it means I have to retake the test in 3 months. I can fail it up to 2 more times before having to petition the state board to retake it. I am still working on getting my 4k hrs supervised that are required and that wont be done til june. SO I can still do my job thankfully, just have to retest in 3 months. SO nothing much changes yet. It will just cost me another 300 bucks to test again. I'm not stressing to much. The test is written to make you fail the first time through.

krokkin got delayed atleast 1 night on vaca cuz they caught covid and had to spend quarantine time. He will most likley be back tomorrow.

Next weekend, 11-12-13th I will be doing my final EMDR training and so most likely will post very little as the training is emotionally draining and runs all day for 3 days.

Hey everyone I am back. Yeah that was an adventure. Had to quarantine for 3 days in Orlando Florida before I could fly home to the west coast. Got in about 1 am this morning. All good though. Well, it's not consistent. Just keep in mind when I'm activating my song. I'll usually say. If it's just my birdy singing, it's a +4. If it's both of us singing, it's a +5.


I'm not sure which way this goes. If I understand things right then when you have two spells that do the same thing, they don't cancel each other the second one merely supersedes the duration of the other with anything remaining active again when the spell "dies"

For example you cannot stack bear's endurance but if under the effects of it and then you have it recast on you it resets the duration.

False life and greater false life gives temp hp.. You can't refill them but if under the effects of 2 of them when one ends the other stays active.

So, I am torn. Does succubus dominate take over? I can't find anything specific for this instance.

Rule of Cool: Its freakin awesome to be dominated to avoid domination. So I will allow it but want to know what the official errata and rules say. Anyone know?

I would just do an opposing caster lvl check vs the dc of the wand. That means she would roll her 1d20+casterlvl (not hd) vs 10+the minimum caster lvl of the spell on the wand+ the minimum spell casting modifier (if we didn’t already have the dc)

I searched around, and can't find anything on this. There's an FAQ for multiple charms but that's 5e d&d, not pathfinder.

Domination seems a more powerful spell/effect than charm monster, our wand, which is technically a first level spell except that it affects any living creature with Charm Person instead of just humanoids.

The text of Dominate person:

You can control the actions of any humanoid creature through a telepathic link that you establish with the subject’s mind.

If you and the subject have a common language, you can generally force the subject to perform as you desire, within the limits of its abilities. If no common language exists, you can communicate only basic commands, such as “Come here,” “Go there,” “Fight,” and “Stand still.” You know what the subject is experiencing, but you do not receive direct sensory input from it, nor can it communicate with you telepathically.

Once you have given a dominated creature a command, it continues to attempt to carry out that command to the exclusion of all other activities except those necessary for day-to-day survival (such as sleeping, eating, and so forth). Because of this limited range of activity, a Sense Motive check against DC 15 (rather than DC 25) can determine that the subject’s behavior is being influenced by an enchantment effect (see the Sense Motive skill description).

Changing your orders or giving a dominated creature a new command is a move action. Subjects resist this control, and any subject forced to take actions against its nature receives a new saving throw with a +2 bonus.

Meanwhile, Charm person says this:

"This charm makes a humanoid creature regard you as its trusted friend and ally (treat the target’s attitude as friendly). If the creature is currently being threatened or attacked by you or your allies, however, it receives a +5 bonus on its saving throw.

The spell does not enable you to control the charmed person as if it were an automaton, but it perceives your words and actions in the most favorable way. You can try to give the subject orders, but you must win an opposed Charisma check to convince it to do anything it wouldn’t ordinarily do. (Retries are not allowed.) An affected creature never obeys suicidal or obviously harmful orders, but it might be convinced that something very dangerous is worth doing. Any act by you or your apparent allies that threatens the charmed person breaks the spell."

Put against eachother

Reading them both, Dominate per dominate person allows the succubus to give Krokkin any order she wants as she has near direct control of him, and he HAS to do it to the best of his ability, but 'if it is against his nature' he gets a second save with a +2 bonus.

Charm person makes him view Brek, as the charmer, as a trusted ally, and he perceives his actions in the most favorable way. Brek, however, explicitely has no control over Krokkin the way the dominate does. So it seems to me that Krokkin would then still attack, but would get the new saving throw with a +2 bonus from dominate as it's against his nature to attack a trusted ally. He probably would get one regardless of the Charm as he's attacking his tribe, which he'd normally never do. I think the oppose charisma check of convincing Krokkin to fight the succubus instead doesn't work here as she can mentally force Krokkin to do what she wants.

However, this might be a moot point for now, as Sorogar prepared a spell just for this...

I also noticed that you posted Sorogar having already cast the spell. First, we don't know if Krokkin has resisted the spell yet. He gets a Will save to completely negate it (unless I missed somewhere he already rolled and failed?).

I can also as an immediate action cast saving grace to give him a reroll. I'd hate to have you lock down your character because of that spell when we might not have to.

Yeah, that is true. Let's say that if Krokkin fails both saves she acts as posted. If not she instead flies forward to attack.

It was a lot of fun. The new form was amazing in its simplicity and high degree of difficulty at the same time. Also got to spar with people outside of my dojo which was also fun. Lots of things were going on there as well including the annual Fireworks demonstration and Rock-a-Billy. All in all it was a great time.

Ohime has a cold iron dagger you could use, Brek.

I'm at 4/20 durable bolts and am going to have to switch to my 45/45 adamantine bolts as I'm out of all others (the durable ones are scattered over the battlefield still lol), but I doubt they'll hurt her. I also only have 7 rounds of bardic song left, which means I have one more burst of music at +5 for 3 rounds after this, or 21 rounds of +4 left with lingering song. I may have to lower it down to +4 so I can draw it out a bit longer as this fight is going to come down to Krokkin and Sorogar.

We need to make you an item that works similar to the theorycraft grimoire, but for sorcerers, Brek!

Thanks, Ohime, and hark for answering some of the questions. I think Ohime's questions on the value of the monster parts and how much special ammunition can be crafted. Also, there is a headband with +2 to two of wis, int and cha. Which stats does it increase?

I looked at Mithral; a batch of 20 mithral arrows would weigh half of a normal one of 20, so 1.5 lbs. The price of mithral ammunition is 500 g per lb normally, so 750 g for 20 arrows. 2500 g worth of mithal would be 66.6 arrows at show price. The same is true if you craft it yourself from the material. 5/1.5 = 3.33333, x 20 = 66.6 arrows.

A fitting numer, I guess, for having fought multiple enemies from the abyss and hell! (unless Herk would rule differently crafts).

For Alchemical silver, no idea. It is a coating applied over other items normally and ammunition is stated as 2 gp cost per 20. So... 7.5 batches of 20 arrows if you had that many?

That aside, lots of good items. Who wants what? We have among other things a +2 con belt, a +2 dex gloves (normally impossible to get), a helm that gives +2 ac vs giants, a +3 heavy shield (technically Sorogar and Krokkin but practially only Krokkin could use it), a monstrous humanoid bane melee martial weapon (I think only Krokkin can use it?), and an Ioun stone with +2 wisdom and blind fight as a bonus feat if slotted into a wayfinder.

Sorogar can only use one of the weapons (She would take a +1 negating warhammer) and potentially the con belt. However, she could also take part of the gold (5k out of the 11 k) and craft a better belt over the next five days (+2 to two physical stats. If making one for herself, she would pick str and con). Everything else she would pass on as she can't make good use of it. Unless someone objects, she would craft the belt.

If someone wants me to make a magical woundrous item or weapon/armor with the remaining gold, let me know? Crafting a wayfinder for the resosance bonus on the +2 wisdom Ioun stone also seems a good idea. That would only cost 250 g and give someone (Krokkin?) the blind fight feat.
