I'm a 0.975 sigil GM, then, and the site telling me I have 9 GM credits is then correct, assuming it is flooring my actual number.
Yeah, it will not currently show fractional tables.
They are working on it.

If the DC is 18 and we're averaging modifiers of +10 (that is, on average we need natural 8's to succeed and crit on natural 18's), we're still only going to pass 30% of the challenges. If we need natural 6's to succeed, we're still only passing 55% of the challenges. So if there are 5 challenges and we need to pass 4 of them, we need to get down to the "natural 3's and 4's are in play" level to succeed overall.
If I had to guess, I'd say that the success rate was overestimated and it wasn't intended to be as difficult as it is.

Are you taking into account the fact that a single critical success seems to count as two successes? That makes things a bit easier.

![]() |

Yes, and I counted Critical Failure as -1, which seems to be the most common scheme for skill checks (CF -1, F 0, S +1, CS +2).

![]() |

Herondal isn't trained in any of the skills and Perform won't stretch to Deception for juking and jiving around big hands. Is anyone an expert so he can follow the leader?

![]() |

Astrid is only expert in intimidation and medicine. I would imagine that Quin is expert in crafting. That would get you a +8 to a crafting check.

PFS 2 GM ZD |

Putting on my lawful evil GM hat here.
I do not think follow the expert will work here. Only because it has the exploration trait.
In the GMG, it refers to chases as a special type of encounter.
The silver lining to this is, while reading over the GMG on the DC section. I should have been giving you a quick tidbits on the difficulties on the checks to make informed decisions. With that I will give you the following.
Crafting is the hardest option, followed by deception and the easiest is acrobatics.

![]() |

Kang is also expert in crafting.

![]() |

I've noticed a sharp uptick in the number of posts per day. Are we trying to finish this before Gameday?
I am neutral either way, just wanted to know.

PFS 2 GM ZD |

No. I have just found myself with a lot of free time lately to update. I am "training" someone at work. This person just so happens to be doing really good with the topics, so at this point I am pretty much just making sure nothing bad happens.
If it becomes too fast or unmanageable, we can always slow it back down. But, we are one obstacle and combat encounter away from finishing.

PFS 2 GM ZD |

Final combat.
I will begin working on chronicles. If you have not rolled for the earn income checks, please do so now. And please advise what your proficiency is. Makes determining the amount of money you all get paid in the end.

![]() |

Okay. I think there's a few games that could use a player to fire, so I may ask if they're willing to start a week late or so and could use a recently ressurrected alchemist.

![]() |

Astrid is merely trained in Legal Lore. Checking back, it looks as though I got a 24.

I just noticed that I did Quinoline's downtime wrong earlier.
She starts at 35/70 gp because of the raw materials, so she will add 15 gp of work and be at 50/70 gp at the end of the downtime, not 15/70 gp.

![]() |

Too late to matter but I now remember I have Untrained Improvisation and would have added 3 to that Deception check.
As for day job Herondal used a boon to roll as his level instead of level -2.
Perform Drama Expert level 6 for 8 days and the total roll was 30.

PFS 2 GM ZD |

Fafrd, it looks like you already put laid out what you were going to do when you posted you boons. Did you want to just earn income instead of retraining?

![]() |

I've signed Quinoline up for a Gameday 1-23. I PMed the GM and let them know we're in the last fight but wouldn't make September 1, and they said OK.
The game is trending high tier, which I've heard is really deadly, so, y'know, if anyone needs a real challenge after this yawner of a fight, there are two slots available.

![]() |

I am actually in a game of 1-23 for the game day, else I would join you.
Even though it is repeatable, I think that would be far too confusing for me.

![]() |

I played it at low tier and thought it to be a fun scenario, fun enough that I'm considering GMing 1-09/1-23 as a two-parter. I went to buy it, saw a disproportionately low rating and started reading the comments. Even aside from the Apocalyptic Internet Hyperbole Factor (multiply all outrage by 5-10x), it seems like I should play it at high tier before making plans.
And as usual, Quinoline's my guinea pig to see how bad it could really be. :D She already came into this adventure with a residual shiner from #1-13 (a gold medal 50 hp crit now demoted to silver by Qxal's 56+ hp crit).

So, while browsing the OPF site to see how much it costs to ressurect a dead character for no particular reason at all, I came across the Heroic Intervention boon:
http://www.organizedplayfoundation.org/encyclopedia/pathfinder-2-0-faction- boons/#Heroic_Intervention
Is this a boon that I have to buy between adventures and slot as one of my boons, or is this something I could buy and use whenever I next use a Hero Point?

At first I thought that it worked like a slotless boon and could be used at any time. After reading further I'm not so certain.

PFS 2 GM ZD |

Yes, you have to purchase with fame and then slot it. I have the Envoy's alliance heroic boon on one of my characters.

"• Offer to return all Treasure Bundles looted during the scenario to the Bhopanese survivors."
Not gonna lie, That would not have occurred to Herondal.
Thanks to GM ZD for running.
And to everyone else for the fun games.
I vote Zhao Kang and his awesome cannon skills MVP.
Some crewman is probably mumbling "I did all the work."

![]() |

Yes kudos to Kang. That was pretty incredible. Thanks GM ZD for running both of these scenarios. It was definitely an excellent idea to run them back-to-back.
Thanks to everyone else as well. This was a lot of fun.

Thank you all for an excellent pair of games.
There were some close calls in there, but we pulled it off!
And thank you GM for running these back to back. It is a rarity to get this chance!

GM Earn Income, last 4 days: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Wow, two failures.
As always, it was a pleasure GMing on the boards. It was not my goal to be finished by Gameday, but glad it worked out.
See you all on the boards.

Yeah, that seemed weird to me too. But I guess it's appropriate.

Thanks for running, ZD. The Chronicle looks great.
And thanks to everyone who made it an awesome pair of scenarios. I'm going to put these on my "to GM" list.

Chronicle looks fine.
(Although I wonder when I might want to have an extendable tongue...)
