The reforging sounds good if possible, but if it is a straight choice, I'd probably go scimitar for long-term usefulness.

Liberty's Edge

Not sure if it would be possible as there aren’t official rules for it but what’s your position oxnard

Reforging sounds cool, story and rp-wise, but the cold iron material factor concerns me. I would assume that would raise the dc quite high.

I assume that the DC would just be the same as ordinary masterwork, correct?

You just need to be using cold iron as the material?

Yes, after the initial story-line there will be enough time for crafting/downtime stuff to happen, and yes, I'd say that story wise "reforging" a masterwork heirloom weapon would be allowed; I'd have to look at everything real close to figure out exactly how long it would take, but it makes sense.

I guess I'll dot in with the Tengu... never played one before, so should be interesting. And if she dies because she is too squishy, then I have a backup character already made. :)

Just realized I never replied to this. I think you picking this race is rather cool. First of her kind in the area/uniqueness. Tengu are roughly equatable to Kenku in D&D, yes?

I really like how this group, both in-character and out, is shaping up. Feels very much like a table-top group, and I look forward to gaming with you all. (For a long time, I hope!)

I just Googled Kenku and I would say yes from the pics, but really don't know anything else about Kenku, so it is a guess.

And yeah, I think this will be a fun one. It was more relaxed for me because we are all in from the get-go, and I don't have to worry about taking someone's spot or who was going to be chosen. Makes bantering and thinking out loud a lot easier without that "pick me, pick me" thing going on in the background. :)

Liberty's Edge

they are basically Kenku except without the stolen voice thing

In Kesperex (my world) they are a mysterious race that no one knows where they come from, or exactly what it is that they are collectively doing in the world except the Tengu themselves.

What people do know, if that they are often wanderers, and very inquisitive, and into exploring and learning.

Zanbabe/Kazell will get a PM with the secret of the Tengu once she's 100% playing that route.

I'm 100% going Tengu. I already stealth dotted in. :)

Based on what I learn, I might tweak my background, but definitely committed to the character.

Liberty's Edge

I forgot about that, you mentioned it in crown recuritment

Liberty's Edge

Also in that case with current build, I'd be able to reforge with a scroll of Crafters Fortune assuming we can find that

This is joker, what are the names of the two kingdoms?

Both are the Kingdom of Trintz.

(This is because the split was originally a civil war, so both sides claim to be the rightful rulers of the whole).

Because of this, they are colloquially called the East Kingdom and West Kingdom respectively.

East is LG west is CG?

No, East is CG and West is LG.

East (CG) is who is currently occupying/quartering in Barrowdar as the game starts.

Silly question, perhaps, but for flavor: Do the sides have nicknames or distinguishing emblems or crests? i.e. The Redcoats for the British army, or anything like that? Something the common folk use to differentiate them?

Not a stupid question at all, and the answer is that there SHOULD be, but its been so long since I've run in the area that to the extant that I had developed that stuff I've lost/forgotten it and need to put in some work.

Our chairs will come up with something snide once we start playing, I'm sure. ;)

Do they each favor one particular deity, or is it varied?

You never know... they could be awakened chairs. ;)

East (CG) Kingdom worships primarily Jarrett and to lesser extents Erin, Nera, and Attrianna

West (LG) Kingdom worships primarily Pacifa & Recifer, and to lesser extents Hapi, Ge'Shanai, and Therpious.

Technically Phantoms are supposed to be of your alignment but I was thinking it could be interesting to have my phantom support the side I disagree with would it be okay for me to be CG and my phantom to be LG

Yeah, I'm fine with that- seems like an interesting dynamic, particularly in a land where the conflict is between two different sides both of whom are good.

Perfect, sorry about the slowness in getting ready, I wrote a few different backstory but couldn’t find one I was happy with and I like to finish those before finalizing but I think I got one I’m liking now!

One last question before Augustus is finished. Is it alright if he hears the voices of more of his past lives and they channel magic through him when he casts spells (No mechanical difference just a flavor one, it also could help to explain why there aren't verbal and somatic components.)

Assuming that is okay Augustus is finished now. Tomorrow I should be able to wrap up Sǐrén his phantom.
