Locke speaks Delorn's thoughts, "Don't you suppose that big house with the tower might have been the lodge? I mean, no reason we won't explore the town--some old Pathfinders might've left something behind--but I think that's the place we want to go."
He points up the hill.

You eventually determine that there are very few buildings left standing that would be large enough for a lodge, so you decide to check out the big house with the tower.
A dilapidated wooden house looms on the windy hillside. The empty window frames and doorways reveal the building’s dreary interior. An old tower juts upward from the building’s southwestern corner.

"Do you think they trapped their lodge back in the old days?" he muses. "Not that I can imagine any mechanism build into a wooden structure would survive that long unmaintained."

"Do you think they trapped their lodge back in the old days?" he muses. "Not that I can imagine any mechanism build into a wooden structure would survive that long unmaintained."
Delorn nods at Locke. ”I imagine it would be in the same condition as the rest of it”, he replies. ”Still, we can’t be too careful. The structure itself could be unsound”

![]() |

I don't imagine a lodge would be trapped, but if anything unsavory took up residence in the meantime... perhaps?
The wizard peers into the structure.
Hmm, yes it seems instability is a chief concern here.
He takes one step inside and slams it down a few feet in front of him to test the strength of the floor. He continues to look about for signs of life.
Still searching

"Well, this is rather creepy..." Argoni states as he looks around the dilapidated house. In contrast to the others, he walks forward gingerly, hoping the floors will take his halfling weight before the others test it. He peers at the floors to see where it would be safe to walk.

Most of the lodge’s ceilings are 10 feet tall. The upper levels in the octagonal tower in the southwest have collapsed, leaving a space that is 30 feet tall.
Argoni leads the other Pathfinders into the old building. The floors will hold as long as you don't move too quickly.
The floors of the lodge are rotten; if a PC Strides two or more times during their turn, they must succeed at a DC 12 Reflex save at the end of each Stride or fall prone.
