on it's head, ending it's un-life. "Well fought." He said. "Looks like that fooking goblin tried to lead us into a trap. We'll need to assume that whatever else is in here will be ready for us."

1 spell point spent to get lifesense back up

Torsten finishes off the undead, leaving the cavern safe ... for the moment.

What's the plan?

Moving nearer to the bridge, he knelt and examined it for a moment.

Is the pit an illusion also?

Shaking his head, Usawoti turns back towards Torsten, "The bridge is an Illusion." Walking along the edge for a moment, "If the bridge is an illusion where did the goblin go?"

Shaking his head he pointed at the southern part of the cliff, "It looks like about fifteen foot, nearest the wall. We should be able to jump that."

Pacing back into the cave, Usawoti turns and begins to run towards the cliff near the wall, launching into the air to the other side.

Torsten took a small run and then leapt over the pit. Landing on the other side, he muttered "This is why nobody should skip leg day."

The pit is 60ft deep, strewn with sharp rocks, and very real.

The arched ceiling of this vast, crescent-shaped, cathedral-like cavern rises to a height of nearly forty feet, supported by four natural stone columns. These columns are caked with glowing blue swaths of brain-shaped fungi, while a larger section of the stuff grows along the curved wall to the north and east. A total of nine dark openings near the ceiling to the south and west can be reached only by climbing or flight. To the southeast, eight stone benches face a single pulpit that stands before a flight of stairs. The stairs lead up to a worked stone facade that bears a looming carving of an immense mantis, its arms arrayed downward like an archway over a set of double doors.

You can move yourselves as desired, but Torsten's lifesense will *ping* if you advance more than 15ft.

Are we crossing 'brain shaped fungi to get into the room? I assume the alcoves with beds are on the ground floor since there are seven of them instead of nine.

Moving along the western wall, Usawoti stops at the first pillar. Gesturing towards the immense mantis, asking Torsten, "Do you think that has anything to do with warriors in red we've been fighting?"

The map's slightly inaccurate but was the best I could find. Imagine there are nine slightly-smaller alcoves. XD Yes, the blue areas are fungi.

The mantis likely represents Achaekek, god of the Red Mantis assassins.

On the map Torsten is really far back. Is he next to Usawoti and thus in the effect, or is he back there, out of it, but a turn or two away anyways?

If Fort save is needed: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 15 + 2 = 20

And...I screwed up. Realize now that second chance requires an active time sphere talent. What I had planned to do when taking these was to have rapid response up, for +5 initiative, +4 reflex saves and improved uncanny dodge. But I forgot. So:

Finally free, he reached out at one of the assassins, who had just buried his dagger into Torsten's side. He caught the assassin by the throat. The foe's surprise gave way to momentary pain, and then darkness, as the dwarf literally ripped the man's throat out. Not slowing down, he went straight for the next assassin, lashing out with reckless abandon. Even as he pummeled the second assassin, he willed what was left of his magic to flow through his body, healing the most life-threatening of his wounds.

The assassins had their chance, and they had come incredibly close to ending Torsten's life. But close wasn't enough, and the tide had turned.

Bludgeoning Damage and makes her battered: 7 = 7

Grapple as swift action: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (19) + 18 = 37

Without missing a beat, Torsten ran over towards the flying aasimar and leapt into the air. Grabbing onto her, he held on with enough force to leave bruises beneath the armor, he attempted to force her to the ground.

A 15ft vertical leap is normally a DC 60. Just checking to see if either a) I'm wrong about that or b) Torsten has something that reduces it to a DC 20. XD

Shyt, was looking at long jump. I can’t think of anything to get to her. I suppose I’ll just need to do a counter punch then and hope she comes down.

”Can’t reach her.” He muttered to his companion. ”I hope ye can do something.”

Standard action Vital Strike: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (18) + 21 = 39
Good aligned Damage: 3d8 + 20 ⇒ (2, 8, 6) + 20 = 36
Force: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Sonic: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Untyped vs evil: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 6) = 7

Confirm?: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (4) + 21 = 25
Crit?: 6d8 + 40 ⇒ (6, 1, 4, 7, 6, 2) + 40 = 66

Entering the door, Usawoti froze. Looking up at the aasimar, then towards his friend.

YBD any effect from the failed will save?
