He grabs his holy symbol and holds it high, calling out ot Zarongel for pain and suffering! An ominous energy appears in the cavern, spreading out over every single living thing.

DYING
It appears that now is the time to remind everybody: If a dying creature has an amount of negative hit points equal to its Constitution score, it dies.

Stable Characters and Recovery
On the character’s next turn, after being reduced to negative hit points (but not dead), and on all subsequent turns, the character must make a DC 10 Constitution check to become stable. The character takes a penalty on this roll equal to his negative hit point total. A character that is stable does not need to make this check. A natural 20 on this check is an automatic success. If the character fails this check, he loses 1 hit point.

You can keep a dying character from losing any more hit points and make him stable with a DC 15 Heal check.

Summary: make a Con check on your turn to see if you stabilize. If not, then you take another -1hp.

This seems like an appropriately dramatic time for the link to kick in, will you allow it next round even though Frantino is unconscious?

As you look at Pharasma's Spire in the distance, the River of Souls flowing around you towards the Spire, you remember the elven woman... what was her name? Audrey? Donnie? Audrahni! She would not have wanted you to enter the River of Souls so soon...

Frantino steps out of the glowing river of energy and turns away from the Spire in the distance.

HELL YEAH! Drama trumps RAW! Roll that CMW! You'll be prone, having fallen to the ground as your soul decided (prematurely) that its body was dead.

THE OVERALL CAVERN
The walls of some of the cavern look suspiciously... crafted. This isn't any ordinary cave, but rather a stone structure of some sort, covered by time and detritus.

Nasir will stow his bow and pick up his sword and shield to stand guard while Doc tends to the all the wounded. Nasir notes the worked nature of the cavern and takes glances at the walls to see if there are any Thassilonian markings or runes anywhere.

Is Bort dead dead or can we stabilize him as well? He helped us, so it would be nice if we could save him from death as well. I think in the far future a goblin and his halfling companion might need him to be a part of their caravan to the remote village of Etran's Folly...

I don't understand it, Roscoe, but this little goblin woman recognized me, and spoke just like Shirri speaks, in her accent! You don't suppose that goblin witch transformed her or something? That would be a very powerful magic.

Ayita starts carefully moving the goblin woman a little, puts a cloth under her head, and looks at her injuries.

She also looks at the goblin's ears, carefully... Shirri always wears lots of jewelry, and has several piercings in her ears.
