Moving further into the cargo hold, weapons drawn in case of trouble, you aren’t surprised when two green glowing cubes, come out from behind crates and heads towards you!

Telsix Collective |

Mysticism: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
From before, if it is relevant.
Telsix waits for the oozes to draw closer.
Delay

Aysén Ory |

Aysén sighs and moves forward to jab the red ooze. (photon attunement 1/3)
"Great, who doesn't love punching actual balls of slime? These don't take over my brain, yea?"
Polarity gauntlet: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 To Hit EAC
Electric: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 Damage

Tegrodera Meloidae |

Maintaining his position Tegrodera tries to identify pertinent features about the oozes before administering a boost to either Aysen or Telsix.
Identify: 20 + 11 = 31

GM Sparrowhawk |

Tegrodera, it looks like that wasn’t a dice roll, just 20+11.
Life Science: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
These are assembly oozes. Thought to have been created on the planet Bretheda as a biotechnological replacement for automation processes, assembly oozes are essentially cores of nanobots suspended within blobs of animated protoplasm. As the ooze absorbs raw materials, the nanobots work at the molecular level to turn that matter into a functioning technological device, the blueprints of which have been entered into the machines’ original programming. You know they don’t usually glow green, and that is likely a sign of radioactivity.
I'll wait to see what Teg wants to do, and dare I assume one of you would try to communicate with Sevash to let her know of the situation?

GM Sparrowhawk |

Tegrodera boosts Telsix’s protections with an injection, while Telsix bides their time for the oozes to close.
The blue ooze closes on Tegrodera and swings a pseudopod at him, landing a solid blow.
attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
B&F dmg: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Likewise, red attacks Aysén, but to no avail.
attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
B&F dmg: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
I also need a Fort save from Aysén please.

ectoplasmic barrage v blue: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 for bludgeoning: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4
They use their personal comm unit to radio Sevash. "Come in. There is a disturbance in the cargo hold. Please report to give us assistance."

Tegrodera Meloidae |

Sorry Brian for not clarifying! As a Biohacker I have a class ability where as a Move action I can essentially take 20 on checks to identify a creature.
Hastily applying a biohack to the Telsix Collective (+1 AC for 3 rounds) Tegrodera then takes a guarded-step away, driving to divert the ooze's attention.

Aysén Ory |

Fortitude: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Assuming Aysén suffers no immediate repercussions from the fortitude save, he swings twice at the ooze in front of him. (photon attunement 2/3)
Polarity Gauntlet: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 First Attack to hit EAC

Electric: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Second Attack damage
Electric: 1d3 ⇒ 2 Polarize damage if both attacks hit

GM Sparrowhawk |

Alerted to the danger, Sevash starts making her way to the cargo hold.
Telsix’s magic is able to hit the blue ooze, but not the red.
Tegrodera, I had already done that action for you in the last round, so you have a whole other action you can take if you’d like. Sorry, I forgot about that ability. You know everything. Anything in particular? They are radioactive, have bad reflex saves, are vulnerable to electricity, ooze immunities, and have blindsight.
Aysén connects well with one gauntlet, barely missing with the second.
The blue ooze attacks Tegrodera again, landing a critical blow.
attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
B&F dmg: 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (3, 3) + 8 = 14

Tegrodera Meloidae |

Ugh, completely overlooked that part. I need to read more closely. Will keep it simple and say that Tegrodera applied the AC buff to himself rather than Telsix.
Staggering under the Ooze's blow, Tegrodera attempts to return the damage with his needler pistol before taking another step behind cargo pallets for cover.
Needler: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 for Piercing: 1d4 ⇒ 2 and a -1 to Atk for 6 rounds
"They're Assembly Oozes! Slow reacting and weak to electricity so Aysen you're our best asset. Don't drop any equipment you're fond of near them either!"

Aysén Ory |

Fortitude: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Aysén will release the stellar energy he's built up to burn the ooze in front of him. (photon attunement 3/3)
Fire: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 5) = 19 Supernova DC 13 Reflex save

Telsix Collective |

"Ah, excellent news."
Telsix levels their handcoil at the blue ooze, unleashing a bolt of electricity at it.

Attempting to maintain cover Tegordera fires another needle at Blue.
Needler: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 for Piercing: 1d4 ⇒ 3

GM Sparrowhawk |

Sevash keeps hustling, while Aysén misses and is further damaged by radiation poisoning. He slides down the poison to track to impaired, which then also triggers another Fortitude versus getting radiation sickness, a disease.
Telsix comes to his aid, obliterating the red ooze with an electrical arc, while Tegrodera misses.
Blue ooze seems intent on all the nice medical tech that Tegrodera carries, so attacks again and hits, after moving to a better spot. Not only is Tegrodera hurt badly, but now must also make a Fortitude save.

Tegrodera Meloidae |

Fortitude: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Struggling against his injuries and the encroaching radiation, Tegrodera retreats (guarded step) around the crates and performs a field dressing on his wounds (+3 Stamina Points).
"They're...assembly oozes. They like good tech but not...it's power sources" he pants.

Telsix Collective |

Telsix will try:
explorer hand cannon: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 for electricity: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

GM Sparrowhawk |

Tegordera bandages himself, but is starting to not feel great as well.
Telsix's lightning can't quite hit the mark. Can Aysén save the day before the creature acts again?

Aysén Ory |

Fortitude: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Go punch those oozes Aysén, they're definitely not RADIOACTIVE! I'll remember this bug!
"I'm not feeling so good, gonna go lie down a bit. I think the radiation got to me."
Curse these dice, I'm pretty sure the lowest DC for radiation is 13. So now I'm on the latent stage of the physical disease track, yea?

GM Sparrowhawk |

Yes, exactly. It'll be once a day, 3 consecutive saves needed. I'm sure Tegrodera has some means of helping those checks.
You couldn’t be sure, but you can’t help but interpret the cube’s reaction to Sevash’s presence the same way a dog would react when seeing a steak. It shifls towards her and swings a pseudopod, attracted by her unusual tech, but misses.

"Truly, a pest. Is escaping the Swarm not difficult enough?"
Telsix buzzes to the top of the pile of crates and takes a shot at the ooze.
explorer hand cannon: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 for electricity: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Tegrodera Meloidae |

Heh, wouldn't it be funny if the Biohacker had a specific ability that was all about helping to prevent diseases from occurring? Wouldn't that be a hilarious turn of events? ^_^()
As if in response to Aysen's commentary, a flash from Tegrodera's past-training comes to mind as the ooze turns it's attention towards Sevash. Quickly loading a new dart into his Needler, Tegrodera administers a ranged booster to the Mechanic.
"Hold on Aysen, I can come assist you as soon as it's clear!"

Tegrodera Meloidae |

Sevash gets a +2 Fort save bonus for 3 rounds. Apparently the "Edit" option doesn't like me much.

Sevash Talyx |

"Thanks, Tegrodera"
Seeing that thing moving toward her, Sevash will take a guarded step back and fire again
Experimental Azimuth Laser Rifle: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 for Fire: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

GM Sparrowhawk |

Telsix and Sevash’s shots go wide. To make matters worse, from the top of the stairs you hear Loachwurt’s voice chiding you. “How can you miss a big cube of goo?! What kind of soldiers are you? I always knew you were incompetent. Just my luck to get stuck with the worst squad of the entire SDF! Didn’t you check the ship before you dragged us aboard?!””
Sevash gets a boost from Tegrodera’s expertise. Aysén stays protected behind some crates (this is a presumption, he can certainly act if you wish).
The glob takes another swipe at Sevash’s and her delicious experimental weapon, hitting her squarely.

Experimental Azimuth Laser Rifle: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 for Fire: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
But Sevash is reeling from the last hit

Aysén Ory |

Aysén would have slowly double moved around the room in the previous round (encumbered, photon attunement 2/3).
In the current round he would walk to within 10 feet of the remaining Ooze and activate his supernova revelation.
Fire: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 6) = 15 DC 13 Reflex save for half
Is this man for real? If I wasn't in uniform I would kill him myself!
"Is this real or am I hallucinating from the radiation exposure? Is there really some idiot shouting at us while we fight for his life?"

GM Sparrowhawk |

Aysén's supernova take the final bit of life animating the cube, which collapses into a steaming pile a protoplasm.
more later! Feel free search and react to Loachwurt if you wish.

GM Sparrowhawk |

Looking through the smashed crates and protoplasm . . .
In the meantime, Zantos keeps going: “Fireballs in a spaceship?! If the oozes didn’t get us, your recklessness will! Ridiculous!” He then stomps back up the stairs and out of sight.

Sevash Talyx |

Sevash will walk up to Loachwart
"We requested all citizens stay on the observation deck for their saftey. Why are you down here?"

Telsix Collective |

Engineering: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Telsix looks up from investigating the creates. "There are some useful supplies here."
To Zantos, they say, "Perhaps you would rather have been repurposed into food for an ooze? We are following standard military protocol."

Aysén Ory |

"I don't know who you are citizen, but you could literally jump out the airlock and I would not lose a second of sleep. In fact, it would probably help me sleep after hearing the ignorant things you've been shouting."
Aysén starts walking towards the closest bed to get some rest, dreading what could come of this sickness taking hold of him.
Alright if I use that graphite carbon skin armor you found?

Tegrodera Meloidae |

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Not wanting to engage with Zantos, Tegordera shrinks by and follows Aysen with the intent to provide aid.
"How are you feeling Aysen? Let's find a spot to get you setup and then, with your permission, I can see what can be done."

GM Sparrowhawk |

Zantos seems to swallow a squeak at the unified response from the squad, turns on a heel, and all but runs away from the cargo hold.
Let me know anything else you want to do, otherwise, I’ll move us forward later this afternoon.
I think it makes sense for Aysén to make the first Fort save on the next day. Tegrodera can provide that auto +2 to the check due to his specialty field of study.

Tegrodera Meloidae |

Wherever Aysen laid down after the combat, Tegrodera attempts to provide aid and unburden himself at the same time.
"This is the most treatment we can do for now I'm afraid. Take it easy as best you can and let me know of any change in how you're feeling. I'm sorry as well, Aysen, for not speaking up about the radioactive nature of those creatures first. At the time, I could only think of subduing them in the quickest way possible and it wasn't until after you had gotten injured that I realized our best weapon was also putting himself at risk. I do apologize and will try to be more cognizant of this in the future."
Whenever it's pertinent to do so after seeing to Aysen, Tegrodera would also take 10 for himself to recover SP if possible.

GM Sparrowhawk |

You gather the materials you found, get some bots to start the clean-up process, and can head to bed, if you are ready.
Xelonan checks in with you before sleep. He’s had the most contact with the other evacuees on board, and reports that though thankful to still be alive, they are in low spirits. Xelonan explains that while, luckily, the Terminus Wild’s galley has enough food in its cabinets to feed , these rations are mostly basic R2Es intended for the ship’s original crew. However, the galley also holds a few exotic spices, as well as some strange dried fruits and vegetables. Xelonan finds the asks if he can take on the responsibility of preparing meals for everyone, in an effort to boost morale.
So sleep, unless there is anything you want to do first? Aysén can make his first Fort save with +2 from Tegorodera upon waking up.
The next day passes largely uneventfully. Sevash should make a Piloting check. If there is anyone you want to talk to, downtime activities to engage in, or the like, please feel free to note that.
There do continue to be reports of flashing lights, temporary glitches in appliances (Xelanon makes a bit of a mess of breakfast, but the macrowave heat elements was on the fritz), and strange sounds, which has the evacuees even more on edge.

Sevash Talyx |

"I can't see any reason why Xelonan can't make some meals."
Sevash will suggest they set up a watch and make periodic walk-throughs of the ship
Piloting: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19

Aysén Ory |

"Yes, we all make mistakes...don't let it happen again...
I will never forgive this slight. Remember this day, for I will.
Fortitude: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

GM Sparrowhawk |

Sevash notices that once again they are off course, but is able to easily make adjustment to course correct.
With the tender ministrations of Tegrodera to help, Aysén starts to recover. One down, two to go.
Tegrodera and Telsix, any other activities?
