Isabelle, the first faction is free, but you can purchase additional champion faction boons if you want. Pamatea actually did that to come on board with the new First Seeker, Ehu. Since it's Rally's first scenario, you probably picked the faction that you want, anyway, so you probably want to slot Acquisitives.

D'oh! Slides should be good now, and we'll be **officially** kicking off tomorrow... But if you wanted to get a jump on things I wouldn't object ;-)
You'll be starting off back at the Lorespire Complex on Absalom Station in preparation for the selection of the new First Seeker of the Society!

Pamatea's got it as far as the faction champion boons. As to whether you want to get rep with Ehu or Luwazi, it primarily has to do with whether you want ties to the outgoing First Seeker or the new one. (There are also some different boons you could purchase based on your standing with them, but that won't be immediately impactful)

Aggggh. I spent an hour trying to write in my sheet and the site ate it. I hate this so much.

Okay, took a break and worked on my resume and cover letters a little, then came back to this. Sorry about all that... it's been a really stressful few days.

Rally's sheet should be all done, though. If I missed anything, please let me know! ^_^

It has happend to me so many time before when I tried to do updates like that that now I try (when I remember to do so, I still sometimes forget) to do any changes to my profile which are bigger then changing something like current hp's in a word file in which I copy my current thing I want to change, then change it somewhere where the site won't eat it and then copy it back and try to upload it.

Even if the site ends up not posting it I can just go back and copy it again.

It helped me a lot to avoid frustrations like that about loosing 10-15 minutes of work I have to re-do (and hope I get it right again the second time, sometimes I get a real inspired background story which I can't reproduce like I had it the first time around).

I even do control-insert of my forum posts most of the time now before I hit the submit button so I can copy it back in case the site acts up.

No problem at all Kalindlara - sorry if I added some stress to a day that was already fraught!

And yeah **every** post I submit to this site gets copied first.

Except when I forget... and then it inevitably gets eaten -_-

One bit of good news about the Zo! card/coupon though - you can use it on a single purchase at the end of the mission after you've gotten your credits too! I will need to know what it is so I can include it on the chronicle, but the option is there. (In case you'd like to pre-plan an end-of-scenario purchase, you'll be getting 720 credits + Day Job )

Oh - and our table has been passed an Aid Token. For this special once an Aid Token is either used or boosted we'll pass it along to another table - so we'll generally want to keep them moving at a good clip so all the tables can get the most use out of 'em.

The different effects/boosts of the token are here and here; this Token has already had its First Aid boosted by the lovely and talented Flenn Cybertooth

How does one go about boosting an Aid Token? Rally Rose could boost the token's Provide Knowledge check with Engineering or Culture...

Probably going to get some of these. (Putting it here mostly so I don't have to hang onto the tab for two months!) There's not much in the way of weapons or armor she'll be wanting, at least for level 1/level 2 Core items, and I do love armor upgrades.

Boosting isn't any kind of action, so you can always just decide to do it. However, a given Aid Token can only have one boost at a time, so boosting this one would clear the First Aid boost it already has.

Sorry for not keeping up! Yesterday was my birthday and I got kinda caught up in stuff, and forgot to check in before bed.

We maaaaay have a situation where too many of us are standing back. I've played/GMed this one before, and it looks like Charlie is GMing it now based on that aid token, so it would be ideal if Quentin or Rally took the lead here. Or we can come up with a left-hand rule that the GM can follow ("we'll always take the left-most door"), or just let the GM roll randomly.

That works for me too, but uh, someone's gotta.

Or at least throw some dice at maybe getting more information?

I can push more. Quentin is kinda the squishy sort, and I (as a player) am probably the least familiar with the Starfinder narrative, but I will give it a go

It sounds like that'd really help, though feel free to push from the rear - you can make directional decisions without Quentin being the one to face-check every door and trap!

Honestly, with a table of 4 it's hard when 2 of the people are hanging back to make it fun for the others. I know replays and GMing give prior knowledge, but I personally have more fun when everyone is pushing without letting their knowledge get in the way.

It's less fun for me to be directing other PCs. But I will try and make more decisions for the group (which is why I suggested opening the door that turned out to lead to the vacuum of space!)

Just direct yourself, we'll follow (Charlie is more of a follower anyways) ;)

Yeah, it's tricky on how to handle and I don't want to make it difficult! Decisions like whether to kill Datch or bring her in, I can look at what my character thinks and set aside any mechanics I know about. Decisions like which door to open when I the player know that one opens to the vacuum of space are a little trickier.

That said, I know slow posting kills PBP, so I'll try to keep things moving without using too much prior knowledge!

Sorry, I missed all of this discussion going on! I'll try to have Rally take a more exuberant, face-forward role... I'm just, as a person, very used to being shouted down for being "too pushy". So I kinda overcompensate. -_-;

I did update Rally's faction... she doesn't feel nearly as much like an Acquisitive as she did when I first conceived her. (If that sort of change can't be made midscenario like this, that's fine! I'm still learning the ropes here in SFS.)
