Horrified as Audrahni chokes on the creature, Frantino tries to slap her back several times in order to help her cough the thing out, hoping she is able to do so!

Fort save: 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 8 - 2 = 22 as an aid another action? If the heal skill is more appropriate, that's a +1.

Does Audrahni need an initiative roll, or does she just come out of delay now?

The shade moves underground to an adjacent square and then performs standard action (su) that doesn’t provoke.

Audrahni will act at bottom of the turn order.i

If none of our previous knowledge checks revealed how to combat this effect, there's not much Hatfield can do. Confirmed that this round, I'll heal Nasir. Next round, if Audrahni continues choking, I will try to aid another with the heal skill.

This being a situation beyond Yazhi's experience, Ayita casts "speak with animals" and explains the shade simply to Yazhi. She'll take the dagger if people find it.

Something like,

"Help Audrahni, Yazhi, bite swirling dust monster if leaves Audrahni".

Frantino will cast shield on himself then move around to flank with Nasir should Ilsynor return to the same square. He'll then try to taunt Ilsynor to attack him next.

"What's wrong, Ilsynor, afraid of a half-elf like me? Audrahni said you would be!"

As a force effect, shield specifically says that it increases touch AC vs incorporeal touch attacks, so his touch AC is effectively 15 against the shade.
