Ayita is about to move where the Blue Goblin was hoping... Blue had a readied attack! -- but Ayita spotted Blue, and moves down through Nasir's space to attack Red. She misses Red.

The walls of the maze are 5-ft tall. Sometimes a bit higher. You can hear goblin mutters and gabbling, but the creatures are too short to see from where you are. You are unsure where the noises are coming from. Perhaps just over the wall? Perhaps in a larger cavern space to the south. Unknown.

I don't see a maze on the map, but I assume that the next cavern has a maze. Is the cavern tall enough for us to stand on top of the maze? Or do we need to make certain checks to get through the maze?

You are currently in a mazelike series of passageways. The walls are 5-6ft tall and the cavern ceiling itself is 15-18ft tall. You could climb the walls and attempt to stand atop them (a Climb check and an Acrobatics check to balance on the narrow top of the wall).

Correct. It could be done. With some risk. Place is crawling with goblins waiting for opportunities to attack vulnerable Qadiran warriors.

Chief Cheektooth screeches upon seeing another of his tribe's warriors die on longshank steel.

"ZARONGEL SHHHOOOOM G'BREEKYARK!" he yells from where he is on the ceiling.

Speak Goblin:
"Zarongel likes fire for longhanks!"

He gestures, throwing a small ball of glowing red energy outwards. It floats-flies high above the maze walls past Nasir's bloody scimitar tip, over Ayita's head and past Frantino who, perhaps, looks up and watches it coast through the air, as if in slow motion.

It stops five feet over from Frantino, 15ft in the air.

And then it explodes.

DEATH FROM ABOVE!
Fire cascades down from the ceiling of the cavern, washing over the heroes! Burning flames of pain and heat sear into every one of the heroes.

As the blast of sound and fire quiets, it is replaced by the cackling of the flying goblin chief above the heroes, watching the carnage and laughing gleefully.

Beyond the maze, the happy pyromantic shouts of "SHHOOOM! SHHOOOM! SHHOOOM!" are heard echoing through the cavern. A foreshadowing of more to come, perhaps.

Goblin bodies are burning on all sides. The top half of the goblin Nasir just killed stares up with its dead eyes at him through a mask of fire. The pierced lips pull back as they burn, contorting into an insane vengeful grin. Its eyes suddenly melt and only flames are left in the sockets, staring at Nasir like some demonic hell-face.

One of the still-living goblins, in an ecstatic charge, rushes at Nasir!

Yazhi leaps over the smashed goblin and savages the bow-goblin (pink)! The female (?) goblin fights valiantly, beating at the nightmare monster with the fangs and smoking fur. She sees blood flying from the savage beast's mouth and wonders who from her brave tribe valiantly hit it. Then she realizes it is likely HER blood, spattering from the monster's mouth as it tears her arm off. She watches the creature growl and snarl and throw her bow, and arm with it, onto the floor before leaping back onto her chest. The flaming fur of the demon dog occludes everything as the monster opens its mouth One. More. Time.

The last thing she thinks as the invading monster closes its fanged mouth about her face is... Fire. Fire is good.
