Game Master

Initiative = 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Action 1 - I draw my bastard sword and wield it with 2 hands. Then move towards the enemy saying "Well, a fight. Thisss should be fun" I then let out a raspy laugh.

Action 2 - The same as action 1 but without moving towards the enemy.

Male Aasimar Oracle(Planar and Possessed) lvl 1 Barbarian(Urban) lvl 1 Total lvl 2

Fealix merely looks at the monsters with interest.

Voice:

[i]Now we have a choice, kill the beast, or let them kill our friends. Quite honestly though, I have been very agitated of late. Let's kill them and bath in their blood my dear Fealix.

"That seems a bit unsanitary but your are right" Fealix pulls out his masterwork morning star and shield. He then casts cloak of darkness bringing his AC to 18. "It will be nice to take out some agitation!" He will then five foot step forward.

The actions above have been used up. Waiting on round 2

Initiative:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

Male Tiefling Ranger(Trapper)-1/Cleric-1

Init:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

"Oh you beasts made the wrong choice!" He smirks at his old friend "It's starting to feel like old times."

Action 1:
Xeros readies his mswk longbow at lets loose a arrow at one of the creatures that isn't around his new comrades.
Bow attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Damage:1d8 ⇒ 7
if they are within 30 ft +1 to attack and damage.

Action 2:
If I can't get a clear shot from where I am at will move to a different angle and take a shot just use the same roll for either shot.

DM eyes only:

Init Order:
Fealix
Xeros
M2
M3
M1 - 4 damage
Amgir
Conrad

Fealix draws a morning star, casts, and then moves. Xeros's arrow goes wide of the orc who growls back at the tiefling. The three creatures move to engage Fealix, Amgir, and Conrad. Conrad being that your the leader you will get an attack of opportunity on one of them(rolled for you to keep combat moving). Conrad I need you to make me a will save, this I won't roll for you. Now the 3 creatures attack Conrad, Fealix, and Amgir. Fealix your on the ground dying(at -3), Amgir your hit for 16 damage, and Conrad your creature misses you. The creature in front of Fealix grunts and looks down at the bleeding Fealix and shakes its head. I need will saves from Fealix and Amgir. Amgir your up and draw your sword and talk to the creature, though he doesn't seem to understand you. While you didn't say you were going to attack I'm going to assume you would(seeing that he REALLY hurt you). Your sword goes through the orc, cutting it in twain, blood spraying everywhere. Conrad you will draw your rapier on your turn and then take a drink from your flask.

END ROUND 1

Summary:
Fealix is dying(maybe dead) at -3 hp
Amgir your currently at 1 hp
I need will saves from Fealix, Amgir, and Conrad. These saves are mind effecting so if you have any bonuses apply those. Fealix you can still make your save while your dead.

Ouch this dice roller decided to finally roll well...sorry guys. Oh and if you made your will save go ahead and read the spoiler for the will save above and be sure to let your other party members know...and sorry to spoil the surprise but I'm tired of calling these things creatures...they're orcs. Its kind of obvious.

Game Master

I would have attacked yes, but didn't know how far away the enemy was.

Will save = 1d20 ⇒ 4

Next I will start frothing at the mouth and start screaming at the enemy "THATSSS IT, YOU'RE GONNA PAY!!!" Obviously, going into rage Then I shall attack the next enemy.

Katana attack:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Katana damage:1d10 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

Male Tiefling Ranger(Trapper)-1/Cleric-1

Action 1:

Shout in goblin at the orcs, "You pigs! Try that on me!"
Will move within 30 ft of the creature if I'm not already and fire a shot at the one that just took down Fealix.
Bow shot:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Damage:1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Action 2:
If that one is not up shot another target will take the -4 if they are engaged with somebody and still shout to get there attention.

Male Human Cleric/1

Will Save
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Conrad lowers his sword for just a moment. "Friends, these orcs aren't what they seem. Or, rather, these orcs aren't, at all." he says. A puzzled look on his face. He looks at Fealix, who has obviously suffered a grave wound - but he sees that the wound, too, was an illusion. He calls out to the surrounding forest, "Hullo! Who's out there? We know this is a little game you're playing with us! Show yourself!"

Game Master

"If they are not Orcsss, then what are they?! At leassst they can ssstill die like Orcsss!"

Now that the illusion has been figure out, the orcs disapate. All wounds are healed. Make me perception checks.

Perseption check DC 15:
You notice a cloaked figure sneaking away out of the woods back towards town. The catch the faint smell of pipe smoke and you remember that one of the wizards in town was very fond of smoking a pipe.

Amgir I'm going to be nice and make you not waste that round of rage so you can come out of it with out entering if you wish.

Male Tiefling Ranger(Trapper)-1/Cleric-1

Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
I swear the dice roller hates me today!haha

As the illusions disapear, Xeros will move to Fealix to make sure he's okay and will help him up.

"Are you alright my friend? Does anybody see the caster?"

Just curious if I can do a seperate perception for searching for a magic trap? If so Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22.

Game Master

Thanks Math, that would be appreciated.

Perception = 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

"What jussst happened?! Where did they go? Jussst asss I wasss getting into it too!"

"OI! Who are you?! Xxxerosss, over there, going back towardsss the town!" I point towards the figure, so that Xeros can see where I mean

Fealix looks around kind of panicked for a moment. He clutches the area where he thought he had been wounded.

Voice:

It wasn't real Dumb@$$! Even I could tell they were fake. Now get up and look around.

Fealix allows Xeros to help him up. He quickly looks around still panting from the adrenaline rush he got.
Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

"I recognize that smell." Fealix narrows his eyes and moves in earnest in the direction that he saw the form go. "The flame can wait. I have a lesson to teach someone." Fealix will now pursue the individual. "Xeros, I could use your tracking skills."

After Xeros helps his friend up, he looks in the direction of Agmir and Fealix tell him the enemy is then moves quickly to pick up his trail.

"I think I found the trail."

Male Aasimar Oracle(Planar and Possessed) lvl 1 Barbarian(Urban) lvl 1 Total lvl 2

"Good now let's give chase and catch the bastard!"
[Spoiler=Voice]
Yes I want to see something get its heart ripped out
"So do I! It will make me feel much better after the embarrassment I have suffered!"
If Xeros leads the way, Fealix will join in the chase.

He senses that he's being followed and he takes a quick turn into the woods hoping you'll lose him in the thick trees and underbrush but you persist. Becoming a little more frightened he turns and addresses the group. STOP!!! I meant you no harm. Please keep that possessed man with the cursed celestial blood from killing me and I'll explain everything.

Game Master

"Cursssed, jussst becaussse they are not like you doesssn't mean thossse 2 are cursssed. I am, but they are not!"

As I didn't go into rage, I also wouldn't have shouted, therefore I wouldn't have been angry. So I don't have any reason to hurt this man.

"Thank-you for the fight, I really needed that!"

Male Human Cleric/1

Conrad holds back, a small smile on his face. "That poor fool," he says aloud. "He tried to trick the wrong group. I suppose I'd better go stop them from skinning his old hide." He trots to catch up. Seeing that the man has been cornered, he stops to listen to his explanation.

His eyes narrow as he looks at Amgir. I know what you are troglidite...and your form may not be your fault. He seems to be struggling with his words, wanting to say more. He seems very afraid of irritating the group as he doesn't want to die.

I was sent here by your mentors to test your abilities and readiness for the task that lays ahead. Though you figured out that this wasn't real, I must report back that it seems you're not as ready as they would have hoped. Had those been real orcs you would have lost one man for sure and most likely another. I didn't mean to startle you, but you need to remember these woods are full of all sorts of things much worse than some illusion that I throw at you, so be on your feet. We, as elders, wanted to make sure you were taking this mission seriously and realizing that it is very dangerous to be out here. Your not kids anymore who are safe in the towns walls, out here many things can go wrong and as trusted members you need to be prepared.

Hopefully he gets this speech off with out Fealix killing him...

Male Tiefling Ranger(Trapper)-1/Cleric-1

Sense Motive:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Xeros stands between the wizard and Fealix to let the man talk.

"You had to end your rouse early since we....Conrad figured it out. So you cannot truly say two of us would of died, since our cleric was still up and could get Fealix back up while I cover them with my archery. Also Amgir slew a orc in a single blow. Yes we had a rough start, though all new groups go through that we would of prevailed in the end, I know it."

He grips his bow tighter, "If you wish to try again, I will accept the challenge, but If not I would suggest that you let us be on our way since we still have a bit more of traveling to do."

He seems to be telling the truth but still seems to be choosing his words very carefully.

Yes fine be on your way, I didn't mean for you to chase after me like a bunch of angry bears stalking their pray. He impatiently takes a puff of his pipe and continues You will be smart to head my warning though, as you saw things can quickly get out of hand here in these woods. And the three of you with alien blood need to get a better grip of your anger, as it will quickly lead you down a path you don't want to be on. While some of this is a trial of your skills, some may not be just a test. You need to be careful when desiphring between the two because being wrong can have deadly consequences. And with that the man tugs on his neckless and is gone.

You're all in the woods a little bit off the path you were heading on. You figure that you have about 2 hours before it will become unsafe to travel(to dark and a little cold). Someone make me a survival check to keep tracking along. You all get 125 xp for dealing with the orcs and then interacting with the man and not killing him.

Male Aasimar Oracle(Planar and Possessed) lvl 1 Barbarian(Urban) lvl 1 Total lvl 2

Fealix bursts into a rage. "Hold on! This old man has humiliated me and therefore has forfeited his right to live! I want blood!" Fealix will try to push past Xeros. "Out of my way! His life is mine! I will tear his heart out and eat it for embarrassing me like that."

Perception of 10:

You will notice that as Fealix is shouting insanities at the old man, he sounds as though he has two voices. His eyes are also glowing fiercely.

Provided Xeros is enough to hold him back, Fealix will calm down and relax. In his normal voice he mutters. "One more thing on my to. do list when I get back. He will then continue quietly with the others. He looks them. Sorry about that. Getting fooled and nearly killed by an illusion just pushed me over the deep end.

Bluff: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

For DM:

Dude! No one is suppose to know i'm possessed. I have a high bluff for that reason. Also. Don't move on without me.

Game Master

I will keep up with Conrad, to see what the figure has to say and to say a few things."Asss Xxxerosss mentioned, we could have ssstill won and even though it wasss fake, it wasss ssstill fun, apart from Fealixxx getting hurt, or not hurt asss the cassse may be, thisss isss confusssing. But it taught usss how to work asss a team better. I too would accccccept your challenge. Pleassse tell Braggar, I have kept it in check ssso far."

Once the man is gone I turn to Xeros "You have a way with wordsss that I will never have, ssso you like to ssstay back in a fight? Well I hope you don't hit me by missstake."

Perception = 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Male Tiefling Ranger(Trapper)-1/Cleric-1

Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Survival:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Xeros will hold back his friend from doing anything foolish.

"Relax Fealix, that wizard upset us all with his little test that he ended early since Conrad figured out the trick. But we will prove him wrong now we fought once together we will do better each time there after."

He just eyes his friend as he hears more then he did before and will watch him more closely.

"Thanks Amgir, don't put yourself down but if it helps your the best speaking troglidite I have ever met. I'll try not to hit you ,but I won't give any promises haha." He gives him a friendly smile.

Game Master

"Thanksss Xxxerosss, ssso have you met many other Troglodytesss then? Thatsss encouraging, at leassst I won't hit you at all though. Ssseeing asss you will be far behind me! Maybe I would end up with an arrow shirt, HA, HA, HA!"

Sorry I haven't posted...been busy with other stuff...like my RL Raise of the Runelords game...level 16 rocks! :P.

Okay you guys travel uneventfully for the rest of the day and soon the sunlight begins to fade and a cold wind begins to rattle through the leafless forest. There is now no sign of civilization in sight. Feeling the chill of the wind start to set in you stumble across a clearing in the woods and decide that this would be a good place to set up camp. I need survival checks from everyone for picking a place to set up their tents. I also need someone to set up a fire and start to get dinner going(Survival DC 15 to find food or you can have rations).

Male Aasimar Oracle(Planar and Possessed) lvl 1 Barbarian(Urban) lvl 1 Total lvl 2

"By Lamasthu it is blighted cold out here!!" Fealix shouts. He begins to look for a place protected from the wind by natural barriers. He will then proceed to set up camp and then will begin a quest for food.
Survival for tent:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Survival for food:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Male Tiefling Ranger(Trapper)-1/Cleric-1

Survival for tent:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Survival for Food:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Survival for Fire:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Xeros sets up the fire first, then his tent, and finally looks a little bit for food but gives up. As he starts to get out one of his rations.
Watch over his group and willing to help them with there tents.

"Get your mind off the cold, and focus on setting up the camp. It will help my friend." He says to Fealix offering his winter blanket to his friend.

Male Aasimar Oracle(Planar and Possessed) lvl 1 Barbarian(Urban) lvl 1 Total lvl 2

Fealix takes the blanket and gives up hunting before he even starts. "Bah! Hunting is for dogs. I have my own nourishment here."
Fealix pulls out his own rations and begins to eat as well.

Voice:

How amusing would it be to pour water on the cleric's feet while he sleeps.

Fealix looks over at the cleric, a strange amused smile creeps across his face. "Amusing indeed, but not know. I want to see what is in this crypt and Xeros and I will need a meat shield."
Voice:

Whatever, If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were getting attached to these individuals.
"They have their uses. For now I will leave them be. I how you and your kind work, but we're going at my pace okay. I say we simply move on, there will be a time for that later. Now hush up, I don't need you making me look crazy okay?"
[spoiler=Voice]
Fine, have it your way. It has just been a while since we last put a poor fool out of their misery. You remember that gambler who used to beat his wife right?

Fealix starts chuckling to himself. "Hehehe, yeah back when he still had hands hehehe. That was funny to watch. Hard to beat your wife when you have no appendages to do so huh?"

Fealix will continue to sit in his tent and have a pleasant chat with himself.

Xeros:

Fealix used to do this a lot back in the orphanage. You are almost certain that he is talking with a demon.

Male Human Cleric/1

"I'm not much for camping," Conrad says, shrugging. "I will help as needed, but will need to look to someone else for guidance. And are we eating our rations for dinner, or does someone want to go for a spot of hunting?"

Game Master

Survival for Food = 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Survival for Fire = 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

While everybody is setting up their tents, I go to look for food and happen to find a deer. After looking around, I manage to get into a perfect spot to catch it and with a single swing of my sword, its head comes clean off. I carry the deer body back to the camp. "Anybody want to share thisss with me? Conrad? Xxxerosss, mind if I share your fire to cook thisss meal? You can help yourssself to sssome asss well. You too Fealixxx."
After eating, I spent along time trying to set up my tent, before finally getting it completed, with only a few shouts and fits of anger. As soon as I have finished, I will get inside my tent and try to get some sleep. Although I am struggling as I am still angry, it takes me about an hour to finally fall asleep.

While your eating I need perception checks from everyone. If you make the listed DC below please read the spoiler and react appropriately.

Perception DC 5:
It seems that while Amgir was out in the woods his scent attracted some wolves. You can hear them howling outside of camp. Though they are not currently a threat they could soon become one.

Just curious how you guys are liking the game so far? Amgir and Conrad I'm most interested in your feedback since your new to gaming with me. Sadly Fealix and Xeros have suffered through my Dming before.

Once I am back in camp with my kill "Did you guysss hear that, we bessst take turnsss on watch. I would gladly take the firssst watch asss I don't think I will be able to sssleep for a while."

Once I have eaten and everyone else is in their tents sleeping, I shall be sitting on my winter blanket, cleaning my sword, then sharpening it and polishing it.

I am enjoying it so far, it has definitely beaten any expectations I had. Still trying to get use to the no map thing, so can't judge whether I can move into range and attack within 1 round. But other than that I am thoroughly enjoying it. Also just updated my Character profile more, put in my speed and Stench details.

Hey guys - sorry for the lack of posting. It's been a crazy day. I'll try to post stuff later tonight or first thing tomorrow morning.

Fealix:
Thanks for letting me know what I acutally know I didn't want to accidently meta game hehe.

Xeros:
I have a surprise for you in my Jade Regent tread if you want to check that.

Xeros is able to detect that they will be here on Amgir's watch. I'll try and get a map up sometime...probably tomorrow morning.

Male Tiefling Ranger(Trapper)-1/Cleric-1

"I estimate that the wolves will arrive sometime during the first watch, do you all think we should stay awake just in case or maybe switch the watches to two people at a time? I'm open to either Idea, what do the rest of you think?"

As Xeros is talking he is restringing his bow, and getting his equipment ready. After finishing up his ration of course.

Male Aasimar Oracle(Planar and Possessed) lvl 1 Barbarian(Urban) lvl 1 Total lvl 2

Fealix snorts. "Why do you keep denying me my fun? They will wander into to camp eventually, why not just deal with them now? Come on. It'll be a good stress relief to pick a fight with some wild animals. Afterwards we can cook them and eat them. You know, roughing it. It's intense....like camping." Fealix will look at Xeros for a moment and will then move out to find the wolves. "We'll need to deal with them sooner or later. I don't know about you, but I'd like a peaceful night sleep and I have a lot of pent up frustration to work out.

Voice:

Indeed, I'm getting all hot and bothered just feeling you seethe with frustration and the idea of what you will do to those wolves, well it really gets me worked up.

Fealix blushes for a moment, shakes his head, and begins his hunt.

Game Master

"Fealixxx I have sssome anger I need to get rid of, ssso I will join you in thisss hunt. I have never eaten wolf before, should be interesssting."

I draw my sword, clean any blood from the deer off and head to towards Fealix. "You ready for sssome fun?"

Fealix turns to Amgir. "I am beginning to like you more and more every minute. Come let us go vent together, just don't hit me okay." With that Fealix will continue his search.

Anyone else going with them?

Amgir you can tell that the wolves are coming from the east, through a heavily forested part of camp. You can also tell that there is more than one of them.

Male Human Cleric/1

Conrad, not one to be left out of a fight, follows after them, drawing his rapier and grinning widely. "Oho, lads. Wait for me! Don't skewer a wolf without me."

Male Tiefling Ranger(Trapper)-1/Cleric-1

Xeros follows them with a sigh, "I don't need you two getting lost on my watch. At least let us try and do this right."

Xeros grabs what is left of the deer meat and bloody pelt and puts it in a sack.

"Let us move closer and we will set up a trap for these creatures, using what attracted them."

As they move forward Xeros will be keeping a eye out for a clearing where he can hang the remaining meat and the group can try to hide where the wind won't carry there scent to well.

Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Knowledge(nature):1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Excellent...Fealix will once again be denied his urge to kill...this is really enjoyable.

After Xeros sets the trap you guys hide in the bushes and wait, though Xeros you might have to cup your hand over Fealix's mouth to keep him from complaining. After about 5 minutes you see a wolf come out of the woods. From your roll you can tell the wolf is starving and is probably only looking for food and means no real harm to the group. He sniffs the air and heads right for your trap and eats the peice of meat. Being glad for the meal the creature runs quickly back into the woods.

You feel the eyes of another two wolves on you though. So what do you do?

Male Aasimar Oracle(Planar and Possessed) lvl 1 Barbarian(Urban) lvl 1 Total lvl 2
