"Oh, this?" she nods at the wax golem. "A beautiful piece of craftsmanship. It lives, you know. It thinks it is a Linnorm King." She snaps her fingers at it, but it doesn't respond. "It may be a little tired of my antics," she admits.

"I'll tell you what, I'd usually settle for no less than two, but if it has indeed been stolen, I'd be happy to sell it to you at cost ... just one."

Wait, one what?:
"One soul, of course. What do you think, we're here peddling magical artifacts for gold? Diamonds? We trade souls. I gave up a soul for it, and I at least want that back."

Valryss is genuine in her offer - she will trade a soul for the wax golem. But, she can be persuaded to claim it at a later date.

The character that accepts this offer will receive a special boon on their Chronicle that will not allow your character to be resurrected on death, and your character's eternal soul becomes the property of Valryss.

The first is Bluff (you don't actually know of any trouble that is about to befall), and I'll accept your die roll of (16) for a 22 total (pre-aiding). Anyone who wants to Aid may do so now.
