This is recruitment for this Gameday IX campaign, which will start Sept. 1.
Please provide your character name, class, level, and ancestry in your submission for the lottery. You can also include your familiarity with play-by-post, and second edition (neither will factor into the lottery, but will help me guide you through the game when we get started).

Welcome all. I realized I hadn't said when I would pick players if we have more than six applicants. I'll plan to do that Aug. 24, so everyone has a little time before we actually play.
Sonna (and everyone else), here are a couple links I highly recommend for PBP.
DH's Guide to Play By Post gaming has a lot of the basic mechanics of playing, including how to indicate speech, thoughts, etc.
Building a Better Doomed Hero: Painlord's Advanced Play-by-Post Play is a great guide that gives a lot of other advice for the best experience, especially the Push and Hook, which I can't recommend enough.

Hey, Jacob! I've got an interest in submitting, since I've been thinking I might get more active in PFS2 as an easier way to play remotely these days. But, how would this game be run as part of the Gameday event? Is it still just a traditional play-by-post or will it involve more of a virtual tabletop videoconference kind of thing? I don't have a PF2 character created for PFS yet, but if it works like traditional play-by-post, I'd like to create one and give organized play a try again.

Dropping in my submission for consideration. This is Elien Psirec, a level 1 Lawful Good human investigator of the empiricism methodology from Ustalav. I'm still working on his backstory, but the stat-block is done. I kind of like the idea of him having dual membership in the Pathfinder Society as well as the Esoteric Order of the Palatine Eye. And, he only recently became a Pathfinder in order to support the Vigilant Seal faction, applying his skills to solving mysteries, protecting the innocent, and guarding against evil...particularly in light of the Whispering Tyrant's return. Ultimately, I have plans to take him into a wizard multiclass archetype down the road so he can expand on that mission.

For the others, when you get a chance please fill out the following info. I'll assume this indicates continued interest, so if it's not filled out by Aug. 31, I'm going to assume you do not wish to play.

As for expectations, I'm looking for 5-10 posts per week. That's basically one a day; I know not everyone posts on weekends (I sometimes skip Saturdays) but I figure 5-10 allows for a solid pace. I typically expect anytime I do a general post (i.e. one that's not obviously directed at a certain character) for everyone to post. Even if you don't think your character will be doing something, let me know you're still involved/reading along somehow. In PBP, momentum is key, and each post breeds new posts.
I understand some folks are new to PBP. Please read the links I posted above. They're great guides. If you have questions, please feel free to ask them in the discussion thread. I'm a big fan of PBP and will probably go on longer than you want about it. :) Similarly, for folks still learning 2nd Edition, please do NOT be afraid to ask questions. This is a game, so I want everyone to have fun!

And lastly, I'm actually going to be on vacation Tuesday-Saturday. I'll still likely have access on my phone, so can answer quick questions, but I'm not 100 percent sure. If you don't hear from me in the next few days, though, please don't panic.

I’m also on holiday all this week and posting on my phone. I’ll be back home on Sunday, in time to finish formatting and background on my character profile.
In the mean time, I’ll still be able to answer any further questions you may have.
Also, just so you know, I’m posting from France. So my time zone is GMT +2.

You can look at my aliases — check Rova, who’s probably my beat Second Edition example. That said I don’t know that I love my Second Edition profiles yet... it may be easiest to just download a Paizo pregen and copy that formatting.
As for where to put it, in your Alias there should be an edit button that lets you fill it in. BE CAREFUL — it will frequently time out so I would work in a different document and copy-paste!

Hey GM, just to let you know, Orla has the 'Legacy of the Gorget' general boon slotted. I understand that it'll have some utility in this scenario!
I'll also be slotting my Promotional Service boon (i.e. Paizo Coin Badge) that gives me an additional Hero Point that can be shared with the entire table for the scenario!

Here I am! Nurten is level 1 and has Legacy of the Gorget, so I'll play him. As a 1-glyph GM, I'll toss a Hero Point to Elanna, so less dying can happen.
