Nevermind, I do not see anything to say that variant humans are no long valid. I like him better as a regular human. I just won't be as effective until level 4... :p

I thought that was weird that they would not allow variant humans.

I haven’t had a chance to really go over the AL PG or the book that much so I’ll try to get it this weekend. Then we can decide what we want to do beginning of next week.

No worries. I think we should wait for the upcoming ALCC for guidance on the Secrets. Should be dropping soon.

I chose the Reghed Heir secret. This secret does not give me much, but is the most flavorful for me, as Turq was raised like an orphan...

Anyway, I hope you get to read a bunch this weekend! ^_^ So excited!

Super excited to be playing the Icewind Dale HC! Funny thing is that the new Season rules don't affect my character much at all! I lose a feat and a skill, but get all them ability score bonuses! I'll be able to multi into ranger earlier, but still plan on it at about 7th...

Not yet, but have a Zoom game that looks like to start Season 10 characters in maybe 2 months. We are finishing up the Elmwood trilogy, then have two more modules to go. Then the group is looking to start with Ice Road Trackers...

I just have been champing at the bit, and have two different character ideas already...

well i just picked up Ice road trackers. If we want to start with that and we can go from there. Its the intro module so its based around a brief prologue and 4 1 hr adventures.

We can recruit up and begin with that. Doesnt seem like DMsguild has any other season 10 content just yet though. Oct 17th for the next mod it appears. So we can just run through the Trackers. Break it up as we want if we want to change DMs but since its continuous storyline it would probably be best to keep one DM but shrug.

I didn’t see anything in the season 10 info about special restrictions or allowances on the +1 rules. Is that correct?

Okay, these are the changes. Certain monstrous races are not legal for season 10, BUT race is not a part of PHB +1 anymore. They are up to ALPG v. 10.2 now. They list the races available. (Goblin is not on the list, and I do not know how that works with the cert you have...)

Wow they really did open up the races available this Season.

Yeah, with the removal of the races from PHB +1, there are a lot of options! Kinda want to play the kobold party, but then that would mean that I forego playing Turq... :(

Hmmmmm...could play a chaotic spell caster (like King Bumi in ATLA). Could play a goody two-shoes fighter type. Or maybe a druidic kobold, that would be interesting.

I love fighters, but a kobold ancestral barbarian might be a load of fun... Then again, a swashbuckler or scout rogue... or a college of swords bard... too many ideas...
