OK, folks anyone hit so far needs to get close to me. If this encounter follows the pattern, putting this guy down will unleash another elemental. But if everyone is close to me (30' radius), I can channel and heal us all; assuming no one attacks it before I channel, the healing won't help it. Samuel finds that electricity works fine on the water elemental. Arrows work too, not as well though, and Khedron can't make heads or tails of this water thing. Ohrmizd looks like he stopped taking this threat seriously. He cuts leisurely into the creature. Heshan follows Samuel's example, but has the same issue as Khedron, not hitting the thing.
As most hide behind the elk, the water elemental attacks Khedron.
