Blast, I tried to embed an url in the dice and it got rid of my attack. Sorry.
gore attack (counts as cold iron), outflank, power attack (tangling attack, foe is evil-eyed (-2 AC)): 1d20 + 4 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 4 - 1 = 18

Dommer |

Damn I took an ugly, ugly beating! One thing, GM: are these creatures considered giants? Because if they are, then Donnen's AC against them would actually be 26 (via Dwarf defensive training - it's in my header)... Just double checking.
Anyway, about HP: we never updated after the sleep, and I couldn't find any damage taken after that. So, his HP should be 4 higher, at least (1 HP/level) - though to be honest, since we're doing in speed mode, one could imagine we'd be doing crossed heal checks to get everybody more up to speed. I couldn't find any reference to that, so I'll assume Dommer is at 4 HP at this point - which is likely much worse than 0! If the guy saw me attack and drop disabled or something of the sorts, I imagine he'd likely go to try to disable the others before finishing me (versus, doing another monstrous attack at the poor Dwarf and likely kill me outright). But fair is fair. The game had been great and Dommer is very fun to play, but danger and death are part of the game.
Dommer does a step back and flurries with his longbow against the giant. He uses all his resources.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 1 = 11
Attack 1 (Perfect Shot): 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 1 = 12
Attack 2: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 8 + 1 = 10
Attack 3 (Ki Point): 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 1 = 12
... And yet, none of his attacks connect. He seems to be truly shaken from the monstrous attack!
Point blank master - so attacks don't provoke. Precise Shot, Point Blank Shot, etc.; ki point for extra attack, perfect strike as always applied to the first attack of the flurry.

Grenwold Houtvester |

Gren also has defensive training, so if he gets attacked with an AOO his AC is also 4 higher. I forgot to mention that too!

Red WillDC17: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Herman's evil eye does not fully connect with the brute's single-minded focus, but the intensity is enough to momentarily distract it momentarily.
Arthur moves far away from the remaining foe, shield up.
Grenwold weaves a spell unto the creature.
Red RefDC14: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Grenwold moves in to flank the creature, drawing his sword, taking advantage of the monster's distraction to do so safely and hoping his blindness trick worked.
The brute takes a swipe at Ringo on his way in, indicating his one eye still works perfectly.
AoO vs Bambi: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 Miss!
Ringo tangles his antlers within the brute's clothing, slowing it down further and piercing its legs.
Luke walks in casually towards the foe, heaving his sword overhead with practiced ease and bringing it down on the brute's midsection, nearly eviscerating it.
Dommer steps back and pincushions the easy to hit tangled, evil eyed foe! @Dommer please roll dmg for 3 of your attacks.

It’s on/been on his character sheet for his entire playtime. It is a standard gnome ability.
As Dommer said, though, it is only valid for Humanoids with the giant subtype. I don’t know what this thing is (IC or Ooc) but it certainly looks giantish.

Dommer |

Second attack I rolled a 1, so no hit there
Damage: 2d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6, 2) + 3 + 1 = 12
Damage: 2d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4, 4) + 3 + 1 = 12
Is it a giant? Did Dommer take that initial damage?

GM PDK |

The dmg remains so it's not giant; someone with knowledge nature needs to make a check for in-game knowledge
Dommer's arrows bring the large brute down with a crash!
COMBAT OVER!
Assuming you let LUKE CDG both the dying and sleeping brutes; otherwise please raise your hand in protest and I will re-insert the initiative tracker.

Arthur Alaval |

Arthur looks around the area, searching the bodies of the brutes, "I couldn't have taken another hit from those things."

Dommer |

Boys, did I take a beat! These things truly hurt! Any idea of what they are? - says the Dwarf, stepping back and trying to recover his breath.

Grenwold Houtvester |

Grenwold shakes his head, and looks over Dommer. "I have no idea. I've never seen something like them. The creatures we find will undoubtedly become wilder and more powerful as we go deeper into the Fangwood." He says this darkly, concerned.

GM PDK |

GM PDK |

Due to the depredations of the two brutes, the soil and surrounding forest is heavily disturbed, and you are having a hard time finding the trail of the lone hobgoblin you've been tracking.
Perception or Survival check to find tracks please

Grenwold Houtvester |

intelligence: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Grenwold waits for Shaman Vale to start tracking again, ready to aid him.
Aid vale with survival, Gren has +9 to survival with tracking, so he automatically succeeds at the aid attempt.

"Come on you two, let me get you patched up." Vale said as he started to heal their wounds. Once they had been fixed up, Vale started to look around for the trail they had been following.

"Bah. Let's just get moving - enough time's been wasted already today." Herman scowls and shakes his head.
Survival to Aid vs DC 10: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

GM PDK |

Despite all the stomping around done by the brutes, the group amazingly manages to find the trail of the lone hobgoblin woman they have been after for the last two days. After a few more hours of tracking, the group notices that this is getting close to the end of the afternoon or evening as the sun has gone considerably lower. Around that time, Herman and Vale begin to notice several other tracks on the trail they're on... this is a well-worn trail at this point, and many humanoids seem to be using it on a daily basis. The reason why becomes apparent when begin to hear the noises of several hobgoblins and perhaps other creatures up ahead in the distance, beyond the trees.
What do you do?

Grenwold Houtvester |

Grenwold whispers, "shall we stealth up to check out what's going on? It sounds like there's an encampment or something."

Dommer |

Agreed... - Dommer whispers back, looking at his companions as if studying the group - Maybe a couple of us should scout ahead and report.

Dommer |

Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
I assume Dommer is going. Unfortunately, though, my rolls didn't really go too well :(

Grenwold Houtvester |

Grenwold quietly casts a few spells, and then he and Ringo follow Dommer.
Cast feather step on Ringo (40 minute duration), cast shield companion on Ringo (4 hour duration), cast Heightened awareness on self (40 minute duration).
Gren then gestures quickly, and Ringo’s hoof-falls grow quieter.
Switch Ringo to Owl focus. With your permission, I will also request that Grenwold activate it for himself (swift action, supernatural ability) when we get close to wherever we are. If this is not reasonable to you, feel free to ignore the request. When Grenwold uses animal focus on himself, the duration is limited, so as you may expect, I would like to avoid burning my rounds for nothing.
Because we are not in combat, Grenwold/Ringo will take 10 on the stealth/perceptions checks as they approach, if possible. Grenwold stealth 18 (22 if owl focus is permitted), perception 21. Ringo stealth 22, perception 16. If you’d like me to roll for any I will do so! Please let me know here or discord. I apologize if I am assuming I can; you’ve indicated in the past that it was okay.

Ringo the Deer |

Ringo quietly stalks forward with Dommer, Grenwold on his back.
All status lines updated, iirc. Everyone else should make sure theirs reflect their actual conditions too!

GM PDK |

@Grenwold: this is the same day as the meeting with the leshys and the one-eyed brutes fight, if that matters in terms of spells per day. Please confirm you still had those spells available and you didn't use them in the previous encounters. Also, please roll Stealth and Perception as requested. You can take 10 whenever you, the player, initiates an action, but not in reaction to a GM request to roll or when danger is nearby, such as in the case of a large amount of hobgoblins ahead.

Grenwold Houtvester |

Yes, I double checked the timeline prior to using the spells. The only spell that was cast with the brutes was burst of radiance (a second level spell). As a result, prior to coming here - I had used one 2nd level spell and zero 1st level spells, leaving one 2nd level spell available for the day, and four 1st level spells. After these three spells were cast, Grenwold has one 1st level spell and one 2nd level spell available. Per usual, my status line has and will always (unless I make a mistake) reflect the conditions accurately to the best of my ability.
I will make a note of your rule about taking 10 in my profile so that I do not forget.
Grenwold Stealth (add 4 if Owl focus is permitted to be used, per above): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Grenwold Perception, Heightened Awareness: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 9 + 2 = 18
Ringo Stealth, Owl Focus: 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 4 = 27
Ringo Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

GM PDK |

Grenwold begins to cast a series of spells, reciting incantations passed down to him by rangers and hunters and druids alike. @Grenwold: I will assume you start with Feather Step as per the order listed in your post above; @Dommer: is Dommer waiting for Grenwold to complete his spellcasting or jumping into the bushes immediately, heading forward stealthily as soon as he hears the hobgoblins?

Dommer |

Dommer waits as Grenwold casts his spells.
Would my barkskin from the previous combat still be up?

Herman the Reclusive |

Herman crosses his arms. "You're going to get yourselves killed, you know," he grumps under his breath.

GM PDK |

Dommer waits a few moments for Grenwold to cast his spells. As soon as they begin to move towards the noise, Luke and Arthur begin to follow, and Luke steps over a large branch almost immediately. It breaks with a loud CRACK!
In the canopy above, the sound of large warhorn follows!
I may or may not need to roll initiative depending on your very next action... What do you do? you each have a standard and move action; talking is a free action.

"Hold, I have a feeling that the target is the hobgoblins ahead and not us." Vale said looking towards the sound and the direction the hobgoblins were coming from.

Arthur Alaval |

Arthur draws his weapon and shield, but otherwise freezes in place, waiting.

GM PDK |

An arrow lands in the middle of all of you, near Luke's feet. The fletching is hobgoblin-made.

Grenwold Houtvester |

Grenwold looks nervous, but he and Ringo seem determined to try and protect the others.
Grenwold just follows shaman vale and the others, trying to protect them.

GM PDK |

"Zzzzzzzzzzip! zzzzzzzzzzip! zip-zzip-zip-zip! zzzzzzzzzzip-zip!"
Eight more arrows land all around the heroes, some close, some dozens of feet away. Dommer can tell from the sound of them and the nigh perpendicular angle of landing that they've been shot from far away. The noise from the large group of hobgoblins ahead explode into shouts. One very deep voice can be heard above them all, shouting orders in the Goblin tongue.
