Diazepane hands Goran a vial with the inscribed words, "A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man."

Diazepane unfurls his wings and hovers a few feet above the surface of the north end of the pool. When everyone is in position, he'll throw a fire bomb marked with a red dot and yell something profane in Draconic. This should draw them out and make flanking a bit easier.

Ruby Phoenix Tournament Games I've Played (Session Tracker)

Ichio vanishes while Kal'Ryon embiggens and Diazepane gains some distance.

The floor of this room sparkles and shines in a hypnotic way, but you are all far too experienced and mentally tough to be swayed by it. The cobras are simple machines so they are also unaffected.

And away we go...

Ichio shows the woman how attacking from invisibility is properly done. All three of his attacks hit and one of them gets something vital in the process. Mylvwara's lion is much less lucky and gets in only one claw strike.

But it is enough to leave the woman teetering on the edge of consciousness. That is, until Diazepane pushes her over. His first bomb misses her but the splash is enough to finish her off.

Red manages to sink its fangs into the Ganzi and pump poison into him.

Then, Kal'Ryon makes his attack. For a moment, it seems that he has missed then, both his mouth and the snake move as though drawn together by chance or Fate and they make contact.

As might be expected given what it's made of, it is difficult to get to anything even remotely vulnerable and, even when one of those spots is hit, much of the damage is blunted.

Valeros manages to hit with both his swords, but only once each.

Mylvwara's lion comes much closer to breaking its own teeth and claws on the snake than it does to doing any damage to its target.

Diazepane's bombs continue to function just fine and the cobra shows cracks and dents after the instafrost melts.

The group is left alone in the room. Well...alone if you don't count the unborn Muckmouths in their eggs around the walls.

When you eventually approach the door, you find this massive iron door is pocked with evenly spaced holes in a roughly square pattern. Mithral rods are placed in a strange pattern in the door, with five other rods lying on the ground in a small stack directly in front of the door.

Diazepane "Toothpick Arms and Low Perception" Ketal will help out if needed, but stand back otherwise.

Ruby Phoenix Tournament Games I've Played (Session Tracker)

Once the lock is opened, the door swings open with impressive ease, a testament to the skill that went into making it those untold centuries ago. Inside is the fetid stench of death stored for years.

Also, a mummy. Everyone gets a bit of deja vu from their last mission, though there is something undeniably different about this one. The tatters of flesh that show through tatters of cloth is distinctly scaly and the largely exposed skull is definitely snakelike in shape.

Ichio, Lion, Kal'Ryon, Diazepane and Valeros DC19 Will Save:
If you fail the save you are paralyzed for 1d4 rounds as waves of despair wash over you.

Shardra and Mylvwara if/when you come within 30' of the mummy:
See spoiler above.

Didn't we do this last time?:

Init Diazepane: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Init Kioshi: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Init Ichio: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Init Kal’Ryon: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Init Mylvwara: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Init Shardra: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Init Mummy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Round 1. The BOLD may act.
I'm going to say it took 3 rounds to decipher what was needed to open the door, do it and open the door, so calculate remaining rounds of any ongoing effects from there.

The lion turns to face the mummy. For a moment it seems ready to pounce but then it seizes up like a rusted spring.
GM, with three rounds, I am going to assume that Mylvwara got Shardra to use her wand of Lesser Restoration to remove her fatigue.

Mylvwara is more alert. She mutters a swift incantation and everyone feels their movements accelerate.
Haste for everybody!

Do you, by any chance, own a paizo t-shirt, a copy of the character folio or one of the other things that gives a re-roll? Because, if you do, now would be a good time...

Still in a dozy reverie at the rear of the party, Shardra appears to be distant, distracted even, by events occuring elsewhere in the spirit world. Shapes blur about her; two figures locked in combat: a cadaverous slow-moving elderly man versus a paunchy orange creature with flyaway hair. The older man appear to have the upper hand but his opponent is summoning foul magics or 'loor-soots' in his defence... Shardra feels her life being absorbed by this ugly yet addictive battle.

"What? Oh, a foul un-dead horror? Ok, I'm back with you - sorry" Shardra snaps back from her thoughts and reaches for a spell to support the group. She calls upon her powers of fast reaction to intercede before the Mummy attacks...activates the boost to init of the heightened reactions spell cast way back in page 1 but her inattentiveness has cost her and she fails to react in time...

after peeking at the DMs Init rolls, a +4 Init boost is not evough to beat the Mummy
