This adventure does not start of with a grand journey despite what's written in the players handbook. The first part involves some some goblins in the nearby swamp. You all start out in the rusty dragon, so it might be a good idea to think about how you even up there.
We will not be using caravan rules unless someone strongly objects.
As for relationship rules, we are probably not going to use the simplified version from the player's guide either. I still haven't gotten around to reading ultimate intrigue, so we might use the rules from there, otherwise there's a 3pp supplement specifically for jade regent relationship rules that I'm considering checking out. The last alternative is to just play by ear, which might be best after all... Feel free to post input on this if you have any.

Hey Sigrun would you want Yako and her to have met before/on the way down to Sandpoint along the caravan route?

Yako, I think we can assume you and Sigrun arrived in town together and have been there for a couple of weeks at least?
I did a little research and found a handy caravan routes map on the back cover of Varisia: Birthplace of Legends.
If Yako is coming from Mendev, his likely route would be entering Varisia by the Sklaraki Route. He would switch over to the Yondabakari Route at the headwaters of the river by the same name, and cross the Cinderlands to Kaer Maga. There he would switch to the Dawn Shadow Path to Korvosa.
From Korvosa he would take the Crimson Coast Road to Melfesh, and switch back onto the Yondabakari Route to Magnimar. From Magnimar he would be taking the Kaspakari Route to Sandpoint.
If Sigrun joined the caravan in Korvosa, she and Yako would have been traveling together for about 40 days. So at the beginning of the AP they would have met roughly 2 months ago.

If you're purchasing anything or looking for anything to purchase, please list it and/or post about going to a store to buy it. If you want to ask around for specific things you can roll gather information, but you can also just ask around in general for rumors if you wish.
