Is Father Walhart stuck in the thing or did it chomp and release?
Tally PBP |
Then please apply Tally's reposition attempt after the chomp.
Tally PBP |
No, you said chomp and release. Tally will drag him away after the chomp and during the release. Or am I misunderstanding?

Walhart stretches his arms out and they become stuck in the printing press. He lets out a yell of pain, and when it releases him, Tally pulls him away, back to safety. His hands are bloodied and bruised, but he thanks the heavens anyway, because it could have gone a lot worse.
He takes a few deep breaths and regains his composure.
"I owe you thanks, my friend," he says to Tally. "I guess something foul came over me, as tends to happen in this profane place."
He steers clear from the printing press now, not even daring to look at it anymore.
Tally PBP |
After they have all retreated from the room and closed the door on the evil contraption, Tally pauses to ask,
"That looks pretty nasty. Can you wiggle those fingers?"
Igar The Terrible |
As Tally opens the door he feels his hand stick to the door and pull off of his body with an unpleasant pop. This sensation passes quickly. Tally, I need a DC 14 Will saving throw or be nauseated for 1d4 rounds. Anyone that succeeds at this Will save earns 1 Clarity Point.
This square room contains nooks at varying heights in the west wall, each containing a candle with an eerie, green-hued flame. Several thin mats cover the floor near the nooks. A narrow archway in the north wall leads into a garden, while doors stand in the east and south walls.

"You OK, Father?"
Father Walhart |
Walhart tries to wiggle his fingers a little. It's a bit of a struggle, but not too bad. When Don heals his hands, the slight clumsiness in his fingers remain, but the pain is gone.
"Good enough, it shouldn't hinder me. Thank you for your concern," he says to Tally. He then turns to Don. "And thank you for your healing. It's nice to have a fellow man of the cloth with me, especially one whose god is so similar to my own."
He moves into the next room, bow at the ready and eyes and ears peeled.

Each candle gives a sickly green glow, and when approached by any creature, goes out with a gasp. As soon as no creature is nearby, it relights with a low sigh. Everyone that witnesses this effect can attempt a DC 12 Knowledge (religion) check. On a success you earn 1 Clarity Point.

While he is waiting for the others to catch up, Tally heads towards the southern door and takes a look through it. He finds it tempting to touch or even take one of the candles, but they are so pathetic he leaves them alone.
May I assume the magic weapon and pale flame spells have petered out? Helping those constructs attach new arms probably took a few minutes.
Tally PBP |
He cast it in the battle with the constructs missing arms. He even hit one of them with it!
Tally PBP |
Finding that uninteresting, Tally heads north into the garden area and begins to check that area out.
"You guys coming?"
Igar The Terrible |
This garden’s many fruit trees are swathed in spider webs. A gravel path meanders from the southern end of the garden to a web-shrouded pergola in a high hedge at the north end. The webs shrouding the pergola block sight. Once you enter the garden, there are no obvious exits, only tangled hedges and towering building walls extending up to a dizzying height The apples and peaches on the trees here have fang-filled mouths. There is a door to what appears to be a garden supply room to your west.
Tally PBP |
"A guy could lose his appetite pretty quickly in here. Fanged fruit? Really? And there there are the webs which means spiders. Probably the doing of that fellow that turned into a swarm. All we need are some snakes to round things off."
Donovan Dale |
Donovan heads over to the tree for a closer look, after hesitating for a moment he will reach out to prod one of the apples with the head of his hammer.
"I don't like this place at all."

This long room contains supplies such as shovels, rakes, and spare bricks and mortar for the garden path. The main door connects to the south garden. There is a secret door to the meditation hall that is obvious from this side. A shiny blade is visible in the rear to the south.
Tally PBP |
"That makes no sense. Why put a secret door there?"
Tally approaches the blade and gives it a look see, ready for the worse. He fully expects it to grow fangs and attack him.
Tally PBP |
"Huh. Weird weapon. Looks like something those easterners would use."
Tally makes no effort to take the thing, leaving that decision to someone else.

Etgar says "I will take point. This way." You head north through the garden. As you move beneath the web bathed fruit trees you are noticed by three of the garden's inhabitants. These pale yellow spiders’ legs protrude on either side, giving them a very distinctive stance. The things are the size of a large dog.

Before you to the north is a wide clearing surrounded by high hedges. It contains a moving sculpture of bronze plates that resembles pages from a book.
